School was to start the next day so after eating, she went back to her room to prepare her things.

Done with that she laid on her bed and decided to check out her new system.

"System menu" she called out and the system screen appeared in front of her.

She clicked on quests only to see letters in red making her sit up.

Under it, the first option,which was daily quests was written in red.

She then clicked on daily quests.

[Reward: +5 stamina, +10 exp]

[Punishment: -5 Stamina]

Scarlett eyes opened wide on seeing the quest. 'It's almost eight o'clock how the hell am I supposed to complete this quest' she thought speechless at the thoughtlessness of the system.

"System, why was there no notification?" Scarlett inquired.

[Notification is turned off host]

"Well turn it back on"

[Yes host]

Scarlett waited a bit and a notification sounded.

[Host has 4 hours remaining to complete daily quests]

Scarlett held in her urge to facepalm and just gave a resigned sigh. What a system she had gotten, well at least it was better than non.

She put the thought aside and decided to change from her pajamas into better clothes for running. She had no sport suit so she had to improvise. Just before she stepped out, Scott appeared.

"Where are you going" he asked with his head tilted to the right.

"Running" Scarlett gave a one word reply. She hated conversing with him the most. Sometimes his words were so unresonable that one might wonder if he had the ability to think.

If not for the others, Scarlett would have thought one becomes stupid after becoming a soul.

It's been a while since she started her jog. She stopped for bit and continued, she felt someone following her and turned, what she saw stupefied her.

Scott stood panting with his right hand stretched towards her.

"Why are you so fast" he panted.

Scarlett stared at Scott unsure of what to say. Her thoughts were that he went back to the mind space, she had no idea he was running after her.

"What are you doing?" she asked

"What?"

"Why were you running after me?" Scarlett asked again stressing every word. The people passing gave her strange look as they could not see Scott.

"I want to be in shape" Scott's reply made Scarlett groan in frustration.

"You're a soul, no one can see you" Scarlett tried to explain.

"So?" Scott's expression showed that he was genuinely confused, making Scarlett even more frustrated.

"Forget it, try to keep up or go back to the mind space" Scarlett continued her running and directly ignored him.

Scarlett stopped after hearing the notification. She turned back and headed home.

It was almost ten o'clock when she got back. She was hungry after the run but decided to sleep empty.

After taking a shower she changed back into her pajamas preparing to sleep on an empty stomach when the five suddenly appeared.

"We're hungry" Scott and Angelica both said.

"Jinx" Scott poked Angelica but the latter ignored him.

"You eat?" Scarlett almost shouted, feeding herself already cost a lot. Feeding all five of them, her account would dry up in a week.

"We can hear your thoughts you know" Angelica said with her arms folded.

Remembering that she had lost her privacy Scarlett smiled wryly. She did not like this one bit but she was without a choice.

"We won't be freeloaders we can help when you need us" Druce said.

"Fine" Scarlett conceded

"Which one of you can cook?" her question received two hands raised, Scott and Aviva. Scarlett didn't have the think it twice, there was no way she would allow Scott take over her body so she chose Aviva.

Scarlett sent her consciousness to her mind space and found the other waiting for her.

"System how can I permit others to use my body" Scarlett inquired from the system.

[As long as host wills it the control can be shifted to any soul]

Scarlett followed the system's instruction and shifted control to Aviva.

After Aviva took control, she went down stairs to the kitchen.

"Scanning available resources" a blue ring appeared in Aviva's (Scarlett's body) pupil.

"Scan complete, there are enough ingredients to make pancakes" Aviva said in her monotone voice.

Scarlett witness the whole thing surprised. She always felt Aviva was weird but what she just witnessed took weird to a whole new level. Now she was more curious about her past.

Aviva brought out the ingredients measuring everything accurately before she started.

From the mixing to the frying everything was just perfect. Each pancake was exactly the same size, texture and color.

Scarlett took back control after Aviva was done. Aviva and the others appeared and started eating. Even Scarlett could not resist the allure of a perfectly made pancake so she ate with them. After cleaning she returned to her room while the others returned to her mind space.

She decided to assign her stats before going to bed.
