"Do I really have to trust this system?" Rafael murmured, still uncertain in his heart.
But there was no choice but to try it. He then read the system’s instructions again.
The first step suggested by the system was to gather more evidence to destroy Elias's credibility at Mauve Corporation.
The system displayed a mission option: “Access Elias's secret documents.” On his phone screen, a step-by-step guide appeared, including the password Elias used to access his personal account on the company device.
Rafael was stunned by the detail. "Where did the system get all this?" he thought, both amazed and confused.
However, he knew that the answer to that question wasn’t as important as his current goal: to regain his dignity and get revenge for the betrayal he had just experienced.
With the help of the system, Rafael sneaked into his old laptop, which still had limited access to Mauve Corporation’s server. He followed the system’s instructions, and within minutes, his laptop screen was filled with suspicious documents showing Elias’s dark schemes—the embezzlement of funds that Elias had carried out, using Rafael’s name as a scapegoat.
Rafael read each document carefully, his anger and determination burning hotter in his chest. "So this is how you set me up, Elias? Alright, let the game begin."
"But is this really concrete?" Rafael muttered.
He stared at the documents with furrowed brows. Although the information from the system seemed incredibly accurate, he knew that this evidence wasn't strong enough to bring Elias down. The documents had to be verified to ensure that there were no loopholes for Elias to escape.
"System, what should I do next?" he asked, typing on the interface.
The screen on his phone flickered, displaying a new message:
“Next step: Find a witness or supporting data. Physical archive location: Mauve Corporation’s archive room, code cabinet E-23.”
Rafael sighed deeply. He understood that returning to Mauve’s office was a risky move, but it was the only way to ensure that all the data was valid.
"Alright, I'll do it," he muttered.
That night, Rafael carefully planned his move. He would sneak into the Mauve office once everyone had left. The system provided him with a building layout, including the locations of security cameras and safe routes to enter without being detected.
When night fell, Rafael prepared in all-black clothing and carried whatever equipment he might need, knowing he had to move cautiously.
With his phone in hand, providing real-time instructions, he successfully entered the building without triggering any alarms.
"Wow... this system is really sophisticated. It even knows everything, so cool. I don’t have to figure anything out," Rafael said, impressed by the incredible system.
Rafael moved quietly, his eyes scanning the surroundings as per the instructions on his phone. The system displayed the Mauve office layout with green indicators marking safe paths free from surveillance cameras.
Several times, he paused at hallway corners to ensure there were no patrolling security officers.
"It’s like I’m playing a stealth game," Rafael muttered with a faint smile, although his heart was still pounding.
After what felt like hours, Rafael reached the archive room. The reinforced door looked sturdy, but the system quickly provided guidance on how to open it.
“Use code: 98765. Press the green button on the right.”
“Cool... it really knows everything,” Rafael said, thoroughly impressed with the system.
He followed the instructions. As the door clicked open, he felt both relieved and further amazed by the system’s capabilities.
“This is more than just technology,” he thought.
Upon entering, Rafael immediately searched for the cabinet with code E-23. In the dim light, he saw rows of documents and archives neatly organized. After finding the right cabinet, the system guided him on how to open its mechanical combination lock.
When the cabinet door opened, Rafael froze. Inside, there were physical documents, transaction reports, and internal notes that directly confirmed Elias’s embezzlement scheme. All of them bore Elias’s name and original signature, clear and indisputable.
"This is it!" Rafael hissed triumphantly. He took photos of every document with his phone’s camera, making sure not to miss a single one.
However, as he was photographing the last document, the system issued a warning.
“Warning: Activity detected near your location. Hide immediately.”
Rafael’s breath caught in his throat. He turned off the small light on his phone and carefully closed the cabinet door. Footsteps echoed closer down the corridor. Rafael quickly hid behind a large shelf, holding his breath and preparing for the worst.
“Is someone here?” a deep voice called from the door. A shadow slowly entered the room.
Rafael bit his lip, trying to stay calm while searching for a way to escape without being detected.
A security guard walked in, shining a flashlight across the entire archive room.
Rafael held his breath, his body frozen behind the large shelf. The flashlight moved slowly, shining on shelf after shelf, getting closer to his hiding spot. Cold sweat began to bead on his temples, and he struggled to make no sound whatsoever.
“Who’s there?” the security guard asked again, his voice cautious. His footsteps grew closer, just a few meters from Rafael’s position.
The system on his phone vibrated softly, displaying a new message:
“Distraction available. Activate?”
Rafael quickly tapped “Yes” without thinking. In seconds, the sound of a false alarm rang from the other end of the corridor. The security guard immediately reacted, turning his body toward the door.
“What’s that?” he muttered, quickly walking out of the archive room, his flashlight still directed forward.
Once the guard’s footsteps faded, Rafael let out a sigh of relief. He knew he didn’t have much time before someone realized the alarm was a fake. He quickly finished photographing the last document, then locked the cabinet and made sure everything looked as it was.
The system provided a safer exit route, avoiding cameras and the potential encounter with other security officers. Rafael followed the guidance carefully, eventually managing to leave the building without further incident.
In his old car, Rafael exhaled deeply as he stared at the phone screen. The documents were now neatly stored in his photo gallery, and a new message from the system appeared:
“Congratulations... You have completed your first mission. Fifty million dollars have been transferred to your personal account.”
Rafael stared at the screen with wide eyes. The amount displayed in his personal bank account was truly incredible.
“Is this real?” he thought, in disbelief.
He rubbed his face, trying to convince himself. "This isn’t a dream, this is really happening. Fifty million dollars?”

