Scarlett woke up very early, she did not want to miss her transport.

The hover bus would only stay at the station for two minutes whether it was early or not.

This was Deep D where she and her family had lived since she was born. Although is sounded cool, it actually meant Deep Dump, it was a name given to them by the fancy people living up in the sky castle.

The NG city was a hovering large piece of land. The expansion had gone pretty far throughout the years. You could never see the end even by standing at the middle.

NG city had many cities within. As the powerful families couldn't live together, they formed their cities and marked it as their territory. Surprisingly, it was a peaceful separation with the government not doing much. Still these family had to pay taxes. Taxes that could milk anyone.

So over the years, some families were forced out their territory as they couldn't meet up.

There were academies in different cities, Deep D also had academies but it was Deep D after all. The first choice of any teenager was to go to Star Streak Academy (SSA) in the Capital.

They had low acceptance rate but still, application kept piling up each year. They had very high standards and only the best of the best was allowed admission.

All the powerful families had at least one of the child sent to SSA.

They rarely ever admitted kids from Deep D into the school, with an average amount of 2 to 5 each year.

Scarlett was admitted last semester with the passing grade of SS. Her dad managed the tuition fee for a year and sending her allowance every month. Now she was all alone and after this semester, she had to pay the tuition fee again, her feeding and that of five people, souls to be precise.

The hover bus dropped her at the gate, she stared at the big golden gates and sighed. Her dad always dropped her off but now she was doing it herself. The thought left her with nothing but sadness she then felt someone pat her head. Before she could throw out a kick she heard Scott's voice.

"Its okay I'll drop you off, in lo, I'm going to school with you"

"What the..." she looked around and saw people staring so she stopped. She walked to the guard standing at the gate.

"Status?" the guard asked. Scarlett wasn't new to this she answered immediately.

"Student" she brought out her card and showed it before the guard could ask.

The guard collected the card to verify. He inserted the card in the device next to him. The process only took few seconds before Scarlett's card was handed to her.

She was then allowed entrance into the academy and went to the teleportation circle.

Students were allowed free teleportation in school so scarlet did not have to worry about that when she teleported to her room. Scott was still clinging to her making her frustrated.

Scarlett quickly got into her uniform and Scott went back to her mind space, it was 8:13am and the first class was by 9 o'clock. Classes usually started at 8 o'clock sharp but since today was the first day, they were given an hour to rest.

The uniform was milk in color with dark blue strips on the sleeves and pants the black shoes completed the look. The uniform also had the emblem of the academy on the right side of shirt and pants.

Scarlett ran out the room without even checking herself in the mirror. She ran towards the teleportation circle in the hallway only to see a long line of people. The teleportation circles in school were smaller than regular ones so it could only teleport five people at once.

The class room was just 1500m away so she decided to run. With her improved stats it was a piece of cake.

It took only a few minutes for Scarlett to reach class, that too without breaking a sweat.

When she entered, she heard gasp of surprise, some expressions were filled with shock making her a bit self conscious.

Even her friend Maple had her mouth hung open when she came to sit.

"What's wrong, is there something on my face?" Scarlett whispered.

Maple snapped out of her stupor and whispered back.

"What happened to you after the accident"

"Nothing" Scarlett was definitely not going to tell her about having ghosts inside her head.

"Are you sure, you look different" Maple suspiciously eyed Scarlett.

"Good different or bad different?" Scarlett became a bit nervous, like other girls she too cared about her appearance.

"You look prettier, like very pretty" after Maple said that, Scarlett turned to look at her classmates, some even waved with a creepy smile on their faces.

"Can I borrow your mirror?"

"Sure" Maple scrambled through her bag for the mirror and passed it to Scarlett.

Staring at her reflection, she was shocked too. Her face looked more pronounced, she admired herself a bit before returning the mirror.

"I heard what happened to your family, I tried calling but it didn't go through" Maple said softly.

"Yeah, that was me, I just wanted to be alone sorry" Scarlett apologized with a sigh. She didn't mean to block off Maple infact she knew Maple cared about her very much. But that too much care was what made her feel indebted.

Maple was already from a powerful family so she had nothing to offer her.

"You don't have to apologize I..." Maple was interrupted by the sudden silence in the classroom.

Scarlett turned towards the door only to see Lucy and her followers staring at her with shocked expressions. Lucy's shock soon turned into a frown as she made her way to Scarlett.

"Hello Scar, for someone who just lost her family you look pretty good" her words made Scarlett blow a fuse, but before she could reply, Angelica appeared.

"Let me take charge" she said. It wasn't exactly a request but Scarlett complied anyway, she felt she was too angry to take action as she might regret it.

Scarlett switched control with Angelica without going to her mind space. Her soul appeared where Angelica stood before, it was the first time she appeared outside her body, it felt kind of strange.

Maple felt Scarlett's aura change as she stood up but ignored it.

"Why, is it a crime to look better than you?"

Lucy was caught off guard because Scarlett was not that rude and would always keep a low profile.

"Oh, so your tongue became sharper after becoming a little pretty?" she taunted.

"Its okay I guess, at least I don't look like a pig suffering from high blood pressure" Scarlett said back making the class unable to hold their laughter.

"How dare you" Lucy raged, she was about to continue when the teacher walked in.

As the other manacores entered the pod, each released a hue that was absorbed by the white core.Thirty minutes later, the white core was brought out again, still retaining its color even after absorbing all those differen

"White? How is that possible?""I had them redo the test a couple of times but it kept giving the same results," the assistant said."A white mana core? It sounds unbelievable, the highest so far is gold and Aviva is the only one we have captured with a golden core, how can there be white all of a sudden" the young man lost his composure. While the world was still in the dark about mana core and other related subjects, he had been studying them for years."I was shocked as well, but isn't this a good thing? We have someone stronger than Aviva ever was" the assistant said."Do not say that...Aviva had

She told her everything Alan told her while removing a lot of things though and inputting hers just to be safe."How do you even know all of that?" Maple eyed her suspiciously."Well actually..." Scarlett tried to explain but she was interrupted by Maple."Don't tell if you don't want to. I can't take it when you lie to me" Maple sighed with a dejected look. Ajax wasn't the only reason she was stressed, she had no idea what Scarlett must be going through but she wasn't telling her about it.Seeing the atmosphere becoming awkward she decided to change the topic."Where are your ghost frien

Losing her hard earn levels was a nightmare, not because she was afraid to fight more creatures but because she had no time. • Exposed

Maple stood outside Scarlett's room, trying to comprehend what she was seeing."You guys?" she asked confused. When Scarlett started letting out curses, she knew something was up. "Scarlett?""You can see us?" Scott asked shocked. Being seen in SSO was rotatably different from being seen in real life and they all knew that. In fact, Maple just did them a favor by discovering them in the room, imagine they suddenly appeared in the class like they normally did, the outcome would be disastrous."What kind of question is that?" Maple frowned. "Scarlett?""I'm sorry for hiding it from you" Scarlett sighed, but the others had a change in expression."What are you doing Scarlett?" Bruce asked with a serious expression."What? I have to tell her about you guys at least.
