Chapter 9

They were both in a quieter room, the drinks were in front of them, and it was better than being outside. There was no conversation to put pressure on Charles for the five minutes they were together.

Julian studied the man in front of him, then finally spoke.

"You know about me, right?" Julian asked.

He had met Charles a few feet ago when he was a ward in the Murphy family. He did not stand out because of his abilities, and he stood out because he was often insulted. However, he often observed his surroundings and knew about their business capabilities. He could even rank each of the Murphy family on their abilities.

So, he knew that the man in front of him had underestimated him, even if it was only at a glance.

"Of course I know, Mr. Julian. That's why I would like to apologize for what I have done so far." Charles looked down so deeply he didn't dare to raise his head.

"That's just the past. Now you work for me."
