"Mind if I accompany you"
"I don't, I kind of need a break from this old man" Xander made a slight joke and was surprised when she laughed. Nobody ever laughed at his joke except his daughter, everyone else always raised an eyebrow then shook their head. "I understand you" the attendant said and I eyes left Xander to Max. "He remind me of my grandfather, you know how Mexican grandparents can be, so overprotective and rarely let you have a life" Max raised an eyebrow at that statement. He stared down at his knuckles it dew winkles on it but not enough to be referred as a grandfather. He stared at his reflection on the showcase, his face showed no sign of winkle thanks to his wife who nagged him on eating healthy food. "I'm not even sixty!" he wanted to say but he bit his tongue and swallowed his word. "Tell me about it" Xander smirked and looked at Max fuming through the corner of his eyes as he walked deeper into mall, the sound of his footstep followed after him. "Max" Xander called and followed. "It was just a joke" "Just shut it and follow me" Max said sternly and smirked as the young master apologize continuously. He was going to get every apology he didn't get from the father from the son. "Let it be, if he continues to be angry we can ditch him" the attendant suggested in hopes to get Max attention. "Young lady, don't you dare corrupt my grandson" he shunned with a side joke. "Grandson? You and my dad are like the same age" Xander protested "I older than that idiot by a year" Max refuted back and the attendant giggled at their banter. "I haven't gotten your name yet" Max questioned and walked through a shirt selection screening for Xander size. "I'm Miranda, I hate the name so Randy for short" the attendant answer. "What about you?" she asked and nudge Xander. "Alexander, a mouthful so Xander for short, and he is Max, my father's... " the young master introduced but was short of word to refer Max to. "Assistance. Try this" Max said, getting their attention and shoving some set of clothes on hangers to him. Randy nodded her head like the questions in her head has been answered before looking at the clothes Xander was holding "Don't put your anger on the clothes" Xander said and checked the price tag out of habit. His eyes almost bulged out of the socket but he didn't say anything about it because of Randy was beside him. "I should have left you with your father" Max retorted. "But you didn't because you aren't heartless" Xander said and noticed Max stopped in front of a door. "Go in there and change" Max said and it clicked to him this was a changing room. He slowly turned the handle of the door as a forgotten memory came to him. The step through the opened door and it felt like he walked into his past as the blurred memory played like a movie in front of him. Him and Hermia, his wife, stood in the room. She was helping him with his cufflinks while she sat graceful on the chair provided there. This was before three months before they married and two weeks since they met in an unforeseen circumstances. He had saved her from a rapist in an alleyway and this was he way of saving thanks. At first he refused bit she insisted, saying that she doesn't like been indebted to someone. "You look handsome" she complemented as she stood beside him in front of a mirror. "I do?" Xander asked naively. "Yes, you looked like you could be someone husband and we look good together" Hermia said and smiled in front of the mirror like she was smiling to so camera. "I look handsome" Xander said like it was a foreign language and stared at the image of both of them in the mirror. His heart flutter as he understood what Hermia said but that was a far dream from reality. "We take this, change back and wait for for outside, I would have this paud for" Hermia said and Xander side, the memory dissappearing at each step Hermia took to the door until the door clicked close. That was how that day ended and the next time he saw Hermia, she offered that he married her in exchange for paying of his debt. Xander felt chills in his blood and blinked at the room, it was different from the one in his memory. This changing room had white paint and was far bigger than the one in his memory. There was a full length mirror different from the waist length one in his memory. A tear dropped on the shirt he was holding that's when he noticed he was crying. "Gosh, I'm crying so much this days" he muttered and wiped the tears and begin to change. He stood in front of the mirror once he was done. The gray suit went well with the white undershirt. He finally looked like an heir, a successor and a Cage. Caught himself smiling, feeling a sense of pride and self-assurance he hadn't experienced in a long time. The suit was more than just clothes; it was a symbol of his newfound identity and purpose. "I'm going to make you regret using me, Hermia, I would make everyone leave you even if it is the last thing I do" Xander said to the mirror and walked out of the changing room to meet Max and Randy. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, armed with his newfound confidence and a sense of belonging. The suit had become a armor, protecting him from the doubts and fears that had held him back for so long. "It fits you" Max said and he took it as a compliment and smiled instead of gushing as he would have done before. "You look handsome" Randy complimented "I know" he answered as his back straighten volunteeringly and his leg strengthen as he put his hands into his pant pocket. Max and Randy noticed the change of aura but didn't say anything about it. "I would pay for that and this" Max said, referring to the clothes male attendant was holding. Xander changed out of the clothes and gave it to the male attendant who followed Max to make payments. "Mind if I change out this uniform" Randy asked Xander who shook his head and smiled at her. He wandered into the jacket section which was not far from the formal section. During his teenager days he admired bikers for their jacket but never had an opportunity to try it out. "Sorry for keeping you waiting" Randy said from behind him. He turned to her, she had changed out of the black and white uniform to a black tight leather pant that showcase her hips. She wore a leather jacket over a black crop top as her navel was in the view and so was her tanned skin. He was about to comment on her clothing before he heard a familiar voice. "I thought my eyes was tricking me but it's actually the church rat Xander" a very familiar female voice mocked. Xander can tell this voice in a crowd because of the number of times he had to handle her when she was high and drunk. He raised his head and looked behind Randy. A wave of disgust heat him, both his and hers as he saw Helena, Hermia's younger sister.Latest Chapter

