Aleric noticed the striking resemblance between the woman and Morgana, he figured the woman to be Morgana's mother. 

"What madness are you suggesting?" Enzo spoke in a calm frightening voice.

"Enzo my friend, we all want what is best for our children. I know you would make the same decision if you were in my shoes." Lord Brom said. He is the father of Morgana, and he is also a powerful ice mage. Morgana was betrothed to Aleric after she was born and then it felt like a good plan to make the Brom family more powerful. Lord Brom knew how strong the Xalvador family is, so he wanted to share in that power by creating a bond with them through marriage. But after it was discovered that Aleric has no talent, they started regretting their decision. They all knew that having no talent makes one worse than a slave, so they knew that having their child marry Aleric would lead to her ultimate demise. While they were thinking of how to break off the engagement, Morgana awoke very rare ice magic. There are a lot of ice mages but Morgana awoke the rarest, she has what is called absolute freeze, which means she can freeze just about anything. Her hair turned white as a result of the class she awakened and having such a rare talent ending up with a talentless boy left a bad taste on the lips of the Brom family.

Aleric kept his attention on Morgana while ignoring the discussions of his parents and their visitor. Morgana couldn't bear to look at him because never had anyone looked at her the way Aleric was looking at her. Aleric was interested in her because of the chills he has been getting from her. Aleric could feel the coldness in her mana core, it was like a beast threatening to freeze the whole world if let loose. Aleric couldn't stop himself from wanting to conquer the beast and have it by his side. While Aleric was busy studying Morgana, Tatia was staring at Him.

"I suppose the arrangement was made when we were only a but a child." Aleric spoke and the adult wondered if Aleric is considered grown up now, he is still but a child.

"Yes, you were just a baby when I made the arrangement with my friend Brom, seems like I should've chosen my friends wisely." Enzo was angry about the whole issue but he couldn't dent what Brom was saying. If he had a daughter, he wouldn't want the daughter to marry someone as talentless as Aleric, but that would be a different case if the person is a friend. The Brom family was among his plan to make Aleric safe.

"Alright, since the arrangement was made by you adults I don't see the reason why we have to be here when you break off the engagement."

"What do you mean by that." Morgana's mother the one that has the most hatred for Aleric spoke up.

"Since the arrangement was first made for the desires of the adults, and now it's been dissolved for the same desires of the adult masked by the pale interest of the children. Since that happens to be the case I don't see no reasons for us the children to be here." Lady Brienne wondered when Aleric became so outspoken. She felt like her sweet boy has grown up behind her back.

"So what are you suggesting?" Brom couldn't stop himself from speaking politely to you boy before him.

Aleric smiled and Morgana thought the smile could charm any living being. "I suggest we leave you adults and then go do what children do best."

"Which is?" Morgana was the one to speak for the first time.

"Play, my lady." Morgana felt her cold heart pounding against her ribcage and she knew today wouldn't be the last day she would spend with the boy. Morgana turned to her parents and they gave her permission so she stood up and left with Aleric and Tatia. Aleric grabbed Tatia by the hand and walked away with her while Morgana followed behind. This simple gesture from Aleric made Tatia smile warmly, it was a way for Aleric to remind her that she is someone close to his heart.

"Now that we are outside, what do you plan on doing?" Morgana asked as they were standing in the backyard of the castle.

"I hear you have the absolute freeze class?" Morgana nodded "Do you mind showing me?" Aleric was curious about it. Morgana thought for a while but obliged. She sprayed her arms and her surrounding started to freeze up. Aleric and Tatia moved back in order not to get their feet frozen.

"Amazing." Aleric muttered

"This is the best I can do for now." It wasn't much, just a few feet of the ground was covered but Aleric thought it was enough to defend against attackers.

"That's great."

"Truly great." Even Tatia thought it was wonderful. 

Morgana blushed from receiving praises from people her age. Because of her noble background, she doesn't have friends and the only time she mingles with people of her age mate is only when she attends parties hosted by other nobles.

"Thank you." She muttered.

"Aleric, you brought out to play, I don't see you doing that." Tatia reminded Aleric and the latter smiled.

"Forgive me, my ladies, how about hopscotch." He suggested and the two beautiful girls agreed.

Morgana had a wonderful time and not only did she bond with Aleric but also bonded with Tatia.

"Because of special conditions, I wound be enrolling in the academy earlier than others." Morgana said while they were all sitting down. After playing hopscotch, they sat down beside the garden to have a small discussion.

"Which academy would be enrolling?" Tatia asked.

"Vemersapitia Academy."

"I will also be enrolling in the same academy." Tatia announced excitedly. Vemersapitia Academy is the most prestigious school in the world of Jusavia, every race dream of attending it but it's hard to get it. Tatia knew it was hard to get admitted but she was confident because her teacher told her she is talented enough.

"Great, I will happily wait for you." Morgana replied then looked at Aleric. The two girls had Aleric sandwiched between them and with their eyes glued to Aleric he felt mentally exhausted.

"Which Academy would you attend?" Even though Aleric had no talent, Morgana was sure he could study to become a strategy with the intelligence he displayed earlier.

"Me? I am not sure yet." Aleric chuckled.

"You know what you gave me today?" Morgana asked and Aleric shook his head.

"No."

"Not only fun but hope, all my life my parents have always been the ones to decide everything for me, with a care if I like it or not. They decide what to wear, who to make friends with, and who to end up with. While coming here to break off the engagement I was not concerned about it, but after you spoke and surprised everyone, you showed what it's like to speak your mind. Though the engagement would be broken off and my parents would start looking for another worthy candidate for me, I would no longer accept it."

Aleric raised his brows to Morgana's decision and gave her two thumbs up in his heart.

"You might be talentless, but you have something other people don't."

"And what's that?"

"The ability to give hope."

"Hope" the two girls spoke at the same time. Tatia remembered when Aleric fought her bullies for her. They were young and the bullies outnumbered them but she undoubtedly placed her hope on Aleric.

"Come on girl it's time to go, you are no longer engaged to that boy." Morgana's mother called her daughter. The news saddened Morgana but she steeled her heart because Aleric has given her new hope. 

"I would be right there." The mother left as she had enough decency to give her time privacy to say goodbye.

"Aleric, the engagement is off but I promise to wait for you and if you be worthy, I would be called your woman once again." She kissed Aleric on the cheek and said her goodbyes to Tatia before leaving. Aleric was rendered speechless by the actions of Morgana so he didn't even notice when Tatia left.

"Wait?" Tatia called after the carriage that was about to leave.

"Stop." Morgana stopped the carriage and it shocked her mother. Lady Brom has never seen her daughter act out of her expectations. Morgana climbed down and went to meet Tatia who was running after the carriage.

"What's wrong?" Morgana asked.

"You said you would wait for him?"

"Yes"

"I want to let you know, that you are not the only one on that ship." Tatia has been in love with Aleric ever since he fought for her so she would just sit back and watch someone else take him from her 

"I know." Morgana smiled and the two girls hugged each other and said their goodbyes once more.

Aleric without knowing has marked the two beautiful girls and many boys would hate him for it in the near future. Tatia watched as Morgana's carriage left and she wondered how many more girls would her Aleric charm. In the world of Jusavia, having more than one wife is common, even some good friends would always pray to marry the same husband so their friendship would continue.
