Pius had just discharged the girls with him. He was too embarrassed and could not get his mind settled because Adolphus paid his bills.

That was the last thing he was expecting.

He was about to stand up from his chair but a strong hand grabbed him by the arm, forcing him to remain seated.

With a face cold as ice, he flung his hands at the person who dared to touch him. Fortunately, Adolphus was fast enough to duck, sending Pius's hands flying in the air.

When his eyes met with Adolphus's, he went pale for a moment before pulling himself together and barked. “You." He pointed, breathing heavily.

“What do you think you're doing?"

“Is that a way to thank someone who just paid for your meals and drinks." Adolphus replied, a mischievous grin on his face.

Adolphus dug his hands inside his trousers pocket and brought out the receipt of the payment he made.

With a very serious expression, he scanned the paper while calling out the prices of the things Pius and his girls took.