"What do you mean by it's your brother's fault, even if it's truly his fault, Mr. Cage said that he died also you have no memory of him" Hunter said and wiped his tears stained face with the back of his hand. "I do now, I remember him, I remember our childhood, he was always the freak that put on a tough appearance but he was funny and caring in his own way" Xander said as his eyes lost focus and he reminisced about his past. "Even if you remembered him, how are you so sure he is alive and he is responsible for all these?" Hunter asked. "Gut feeling" Xander said with a smile then his eyes focused on Hunter again"You look like a mess" Xander said earning him a glare from his assistant. "That's because that's how I felt inside, gosh, I haven't even washed up since yesterday" Hunter said with a grimace as he sniffed his underarm. Xander scrunched his face and said, "So the sink was coming from you, I wonder if it was what woke me up from coma"Hunter gave him a light shoved at that

Everywhere was dark and nothing. No pain, no sense of anything, just total completeness of nothing until he heard the beeping sound. He wanted to turn to check where the sound was coming from but it was like he didn't have a body, just a sense that he was in a very dark place and that scared the shit out of him. At the same time the beeping got faster. He screamed maybe someone could hear and help him but no voice came out of his mouth. Then he tried to recount how he got here but nothing came up except for one. The one name that came to his mind like it had its own heart. Adam."Adam" he shouted as he opened his eyes. It was blur at first but he could make out people hovering above him before his vision cleared."Can you hear me Mr. Cage?" He heard the woman dressed in scrub ask him. He didn't know how to respond to that as no other word came to his mind other than 'Adam' and that's what he said. "Adam" he said lowly. Xander felt someone take his hand and turned to looked at the

Alexander's sleepy eyes widened as the sleep left his eyes. His eyes wandered to Adam's for signs of joke.Nothing, he noted. His eyes left his face and went down his body. His brother wasn't dressed in their usual sleep wear, T-shirt and brief. Instead a black polo and jeans gotten for them by the matrons last christmas. He also noticed he had a small old back pack their mother had wore on them the last time they saw her. "Are you for real!" Alexander whispered. Adam shrugged his shoulder and his lip tilted a little upward. Alexander sat up as Adam reached for his bed and pulled down the clothes he had readied for him and an identical backpack to his. Only difference was that one was better kept then the other. "I tried to clean it up the best I could" Adam said as he gave him the bag. Alexander ran his hand through the old zipper. This was the only thing that reminded him of their mom as he couldn't recollect how she looked like, not like Adam did. He started to undo the zipper

"Mr. And Mrs. Wick have come to fancy you and would like you to join their family" the director said with a smile that barely reached his eyes. Alexander turned his head to have a look at the sweet couples who decided to adopt a fourteen years old. They smiled sweetly at him and he smiled back. "Okay, but can you adopt by twin brother?" He politely asked and he noticed how quickly the director's smile disappeared and appeared again when the couples turned to director or help. "They can't afford two children and they have fallen in love with you, don't you want a family?" Director said in a calm tone seemed scary to people who are familiar with him. Alexander nodded curtly and looked at the slightly closed door from the corner of his. He was sure his brother was behind it listening as usual, waiting in case the director does something funny like slap him like he did the last time."Off you go, let me discuss with your adoptive parents" the director said with a smile and Alexander n

Few years agoThe sky was clear and seemed it like a nice day until it wasn't. Kids giggles and scream could be heard from the public playground donated to the orphanage. The twin brothers sat on the swing, both lazily move it. They were around fourteen, one of the oldest kids in the orphanage. "You want to join them?" Young Adam asked breaking the comfortable silence between the brothers. He nodded to the group of older kids playing soccer at the other end of the playground."No" young Alexander responded immediately. "Don't lie, you have been watching them for quiet some time" Adam insisted."True, I will love to join them but they are just jerks, I wonder if their brain get smaller the older they get" Alexander said innocently, causing Adam to chuckle. Adam's chuckle got the attention of the boys playing soccer. They halted their game and walked towards the twins. "What are you laughing at?" One of the four boys asked Adam who ignored them like they didn't exist and stared at

The world stopped for a minute for Hermia as Adam stood before her new husband, Mike. She hadn't told him about Adam or that she had meeting with someone that evening. Adam looked at Mike from his gelled hair to his shining brown dress shoe and smirked. This is who she left my brother for, he thought, with that he left. His presence lingered as he was gone. Mike turned to his wife and was speechless. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. "It's not what you think" Hermia abruptly stated "Then what is it?" He asked, suddenly finding his voice back Hermia returned his question with silence. "Let me tell you how this look like, it looks like you are cheating on me with your ex-husband after you found out that he wasn't actually poor" "That's not how it is, I won't leave you for that bastard, that wasn't even Xander that's Adam. I don't know the reason why he looks so much like Xander" Hermia defended. "It doesn't matter if it's Xander or Adam, I thought you've mov
