Chapter 2: Prodigal System

Zavier stood in front of the mirror, a foolish smile on his face as he looked at the familiar face that he hadn’t seen in a long time.

He was born handsome. Out of ten, he was shameless to give himself eight points. Although he couldn’t match with Valen, but he had the kind of looks that always make girls attracted to him.

He had used his face as a tool to have several licking dogs though he had never bothered to make one his girlfriend. His standards were very high. If he wanted to find someone to marry, she should be worth it.

[Gene potion: a futuristic potion which when used can help upgrade the individual’s statistics. It can only be used by the host and cannot be given to others. If given to others, the potion will cease to exist.]

After what seems like a billion years, the system finally remembered Zavier. At this moment, Zavier who had gone through several stages of shock, disbelief and then acceptance was no longer as baffled as he was when the system forcefully bind itself to him.

He was a reborn person and it would make sense if there was a cause for that. What would be surprising to ger a golden finger?

He wasn’t ignorant and thanks to Pearl, he was interested in reading novels especially with golden fingers. Every time he read such a novel, he would grumble and lament to why he wasn’t like the main protagonists with such powers.

As long as it was that, he could manage. If he wasn’t mistaken, he should be having several millions in his account, he had been saving to start that business that nearly bankrupted him.

It was better squandering that money than getting scammed by villains.

Zavier didn’t panic much when he heard that. It would be suspicious if he got something for nothing. things that one earns through hard work were quite sweet to savor.

He didn’t squander enough money in his previous life although he had always paraded himself as useless. There were so many things that he would like to buy and own. Now given the chance, he wouldn’t even flinch when squandering. His life was in danger. So, what if he spends a little?

Zavier asked a few more questions and grasped the system’s intentions and none of them were that bad. As long as he completes his missions, then he wouldn’t need to worry about anything.

With all that in mind, Zavier didn’t waste time but summoned the profile status to check his lifespan. He was still worried about that.

In this life, he wanted to live up to old age if allowed. He didn’t want to die so young and miserably.
