2. Humiliated

All of them laughed while Dion and Georgina were just silent. Dion was already used to their bullies toward him. And it’s not that easy for him to stay with rich people like them. But Georgina couldn’t take it anymore.

“Stop it! You were always acting immature. Dion just wants you to lend him money. Isn’t that hard for you to do? Besides, he’s part of the family!” Georgina stood up for him and defended him.

Dion was surprised that his wife can do things that he can’t do to himself. 

“Please, granny, help him.” Georgina spoke for him and even supported after defending him from them.

All of them just scoffed and rolled their eyes on her. Lady Vilma just snubs her.

“I don’t even know why your grandpa choses this lousy and poor man to marry you. He was the worst mistake we ever made in our family! I can’t loan him the money unless...” Lady Vilma smirked.

Dion looked at her. She just smirked while tapping her fingers on top of the table. He always knew that Lady Vilma always finds a good reason for an exchange. Georgina gulped.

“Unless you are going to divorce him and marry Ronaldo Winlow, and I will give him $75,000.” Lady Vilma blurted.

Georgina’s eyes got bigger and even Dion. She doesn’t want to trade him to someone like Ronaldo. He knows he is just rich, that is why they wanted her to marry him.

“Wh-at?! No! I don’t want to marry that man, granny! Come on, Dion. Let’s leave get out from here!” she told him.

Dion just looks at her softly and shakes his head.

“Stay here. I am going to leave.” He spoke.

Without letting them react, Dion hurriedly left heading to the hospital.

“That’s it! Just leave our lives!” George shouted.

 He can’t even drive slowly, because he can’t stop thinking about his mother. All he had was her.

“Nurse! Where's Olga Brown?” he hurriedly asked the nurse from the station.

The nurse pointed him toward the wards. As he entered the wards, he was stunned to see his mother already in the operation theater, and the surgery had already begun. He sighed in relief and tears formed into his eyes. The door opened and hurriedly went toward the doctor.

“Doctor! How's my mother?” he excitedly asked.

The doctor sighed in relief and smiled at him.

“You don’t have to worry about her and the bills anymore. Her bill has already been paid by a gentleman.” he said.

Dion was confused and shocked. The doctor even told him that his mom’s bill was all $25000. He never thought someone was going to help him and his mother in this situation. The doctor even showed him toward the gentleman.

“Thank you, doctor.” Dion happily thanked him.

The doctor smiled and shook his head.

“You should thank him. If not for him, your mother couldn’t survive while waiting longer.” the doctor said.

Dion just thanked him once again and headed toward the lobby. Looking at the gentleman from afar, he thought he knew him, but he couldn’t figure it out. He just took a deep breath before sitting with him.

“The doctor said you paid my mom’s bills. I don’t know how I can thank you, but you’re such an angel and our savior. Please, how can I repay you?” he nearly cried.

He knows he can’t repay the money that fast, but he managed to tell the guy he is going to pay him in full. The stranger just smiled at him and shook his head. 

“You don’t have to thank me, Dion. Besides, this is for you.” the old man said and handed him something.

Dion got confused, but slowly took what the man is giving him. He was stunned to see it was a bank account with billions of dollars. He doesn’t even know why he was giving him that. He looked at the man again, and he was surprised that he was able to recognize him.

“Wait, I know... you.” he blurted.

The man chuckled while nodding while Dion was still very shocked and surprised. He knows he’s his grandfather’s butler.

“I should be happy that you still remember me.” the man said and chuckled a bit.

Dion doesn’t know what to say. He was still confused at the moment. He doesn’t even know how they found him, and how they located and helped his mother. There are lots of questions running inside him, but he chooses just to be silent for a while.

“I’m... sorry, but how did you find me?” he asked the butler.

“Twenty years ago, your dad married your mom, but your grandfather couldn’t accept your mother. He wasn’t happy with his decision and that was why he disowned your dad.” he said.

Dion scoffed. He knows about that.

“Why are you telling me this?” he asked.

The butler just took a deep breath and sighed.

“I know it was shocking, but now that your grandfather is old, and your parents are dead. Your grandfather wants you to have the entire inheritance, Dion. Besides, you’re the only family left he has.” butler added.

His world stopped for a moment. He wouldn’t believe it. He’s going to be rich in just a snap of his finger. He knew that his dad’s family was rich but also just like Lady Vilma.

“I know what you’ve been through with your in-laws, son. But you should know that the Scotts, your real family, the Scott company is one of the wealthiest in the country.” butler said.

He was stunned for a moment hearing that his family is very rich just like that.

“Much bigger and richer compared to the Beibers, Lopez, and the Winlows, even if you’re going to combine them. Still, the Scotts are the wealthiest. In this case, you can beat your in-laws.” he said.

Dion already knows what he was trying to tell him. He just took a deep breath and sighed.

“I know why you’re here. You want me to go home and take the inheritance.” he said and huffed.
