“Thank you and thank you so much for coming.” Lady Vilma happily said to the guests who were giving her an expensive gift.

The Beiber family is having their foundation ceremony, and everyone is invited, even the company employees. But on the other corner, Dion, who was married to a Beiber heiress couldn’t get enough of seeing how rich people celebrates their foundation with a lavish party for he grew up from the opposite status.

“Dion, what are you just standing out there? Why can’t you do something? Don’t just stand there!” Dion was interrupted by his brother-in-law, George.

He just looked at George and nodded. He left his place to find another place to hide from him. Georgina saw and followed him. She always pities Dion, because her family always treated him as a trash after their grandfather died. And before Dion decided to help the waiters, Georgina was fast to grab his arm away from the crowd.

“Georgina, what are you doing?” He was surprised.

“Nothing, just enjoying the party?” she smiled.

Dion just chuckled and sighed. Looking at his wife, Georgina’s attitude is too far from her family. The rest of her family are all greedy while she is humble.

“I know brother did tell you something. Just ignore him. He always does that.” she scoffed, making him smile a little.

Before Dion has to say something. Both were thrilled and stopped when someone called him.

“Who’s that?” she asked him.

Dion looked at the screen and saw the caller was not on his contact list. He shrugged his shoulder and excused himself from his wife. 

“Hello?”  he answered the call.

“Yes, hello. Are you Dion Brown and how are you related with Olga Brown?” a woman asked him from the other line.

Dion can’t stop being worried. This was the first time an unknown caller called him.

“Yes, she’s my mother. Why? Is there something wrong?” he asked.

Georgina was alerted when she heard their mom’s name being mentioned.

“Your mother was in an accident. And you need to pay $75,000 for the surgery. We can’t start the surgery if you don’t pay first.” the woman said.

Dion believed that the caller was from the hospital. He was shocked and stunned for a moment. Georgina looked at him with a worried look.

“Dionn...” she called him.

Dionn ignored her.

“Okay! Okay! What hospital are you calling from? I’ll be there. Just please save her!” Dion pleaded and ended the call after.

Georgina can’t stop being confused while watching him. He looks devastated and worried while calling his contacts on his phone. He keeps on cussing and cursing. He doesn’t want to lose Olga, for she was the one who adopted and treated him like her own son.

“Damn it! Please, I am going to pay you as soon as possible!” she even heard him saying.

Georgina already knew something was wrong. She kept on asking him what happened, but he was so occupied with contacting people. Good thing, the music is too loud, and the guests are very busy minding their business. He doesn’t know anyone else until his eyes spotted Lady Vilma. He hurriedly walked toward her not mind the people he was bumping with. 

“Ouch! Hey!” they complained.

“I am sorry!” and he keeps on apologizing.

Lady Vilma and the other Beibers were shocked. While his wife runs to follow him.

“Dion? What the heck are you doing?” Lady Vilma silently asked him but she’s mad.

Dion took a deep breath and stood firmly in front of Lady Vilma. He knows this is going to be embarrassing, but he has no choice. He has no other person to depend on right now.

“Lady Vilma, can you please lend me $75,000. I am going to pay you back.” Dion desperately said.

The guests and the Beibers were all shocked. Even his wife. Lady Vilma just took a deep breath and went closer to him. She doesn’t want herself and her family to get embarrassed, especially since most of the guests are wealthy people.

“Let’s go inside my office.” Lady Vilma seriously told him.

Dion already knows that she was mad, but he doesn’t care. George huffed and shook his head while looking disappointedly at him.

“My dear guests, my family and I need to talk about some family matters for a while. Just continue the party and enjoy!” Lady Vilma announced happily and left.

The rest of the family followed him and Lady Vilma.

“Hey, Dion! Are you going to borrow money from granny to buy yourself a nice expensive tuxedo? That’s nice!” Charlotte, Georgina’s sister teased him.

Dion heard her, but he didn’t bother to mind her. Leo, Charlotte’s fiancé, laughed. Because of that, Georgina was offended and faced them.

“Can you stop talking like that at him?!” she shouted at them.

Both Charlotte and Leo snubbed her and continued walking. Georgina doesn’t get it why he was allowing them to step on him just like that. Sometimes she even got irritated. As soon as they reached the office, George closed the door and sat with his family. While Dion and Georgina are standing in front of them.

“Dion, don’t you think I can just lend you that kind of money? Knowing you are penniless! You almost ruined the party with your lame drama!” Lady Vilma yelled at him.

“I know. I am sorry. I just need it for my mom’s surgery.” He pleaded and even apologized.

They just ignored him. Dion just closed his eyes. He’s very desperate. He knew they all hated him, but he had no choice left.

“You almost get us in trouble. You are really embarrassing in the family!” Georgina’s uncle, Rio groaned.

“You are such a loser, Dion.” George added.

Dion remained silent. He needs to be silent if he really wants Lady Vilma to loan him the money. He needs to swallow his pride like he always does.

“I just can’t believe my sister still wants a poor man like you? I mean, you can’t even buy yourself a nice tux.” Charlotte said, rolling her eyes.

Dion just swallowed his dignity and pride. He needs to be brave and firm this time.

“See?! That's what you get for not being a wealthy person, Dion.” Leo, Charlotte’s fiancé mumbled.
