Chapter 8

The next morning, he woke up with a wide smile on his face, to the point that it seemed as if he was trying to touch his ears with the corner of his lips. His roommates were particularly curious about what had gotten him so cheerful that early in the morning when he had practically stumped into the room the evening before, complaining about a class that had been scheduled out of the blue.

  But since he was an outcast in the room there was no one that was going to ask him why he was so cheerful that morning, so they did the usual off taunting him, but he did not even spare them a single glance and just got ready for his first lecture that day.

 The person that will be teaching them that morning was the same professor that had embarrassed him the day before, this left his roommates even more confused as to why he was excited about that. but Rex was not able to make it to the class before he noticed that some people were following him from behind. When he stood waiting for them to pass, they also stood as well, confirming his suspicion.

 But he decided to waive them off they were probably just gossiping behind his back as usual well they would really have something to talk about after he showed off his skills, as he was heading for his usual sit in the back the people that have been following him work forward brushing him aside and going to sit there. if Rex had not quickly balanced himself at that moment he would have fallen on his face.

 "Hey, fireball freak you don't mind if we take the seat right?"

 The person who said that was a boy with blonde hair that was one of the best water enchantment users in their year. There were even rumours that he had been able to stand his ground against people of higher levels with ease, he was followed by two other boys who seemed to be way less popular and way less strong as well.

 "Actually this might surprise you a bit..."Rex said as he tightened up his hold on his books.

 "but I mind quite a bit this is actually my seat if you get what I mean everyone knows I sit here so maybe you can go and sit somewhere else-"

 Rex was not done talking before the blonde guy interrupted him by looking under the desk and then around it brushing the surface with his hands then he told his millions that were by his side to do the same thing and Rex was becoming more irritated by the second.

 "what are you even doing?"

Rex yelled at them as he slammed his book on the desk, almost on the finger of one of the minions who quickly swiped his finger away for safety.

"Can you chill?" said the water enchantment user.

 "It's just a stupid desk you can sit anywhere else-"

 the blond suddenly covered his mouth as if he had said something totally wrong.

 "Oh I almost forgot you don't have any friends, come on guys let's not pick on him many more..." he said getting up and his minions immediately followed after him but he had barely gotten anywhere when Rex reached forward, grabbing him by his shoulder and making him turn around.

  "You might as well just go ahead and sit in it. I'll find somewhere else to sit..."

 The boy immediately slapped Rex's hand.

"Who the heck do you think you are to be shouting orders at me?! I'm going to squash you, you little fireball freak...!"

     Rex had had it up to his neck that woke me up this morning with expectations but then there was always someone like this guy who was always trying to ruin his day but he was going to show them a big surprise.

 "Please everybody knows that you are all talk, there's nothing that you can do to me..." he said to the blond male, the boy looked as if he was all but about to strangle him at that moment.

 "What did you just say to me? ok then why don't you put your money where your mouth is? Let's meet at the training Hall later for a little sparring session. It seems that you need to be taught your place in this university...."

 After that, the professor walked over.

 "are both of you about to fight?"

 He said his old eyes were practically glittering.

 Both boys nodded in unison.

 " Then there's no need to continue with this class now you will both settle the sparring session immediately,"

  This was exactly one of the reasons why every professor found it hard to keep up with his curriculum and was constantly borrowing more time. Jared magical University was one that deeply supported competitiveness today. Only the best were supposed to survive while the weak would be weeded out.

  so in a few moments, Rex found himself in the training Hall while the rest of his class did not look at him they were all focused on the blond boy somehow everyone had become his personal cheerleader and they were encouraging the blonde one to really teach Rex a lesson that will send him packing out

 of school.

  As both of them walked into the open sparring ring they had not even gone 10 seconds when someone was suddenly wrapped up in a water chain enchantment immediately trapping that person, however, everyone was blown away when they realized that it was actually Rex that used the enchantment.

 his professor came over ignoring the blond boy as if he was not even there then walked over to Rex.

 "My boy, have you finally unlocked all the enchantments as well?"

 Rex shook his head.

 "no sir it's still just this one and my fire enchantment..."

 The bubbling excitement on the professor's face immediately calms down but he just tells Rex to work harder.

 "You still have a long way to go."
