Reincarnation Gone Wrong

"Oh yeah I was right all along I'm alive again" a voice suddenly sounded in Scarlett's mind space.

Surprised, Scarlett raised her head to see who it was but what she saw was a ghost dancing in slow motion. It was a male ghost that looked pretty young and maybe because of his funny dancing, she did not even feel scared.

"Who are you and how did you come inside me" Scarlett failed to notice that her question was a bit weird but the ghost caught it and gave her a weird expression.

"Wow how can a young girl like you say that with a straight face even I would feel embarrassed" the ghost clicked his tongue and shook his head.

Scarlett's lips twitched, she was confused what exactly did she say that was embarrassing.

"Uh you guys are so disgusting, anyway why are you here?" another ghost appeared startling Scarlett and the first ghost.

"I should be asking you that" the first ghost said with a raised brow and folded arms.

Scarlett was getting confused, three more ghosts appeared and she wondered how they were able to access her mind space in the first place. Something was wrong somewhere there was no way her mind space was that vulnerable to allow the intrusion of other.

Were they really ghosts or was there something else going on?

She became paranoid after the accident, it was one of the scars it left on her. In a single day she became an orphan loosing her parents and her little brother how she survived was a mystery to her but she was never the same afterwards.

The thought of facing the world alone left her in despair, she locked herself in her mind space and even though she knew she couldn't hide forever, it was the best option she could think off.

The five ghost watched on as Scarlett thought with her hand holding her chin.

"Um are you okay?" the first ghost broke the silence that way lingering.

Scarlett got herself back and shook her head.

"Yeah I'm fine, just a question, are you ghosts?" the five gave her a weird.

"No we're not ghosts we're reincarnated ghost" at the first ghost's reply Scarlett's mouth hung open and not just her all the other ghosts had weird look on their faces.

"What's the difference?" Scarlett asked the question that was in their minds.

"..."

Scarlett nearly facepalmed at the ghost, she decided to ignore him but he spoke again.

"My name is Scott" after he introduced himself the others followed. He looked 18 or 19 with short black hair

"I'm Angelica" the second said. She looked 22 and had a long brown wavy hair reaching half way down her back.

"Mary" the third said. She looked 21 or 22 with blonde hair and glasses.

"Druce" the fourth introduced. He looked to be in his last 20s and hard dark hair like Scott but longer.

"Aviva" the fifth said with a monotonic tone. She looked 18 with long dark hair and big eyes, bigger than usual.

"Scarlett" Scarlett introduced herself though she didn't feel comfortable talking to others in her mind space she also felt conscious of her hair colour which was red but since they didn't comment she left it at that.

"Why are you in your mind space anyway?" Angelica asked and the others turned to Scarlett looking curious as well.

"I'm mourning" Scarlett explained sadly.

"Tch you're dead what's the big deal there's no need to mourn yourself, or don't tell me you such a narcissist?"

"Are you just trying to be funny or are you just plain stupid?" Angelica questioned Scott.

"You're stupid" Scott fired back and then they started quarreling while Scarlett slipped away moving to the other 'reincarnated ghosts'

"How do you know you've been reincarnated and how does this reincarnation work?" Scarlett asked Mary, she carried a nerdy vibe with the glasses on her face, maybe she died with them Scarlett thought.

"Well in what I've read in light novels, when a soul is reincarnated it is either in it's original body traveling back in time or in a completely knew body where a soul no longer resides leaving just its memories"

"Well if what you're saying is true then why have you all been reincarnated inside an already occupied body and why together?" Scarlett curiously asked.

"That I cannot answer" Mary shook her head.

Scarlett thought hard but couldn't figure out anything. Just then she heard a beep. They all heard it and turned in the direction of the sound.

A blue translucent screen appeared in midair letters appeared on the screen which was being read out by a robotic voice.
