Chapter 6: Wonder Fair Amusement Park

“Well, well, well! What made the man call this early?” Zavier answered teasingly, his lip curved upward in a smile as he put on the t-shirt to pair up with the jeans he had worn.

[Hehe, I am just curious to see if your conscience hurt?] Sebastian’s accusatory voice rang in his ears and Zavier chuckled softly wondering what was going on.

“What did I do this time? I shouldn’t have forgotten an appointment, right?” Zavier asked, combing through his memories.

[Umph! I am watching Pearl’s show. How come you go and play with her alone but don’t remember your brothers?]

When that was said, Zavier broke out into a hearty laughter. He didn’t think that the matter would be this one. If it was this, then it was easily solvable.

“Hehe, do you even know where I want to take her?”

[I don’t care. Send me the location. I will bring others there. the more, the merrier. We can’t let the little sister feel wronged.]

Zavier felt warm as he listened to Sebastian supporting him without even asking why he was acting differently like that. After all, Sebastian being his best friend knew him pretty well. In fact, he used to urge him to treat Pearl well but how could he do so when his heart was clogged?

“Sebastian,” he softly called the other.

[You ….. don’t go sentimental on me. Anyway, just tell me where we are meeting. Pearl is already done.]

Zavier was surprised to hear that and let out a chuckle before uttering the answer, “Wonder Fair.”

[What? You are not playing tricks with me, right? That’s an amusement park. You know that, right?]

Zavier chuckled helplessly when he heard that. It was because of this reason that he didn’t call Sebastian and others. For young men and women their age to go to an amusement park to play, it sounded quite childish. But who was to blame?

When he was at the age of enjoying himself there, he couldn’t go but now that he was given a chance to spend the one hundred thousand on something that he had always wanted to do. He wanted to do so but if he were to invite his friends, he didn’t know if they would want to join in the fun. Who knew that Sebastian would call him first?

“You heard me, friend. We are going there. If you coming then let’s meet there in less than two hours. I want to enjoy myself!” with a chuckle, he ended the call, not giving Sebastian a chance to roast him.

After finishing dressing up, he checked his wallet and made sure that his cards and ID were there. After doing so, he put the wallet in his pocket before adding the phone in the other pocket. Once done, he left the bedroom and headed towards the elevator.

He planned to go to the underground garage to pick a car.

Pearl was appearing on a show that didn’t mind splurging. He needed to look the part. With that in mind, he knew which car to pick.

When he got to the garage, he looked at the numerous cars neatly parked and sighed with emotion. Although not all of them were his, his weren’t that bad as well.

His gaze lingered slightly at the Aston Martin Valkyrie; Valen recently purchased but only drive for a few times.

That car cost a lot of money that he couldn’t even spare. It made him resent Valen once again. after all, he was way better than him in many ways. Thankfully, although he wasn’t at Rockwell Chenggong’s level yet, he wasn’t far behind.

Zavier walked towards the part of the garage where his car collection was.

Due to limited funds, Zavier only owned three cars which nearly exhausted his savings. Although he didn’t own a Lamborghini, he owned a Bugatti Chiron which he purchased around thirty million dollars, four months ago after saving his allowance, and dividends for over a year.

Comparing his Bugatti to that Valkyrie though, he felt like an ant. After all, that car was priced over four hundred million. Just thinking about how proud he was when he bought his Bugatti, Zavier was starting to understand why he went crazy in his previous life.

Such comparison was very dangerous.

‘Let us stop comparing. I think that I might end up as the greatest villain if this happen!’ he calmed his unsettled heart lest it continues to feel reluctant.

Without giving that Valkyrie a second look, he unlocked his Bugatti and moments later, the car was speeding away from the garage, destination, Wonder Fair Amusement Park.

Rockwell Group Holdings HQ

Sitting behind a huge mahogany desk was an expressionless man with exquisite features. He had a pair of beautiful eyes which looked very sharp and deep. It made the man looking at him, feel as if he was standing on ants and could be gnawed at any time.

The man was staring at the tablet’s screen and on the screen a young girl was busy talking to the audience, laughing and looking very cheerful. And her mouth was only spilling about her good brother. It made the man’s eyes darken as he tapped the desk, his mood unreadable but for the other man standing, he felt his back drenching in sweat.

Others might not know but as someone who had been that man’s secretary for years, how could he not know what his boss was currently thinking?

After the man watched for a while, he raised his head to look at his secretary and asked, “secretary Henry. Have you found out where Pearl is going?”

Henry, the secretary pushed the glasses on his nose bridge as he answered, “Yes. It is said that she would be meeting with the fourth master at the Wonder Fair amusement park. Do you want me to stop them from meeting?”

The man after hearing that didn’t show much reaction but when looking at his eyes, one would see a glint of interest in them. The man tapped his fingers on the desk without answering but after hearing the cheerful voice of the girl on the screen he let out a long sigh and said, “there is no need. Just make sure that there is enough security lest anything happens.”

When Secretary Henry heard that, he nodded in agreement and hurriedly took his tablet before excusing himself.

After he left, the man suddenly let out a chuckle as he spoke in amusement, “I wonder what new tricks Zavier is up to this time!” though a dangerous glint flickered in his eyes for a moment.

And this man was none other the person Zavier both envy and fear, his oldest brother, Valen, the man currently controlling the Rockwell family business and someone Zavier couldn’t afford to offend.

Zavier had no idea that he had entered his brother’s radar. He drove cheerfully, humming a tune and the advantage of driving a sports car is no one usually bothers to cause trouble. A single scratch meant the other party spending thousands or millions. Who wouldn’t want to eat such a loss?

With no one causing trouble, it took him one hour and thirty minutes until he reached the parking lot. As his blue car glided into the parking lot, he couldn’t help but notice the camera men and Pearl who was anxiously looking around. However, upon seeing his car, the little girl’s eyes lit up like a bulb.

Her reaction was faithfully captured by the cameras and the viewers also saw it.

[Oh! The brother is here.]

[Damn! I just saw a fancy Bugatti. Don’t tell me that belongs to the brother?]

[Hehe, she drives fancy cars herself. Should her brother drive trash?]

[Let’s go and see the brother. He should be handsome, right?]

[Taking dips on him.]

[Already coming after someone you haven’t seen?]

[Who said I haven’t seen him?]

The barrage was noisy and the director of the show was smiling as he watched how Pearl’s room was bringing a lot of heat without her doing much.

Seeing the interest in the brother, the director didn’t hesitate but instructed the crew with Pearl. “Give the brother more shots!”

And both siblings had no clue to that.

When Pearl saw her brother’s car she excitedly said as she looked at the camera, “my brother is here!” and happily skipped towards the car, eager to see him.

A few moments later, Pearl was closer and the door to the Bugatti opened and a tall, handsome young emerged from the car.

The screen froze and the director anxiously asked the operations team what was going on but the response was quite funny.

"It’s not frozen. It’s the viewers who aren’t typing anything,” as soon as he said that, the comments started flooding in and it was insane.

[Mama Mia. My mama just walked in on me licking the screen and now I am doomed.]

[Damn! If I had such a brother, I wouldn’t want to get out his sight.]

[Whose handsome man is this? Get me his information in five minutes.]

The craziness towards Zavier was so much that in just a few minutes, he made it on the trending search with several hashtags
