Jasper stared at Emma, his expression filled with anger. “Your family has spent so much of my money over the past few years, yet you still have the audacity to ask me for a ‘loss of youth’ f*e?”

Emma's hand remained pressed against her burning cheek.

“If we're going to calculate everything,” Jasper continued coldly, “ How much money have I spent on your family over the years? Hundreds of thousands? No. Millions. And after all that, you still expect me to compensate you for your youth?”

He scoffed. “Besides, wasn't my youth valuable too? Or was I supposed to spend mine serving your entire family while you stood there counting yours?”

Emma's lips trembled. She had never seen Jasper this angry. The Jasper she knew almost never lost his temper with her. Even when she mistreated him, he would swallow his anger and apologize first. But today, it was as though that man had completely disappeared. Emma opened her mouth, but no words came out.

Ryan's face turned red with rage. “How dare you slap my sister!” He stepped forward, clenching his fists. He looked ready to teach Jasper a lesson.

Emma suddenly stopped him. “Ryan, just stop. Leave him”.

It was obvious now. He wasn't going to give them a single cent. If Ryan attacked him, things would only become worse. Jasper was already furious. Beating him would only make him even more angry.

Emma slowly lowered her hand from her cheek. “If you are going to be this heartless, then so be it.”

She forced a cold smile. “It's actually perfect. Now I have every reason to go find Michael Harrington.”

Michael Harrington was a well-known second-generation heir. Whenever Jasper had issues with Emma, she would threaten to leave him for Mike.

“He's been chasing me for years. I didn't answer because almost everyone knows about us and I didn't want to be the bad person. Since you clearly don't care about me anymore, I will go to someone who does.”

“Ohhh, I love that, please go!”.

Now, Emma was totally angry as she turned around and walked away. Ryan followed her.

Jasper watched them leave. He merely scoffed, because he knew Micheal wasn't a good guy.

He turned and walked out of the restaurant as well. Once outside, Jasper pulled out his phone and called his mother.

The moment she answered, he smiled. “Mom, I have two pieces of good news for you.”

His mother's tired voice came through the phone. “Good news? What happened?”

“The first one is that I won the lottery.”

There was silence. Then his mother laughed softly. “You won the lottery? How much?”. She knew Jasper wasn't type that okay lottery, and if he won, she was expecting some few thousand of dollars.

Jasper announced. “Ten million dollars.”

There was a total silence for some moment before his mother shirked out. “What...? Ten million dollars”

“Yes mom”.

Jasper could hear her breathing become unsteady.

“I already have the money,” he continued. “I'm transferring some of it to you right now. Take Dad to the best hospital you can find. Don't worry about the cost anymore. His treatment will be taken care of.”

His mother's breathing suddenly became ragged as tears began streaming down her face.

“Finally...” she whispered through her tears. She covered her mouth, sobbing. For years, she had watched him work himself to exhaustion and had taken several part-time jobs to help cover his father's medical expenses.

There were nights when she barely slept, rushing from one job to another until her feet were swollen and her body ached. She often skipped meals just to save a little more money, she nearly even got admitted herself.

“This… is just unbelievable”. She cried for two minutes straight.

After a moment, she wiped her tears. “You said there were two pieces of good news. What's the second one?”

Jasper smiled. “I broke up with Emma.”

His mother became quiet. “Wait? Really, you broke up”

“Yes.”

She was shocked, she knew how Jasper loved her so much, just some weeks ago, he would do anything for her, but he broke up?

“I'll admit I never really liked that girl,” his mother said carefully. “But I never wanted my feelings toward her to affect your relationship.”

“Mom, you were right.” Jasper stated, . “I was the one who wanted the breakup. Emma isn't the woman I thought she was. She's nothing but a shameless gold digger.”

His mother sighed.

“Sorry, I should have listened to you all this while”. Jasper apologized.

After finishing their conversation, Jasper reminded his mother not to tell anyone about his lottery winnings. He didn't want the news spreading before he had properly arranged his finances.

“I understand,” his mother assured him. “I will come and see you soon,” Jasper said before hanging up.

After putting his phone away, he returned home. The moment he stepped inside, Jasper sat down and began thinking seriously about what to do with the money. Simply leaving ten million dollars sitting in a bank account was obviously not an option.

He had been incredibly fortunate to skip the grueling process of accumulating his initial capital. Now that he had the capital, he needed to make it work for him.

The goal wasn't simply to spend the money. It was to make the money generate more money through compound growth.

Of course, he would also buy a few things to improve his quality of life. Magnanimous house and his dream car.

But if he kept spending without generating additional income, even ten million dollars would eventually shrink. Jasper leaned back and began recalling the future he had already lived through.

There were several opportunities he could take advantage of. After thinking for a while, an idea finally came to him.

Gold futures.

The international gold market was about to enter a massive upward trend. Jasper remembered how prices had surged during that period, creating enormous opportunities for anyone who had enough capital and the courage to enter early.

He didn't need to gamble blindly. He already knew what was coming. He would make profit, and kept increasing the money

With his decision made, Jasper immediately prepared to act.

The following day, he arrived at Apex Capital Brokerage, one of the most reputable financial firms in the city.

He walked through the entrance calmly. But the moment he stepped inside, his footsteps suddenly stopped, and gasped as he saw someone!.

She could felt the aura coming from him. “You have changed so much,” she said, her eyes moving over him curiously. “And this suit… You look completely different. You seem really wealthy now.”Jasper chuckled. “It’s nothing special. Just pure luck.”Then she laughed it off.“By the way, thank you so much for helping me back there. Seriously. Who knows what might have happened if you hadn't shown up?, what can I do to repay you”Jasper waved his hand dismissively. “It was nothing. But if you really want to repay me, there
