Chapter 2

“You damned thing.” Lyla immediately pushed Billy's body away, which was pressed against hers. Hastily, Lyla tried to find discarded clothes to cover herself. But then, she covered herself with the blanket. “How dare you come into my apartment without my permission? And you've ruined it. Damn it!” Lyla shouted loudly.

The woman couldn't contain her anger. All this time, she had never allowed Daniel inside, only barring him at the apartment door.

Daniel's eyes were red and his teeth were chattering. He ignored Lyla's words, directing his gaze to the naked Billy. His heart was truly hurt.

His gaze lingered on Lyla. “So this is your reason for sending the message? You want to show your betrayal?” Daniel's voice was low.

Lyla was confused. She frowned. “What do you mean? I didn't send—” The woman stopped immediately, realization dawning on her.

Lyla remembered when she was supposed to send the message to Billy. A few days ago, she had been pestering Billy for a designer bag.

Lyla immediately looked at Daniel, realizing the message had been sent to the wrong number.

Billy had actually agreed to buy her a designer bag, and they had agreed to meet at her apartment.

Lyla had intentionally sent the message as a reminder, but because of the misdirection, Billy arrived on schedule. And now, her mistake had exposed her affair with Billy.

Lyla tried to calm herself. In this situation, there was clearly something in store for Lyla. At least, she wouldn't have to find an excuse to end her relationship with Daniel. She had wanted to remove him from her life for a long time. She would use this moment to break up with him, knowing his mental state was already weak.

Lyla's previously nervous expression slowly turned cold. She didn't need to be intimidating. A cynical smile appeared on her face. "Yes, I sent that message on purpose. Are you surprised?"

"I just wanted you to see that I was with Billy," Lyla said innocently. "Is that a problem for you?" Lyla said indifferently.

Daniel squeezed the gift box he'd been holding. He didn't believe anything Lyla said. "I hope this is just a joke."

He spoke naively.

Even though he had seen Billy on top of Lyla, Daniel tried to push away all his negative thoughts. But he realized Lyla's words were like steel piercing his heart.

"I hope this is wrong. Tell me this is just a joke."

Daniel's gaze fell on Billy. "Have you manipulated her? Yes, you did that just to have sex with you, didn't you? You don't really want to help her." Daniel shouted at Billy.

Billy didn't answer, but Lyla could hear him laughing. "Oh, is this not clear enough, Daniel? Can't your eyes see all this?"

"Then what are you thinking? Do you think I'd still want to be with a lowly man like you? Look at you? Did you come in that filthy outfit to celebrate my birthday?" Lyla immediately changed her expression to a sneer. "How can you be so confident?"

Lyla's gaze darted around, scanning Daniel's utterly depraved appearance. "I wish I could punch you in the gut and tell you that I enjoyed every moment with Billy, including this sex. And there was no trickery whatsoever."

Daniel's heart was completely shattered. His hand gripping the gift box went limp. It dropped instantly.

He had saved some of his money to buy a gift for $50,000, thinking it was a huge sum.

Daniel had previously thought that Lyla would be happy and give him a tight hug. But now, he received nothing but betrayal.

Lyla glanced at the gift box that had fallen to the floor. She could peek through the open box. Then, Lyla couldn't hold back her laughter. "Oh my gosh, are you going to give me that tiny bag?"

Lyla got up from bed, her arms deliberately hugging Billy's still-naked body. "Look at the gift I got from Billy." She glanced at the table. It was a large, luxurious bag. Even though Daniel didn't know for sure, he could confirm that the price of the bag was much more expensive than what he had bought Lyla.

"Wouldn't that bag suit me better, honey?" she spoke to Billy affectionately.

Billy kissed her passionately, which Lyla returned gently. "What else did you expect? Lyla doesn't deserve a lowly man like you. And look, you should be worthy of meeting a beautiful woman like Lyla."

Daniel realized his poor appearance. He did it on purpose just because he didn't want Lyla to wait too long. And now he was being insulted.

Daniel could barely control his anger. But the pain in his heart made his eyes well up with tears. "I wish this wasn't true," he said softly.

Lyla was disgusted. She glared at Daniel with hatred. There was no longer any love in her eyes. She released her hand from Billy and walked toward Daniel.

"You're trash." She pushed Daniel away. "Get out of here. You don't deserve me."

"From today on, we have no more relationship. It's over. I don't want to be with a loser like you." Lyla pointed to the door. "Go away and don't show your face in front of me again."

"Besides, I still want to continue with Billy." Without shame, Lyla flashed Billy a flirtatious smile.

Daniel couldn't take this insult. His eagle eyes were sharp. His entire body tensed.

"Wait. Don't forget to take that stinking bag." Lyla steadied the dropped bag. "I don't need it."

Daniel stared at Lyla's feet. He had been collecting the money for months. And now, Lyla had deliberately kicked him.

Billy, meanwhile, smiled happily. He was not only satisfied with Lyla's decision to end her relationship with Daniel, but he was also pleased with her attitude toward him.

Billy approached as well, this time deliberately grabbing Lyla's waist and hugging her affectionately. His gaze remained fixed on Daniel. "Was everything Lyla said not clear enough for you?"

"This sexy woman has asked you to leave." Then, his face turned even more arrogant. "Or, do you want to see me have sex with Lyla again?" He laughed mockingly.

“Not only will you see a beautiful view, but you’ll also see the great me treating Lyla in bed. She’ll dance under and on top of me. She’ll go crazy with every touch I give her. And I’m sure this won’t be a disappointing show. Are you interested?”

Slowly, Billy deliberately raised his hands and touched every inch of Lyla’s body. Unconsciously, the blanket covering Lyla’s body fell, and Billy quickly planted his touch on Lyla’s chest, making her writhe with a beautiful moan.

“Oh my God, you’re teasing me, honey.” Lyla pinched Billy’s waist affectionately.

“Bastard.” Daniel was completely unable to bear the humiliation. His hands clenched tightly again, he walked over to Billy and delivered a punch.

With one punch, Daniel forced Billy to remove his hands from Lyla’s body. After that, Daniel delivered a flurry of punches.

Lyla was panicking. “What are you doing? Don’t do this. Let go of Billy.” Lyla continued screaming, but Daniel ignored her.

Lyla quickly grabbed her phone and called for security. "There's a madman running amok in my apartment. Come quickly."

Lyla grabbed another blanket and covered herself.

Not long after, five guards arrived and saw the chaos.

"Stop! What are you doing?"

Daniel stopped his punches. Billy wiped his bleeding lip. His body trembled with rage. He felt utterly wronged. "I want you to beat this bastard, and I'll give you $10,000."
