Keidi shook his head in disbelief at David’s words. He never knew that this boy could think so. In his heart, David should have been a little more firm with himself. David should have fought the injustice done by the orphanage staff.

“I know maybe you feel you have nowhere else to live and have no choice but to stay in that home. Why don’t you just stay with me? I’m sure you’ll feel much more comfortable living with me and the other thieves, David. Your life will be much more secure.”

David using his clothes again. Still, there is a little sore on his back. But it also feels cooler and slowly the pain disappears. He turned and looked at Keidi. His gaze was sad and then shook his head in disapproval of Keidi’s offer.

“I can’t do that. Before I leave the orphanage, I have to think about a lot of things. I know you mean well to me, but there are some circumstances that leave me with no other choice.”