"Alright, let’s take down that damn traitor!" Rafael muttered with fiery determination. He didn’t waste another second. Slamming his foot on the gas pedal, he sped onto the main road.“Damn it!”“What is it?” Dirk asked, glancing at Rafael, who was now fumbling with his phone.“I lost him,” Rafael growled in frustration. The security system Sienna had installed wasn’t strong enough to track Martin’s whereabouts.“Wait a sec,” Rafael said, focusing intently on his phone. He tried to send a request to the System for help—anything that could help him trace Martin. The System showed a new feature—Individual Tracking—a tool that could locate someone by simply entering their name.Rafael scanned the feature description quickly. “Individual Tracking... Damn, it’s insanely expensive,” he muttered through gritted teeth. “All because of that bastard Martin! I’m paying this much for one single feature? He better pray I don’t catch him!”Reluctantly, Rafael hit “Purchase.” He nearly wept as he wa

Rafael narrowed his eyes at the man, trying to read the true intent behind that sly smile.“I don’t make deals without knowing the terms,” Rafael said coldly. The man chuckled and pushed the flash drive a little closer to him. “Trust me, this deal will benefit you. I know who betrayed you, and I know who's behind all of it.”Rafael didn’t react, though his mind was racing faster than ever.“Why do you care?” he asked eventually. The man took a sip of his drink before answering. “Because we have a common enemy.”Rafael still hadn’t taken the flash drive. “And if I refuse?”The man smirked. “Then you’ll walk out of here without answers. But time is ticking, Rafael. The longer you wait, the deeper the traitor burrows into your team.”Rafael studied him, calculating. This could be a trap, but if the information on that drive was legit...With cautious movements, Rafael finally took the flash drive. The man’s smile widened. “A wise decision.”Rafael slipped the device into his pocket. “I’l

It’s already noon,” he added.Dirk walked up beside him. “She still hasn’t come out?”Rafael shook his head silently.Dirk sighed. “She must still be shaken.”Rafael knocked again, this time more gently. “Lena, we need to talk. I know this is hard for you, but locking yourself in won’t help.”Silence.Rafael was about to give up when he heard the door unlock from the inside. It opened just a little, revealing Elena’s pale face and swollen eyes.“I don’t want to talk,” she whispered.Rafael looked at her intently. “You don’t have to talk. But you do have to eat.” He held up a lunchbox in his hand.Elena glanced at the box, then at Rafael. There was warmth in his eyes, but also a firmness she couldn’t refuse. Finally, she took the food.“I have to go out—there’s something I need to take care of. Eat

“All the security systems are intact—there’s no sign of forced entry. And from what I can see on the CCTV footage, Ivory went with that mysterious man of her own free will,” Sienna explained.“No! There's no way Ivory would go with a stranger! She’s a timid girl and never talks to anyone outside!” Leonard shouted, panicked by the sudden disappearance of his sister.Leonard scanned the faces in the room, his eyes landing on Rafael. He immediately walked up to him, who remained standing with a composed expression.“El, please... help me find Ivory, right now. I’m terrified she might be hurt,” Leonard pleaded.“Leon, like Sienna said, she left on her own. And maybe... Martin’s theory has some truth to it,” Rafael replied calmly.“What are you implying?” Leonard snapped. “Are you accusing my sister of being a spy?”Rafael didn’t respond immediately. He met Leonard’s furious gaze with a steady and sharp look, carefully weighing his next words.“I’m not accusing anyone without proof,” Rafae

“This—?” Elena froze in place at the sight before her. Her body remained stiff until the room’s light switch flipped on, drawing her gaze over her shoulder—where tears were already streaming down her face.“Lena? We need to get out of here now, Len,” he said urgently.“El—?” Elena’s words caught in her throat as fresh tears spilled from her eyes.Rafael approached her, his face etched with confusion. “What happened?” he asked gently.Elena turned her head and pointed to one of the photos on the wall. It showed a woman, clearly unconscious or drugged. What shocked Rafael the most was the woman's condition—naked, disheveled, and surrounded by three men in what appeared to be a hotel room.“My sister!” Elena’s voice finally broke through her sobs. “They... they ruined my sister’s life, El!”Her sobs erupted uncontrollably, her head bowing as grief overwhelmed her.Rafael was stunned, sympathy
