CHAPTER ONE

"She will sure love this surprise"

Pedro excitingly said to himself, as he has just arrived home, from England, unannounced.

"Lisa will be shocked to see me, today".

He had told her three days before, he can't make it back for her birthday. He premeditated the absence, to surprise her on her birthday.

"Huh. I wonder why Lisa will leave the door unlocked",

seeing that the door was partially open, as it was an unusual occurrence.

"This is rather strange. She never ever forgets to lock the door behind her, whether she's heading out or even inside" he said.

"Anyways, I really hope I got her the right flowers this time around. Wait, was it white or red roses, she said she liked that one time?"

he thought to himself, because he had gotten her flowers on their wedding anniversary, but she complained about the flowers not being the type she likes. Walking into the sitting room, he tripped over a shoe.

"Hm, this isn't mine",

he bent down to reach the shoe. It was a well crafted Italian leather shoe with the perfect finishing touches. From the crestings, one could easily tell that it was a very expensive shoe.

"This is quite expensive and I am sure this shoe doesn't belong to me. Ah! Definitely not mine. It is a size 43"

he said to himself, as his foot size was a little bigger than the one in his hand. Pedro only wore a size 45 fitting.

He walked towards the kitchen, thinking she might be cooking something special,as was her birthday after all. But he stopped abruptly at the dinning table, on hearing sounds coming from upstairs. He dropped the shoe on the dinning table, while looking towards the stairs.

"Is she having a guest up there?"

He asked himself rhetorically. Suddenly, there was a thud, like someone or something had fallen. He decided to go up to see what had made that sound. He approached the room quietly.

"It better not be a thief, but if it is, someone is definitely going to die, and it's not going to be me in a body bag".

He thought since he met the front door unlocked, tripping on an unknown male shoe, and hearing the sound upstairs, maybe someone had come into the house to steal, while Lisa was away.

"I really do hope it's not a thief though, because I don't remember the last time I tried hitting or even chasing someone". Almost at the door, he heard a man's voice

"Am I fulfilling all of your birthday wishes, Sweetness?"

"Yesssss. Keep driving in that rich, sweet sausage of yours, in me"

Lisa said, replying to the man. Pedro opened the door gently and saw Lisa. Her knees bent, back arched, with all four limbs on the bed, seriously getting humped by this man.

"Lisa!"

Pedro exclaimed. He was shocked to the extent that he could'nt even move. Rooted right where he stood, like someone who is frozen in ice. Never in his life would he have thought, not even in his wildest of imaginations, that she could betray him in such a manner.

"Oh please, quit looking at me like that. What did you expect? I gave you signs severally, but you are far too dumb to comprehend"

Lisa said to him with the utmost disdain look, for Pedro, her own husband. Someone would think she has been possessed by some kind of demon or something, because never has she spoken in such a condescending manner to her husband before, not until that very moment.

"Maybe I should go to the suite and wait for you after you are done talking with him"

The other man said. Don Michaelson was Lisa's bedmate, she has been having an affair with, for the past 6 months. He was a rich man, who was Lisa's benefactor. He would buy her expensive jewelries, all sorts of expensive stuffs like, the best of clothes, the most priced bags, shoes and all whatnot. Sometimes he will give her money without she even asking for it. And it wasn't like her husband didn't notice these things, but who would have thought she was getting them from Don Michaelson, because she had her textile business, which seemed to be very lucrative and apart from that, he trusted her. Pedro trusted her to the extent that he could bet his life, that his wife was not one of those type of women who would cheat on their husbands.

"Do not leave on the account of this fool and a never- do-well. If anyone should leave, it I will be him". She said.

"Lisa, I thought, I thought, I thought you loved me. We are married for heaven's sake"

Pedro, finding it hard to talk properly, but stuttered the words with tears in his eyes. His heart feeling like it was about to explode, because the kind of pain he was feeling at that moment, he had never felt before.

"We are fine. I mean, we were fine. Was there something I did wrong, that you hate me so much to pay me with such betrayal?"

He asked her, because he just couldn't understand why she would do this to him, despite the love they shared or so he thought they shared.

"I demand to know..." he tried asking her why she had done this, but got interrupted by her.

"Shut up! You bum. I have been with you for two years now, as your wife. What have you ever done for me? Hmm, no, tell me, what have you everrrrr done for me?. I have never been happy in this marriage. My friends get the best treatments from their acquaintances. But look at me who is married, and they are the ones without husbands, yet they are getting the best treatments" she said to Pedro.

"Sweetness I will be downstairs". Don Michaelson said to Lisa, he had already dressed up and stood there a while, while Lisa was lashing out at her husband.

"Don't go no where, he is the one who should excuse us. He has never made me happy in his life. So, why should he have to stay, while you leave?"

She had no remorse, no, she didn't have a bit, for she had plan to even divorce him before now. Perhaps it was fate that had played out, for her to announce the divorce to him, through the ugly incidence.

"Well, husband of mine, best prepare yourself, as you will be hearing from my lawyers very soon, with the divorce papers. I do not wish to continue with this sham of a marriage".

Pedro couldn't speak, for he had lost his voice and couldn't conjure up any word from his mouth. He turned back, and took his leave without taking any of his luggages. Not a single thing, not even clothes. He came outside, turned back, taking a final look at the place he thought was home, but had suddenly become his pain. Took a slow lonely walk down the street, walking down to the junction like someone without a home, one who was lost and had nobody. Standing at the junction, a dark limousine, with gold plated wheels, highlighted right in front of him, and a very beautiful woman came out from the limousine, stood by its door, still opened, smiled at him and said,

"Master, it's time to go home".
