As Leonard drove back home after dropping Clementine off at her place and making sure she was safe, he thought about Trisha's visit and the threat surrounding Mary's life.

Since Trisha had found out about where he lives, he was sure that the rest of her family won't let him be, so he decided to get a house close to where Mary was, to protect her and also to be away from Trisha and her family.

His mission was more important now and he didn't want to mess it up.

He had already been declared bankrupt, although it was a lie. He can never become bankrupt in this lifetime, so he wondered what they still wanted from him.

Fairfield was a luxury that poor and bankrupt people couldn't afford to keep. Staying there will only prove to them that he was still rich.

His mind suddenly thought of someone.

Keith.

Keith was the only friend he had made throughout the three rough years of his life. He had stood up for him at Celine's Café when John Kennedy had fired him.
