Chapter 20

“I thought I told you that I'm not interested in listening to whatever you have to say." Adolphus spoke arrogantly to her but on the contrary, he didn't mean it.

He was already on his way to meet with Svetlana. He was just curious and believed her words from the previous night.

Maybe he was still in love with Svetlana. 

Adolphus had been trying to stay strong but in his heart, he was broken. He really loved Svetlana and wished the pain of heartbreak could just disappear.

Every time he sees her with Richmond, he's pained but tries not to show it.

“I'm waiting for you." Svetlana replied and ended the call immediately.

He stopped walking and stood at a spot for a while thinking about the whole situation.

Richmond was organizing a party in his home but Donald and Glover didn't mention it to him. It only meant that they were not invited just like him.

Well, that doesn't matter and does not bother him even though he plans on talking down on him like Svetlana said.

After a long pause, he continued walking while his phone began to ring again. It was Svetlana but this time he didn't answer the call.

A moment later, Adolphus was standing outside the abandoned chemistry laboratory.

Before going into the place, he scanned the whole area and didn't notice any suspicious movement. 

From inside, Svetlana sighted him and waved at him, beckoning him to hurry inside.

Adolphus reluctantly got inside and stood aside with his hands on the waist. He kept a straight face and spoke to Svetlana in a very cold voice. “I'm here now so hurry up with whatever you have to say then I'll be on my way immediately.”

A dry chuckle left Svetlana's lips as stared at Adolphus with a mischievous grin.

Svetlana was wearing a pink crop top, leaving her flat tummy exposed and a jeans shorts which left her hot legs visible to Adolphus.

Adolphus could not help but drool over her body, especially those standing breasts pointing at his face.

He could not explain what was going on in his mind as he saw himself thinking of how Svetlana would look if she was naked before him.

Svetlana had only used him in the past and never loved him. Unfortunately, he fell desperately in love with her.

He loved her so much and respected her that he never attempted to even kiss her. He was waiting for a green light from her which never came.

Adolphus never kissed her not to talk of making love with her. All he thought about was to make her happy.

He believed that they'd make all the love they want at the right time, that is after they graduated and he got a good job and they also got married.

Well, he was the only one who had those dreams. Svetlana's dream was entirely different and she was already living her dream, which was dating a rich guy.

When Svetlana noticed Adolphus's gaze on her body, she took the opportunity to tease him.

“Adol, dear." She spoke in a very low voice while walking up to him and biting her lips seductively.

Out of impulse, Adolphus began to walk backwards as he could not comprehend what was in the mind of Svetlana. She was acting rather strange.

“Do you want some of these? Your eyes have been fixed on my body all these while." Svetlana held onto her breast as she continued to walk up to Adolphus who moved backwards.

“Svetlana, stop it and tell me what you're up to. Why did you bring me here." Adolphus rebuked her but she didn't back down. She continued to close in on Adolphus.

“You can take me now, if you want. I know you've wanted to do this. Moreover, we're alone here and no one will see us. No one will find out about this, not even Richmond.”

"Stop it, Svetlana. Look, if you have nothing important to say to me, then I'll be on my way now.”

"You're so unbelievable.”

Adolphus wanted to turn around and leave that instant but she caught his arm.

"Wait, I'm so sorry about the stunt I just pulled. I was only testing you and you passed. Although I'm not surprised because you've always been a decent young man.”

"You keep surprising me, Adol.” She added and got her hands shoved off.

Adolphus stepped closer to her, eyes locked and with a very darkened expression, he gave her a piece of his mind.

“You are really shameless and I regret coming here to meet with you. It's obvious that you have nothing to say to me. You only called me here to humiliate me, right?" 

“Well, like you said. I'm a very decent young man that was properly brought up. I'm not like those hooligans you hang out with." 

“And be careful who you try this stunt with next time because you may not be this lucky." 

"I actually meant it when I told you that Richmond was plotting against you but since you don't want to hear me out, it's fine. You can leave now.” Svetlana blurted out, sounding angry. She turned her back to Adolphus and stood with her hands across her chest.

Her actions got Adolphus really confused and he could not even understand what she was up to.

She wasn't telling him anything after bringing him to that place. Now she was getting angry for nothing.

After a moment of silence, Adolphus shook his head many times and sighed deeply before muttering.

“Don't you dare ever call my number again. This will be the last time you contact me and waste my precious time." 

Turning around to leave, Adolphus got struck on the head and before he knew what was happening, someone covered his mouth and nose.

He struggled really hard to breathe but the people held him down, overpowering him.

He could not even move his body and the next minute, all he saw was darkness, a total black out.
