First Assignment

David shook his head quickly. “I haven’t changed my mind. I’m sticking with it,” he said without hesitation. His fear had decreased drastically. Little David recalled what his goal was. His words created a satisfied smile on the master’s face.

“Good,” the master said.

“Now use this sanitary. We will see it more clearly,” said the master.

“Shall we go there?”

“Hm. You have to get used to it. It will be your day job to deal with blood. You know ... in case you have to deal directly with things that concern it. We don’t know what will happen next.”
