"Of course."
As soon as Jonah agreed, Mikael immediately changed his clothes and packed some of his belongings.
Jonah was stunned and blinked several times when he saw how Mikael acted.
During the trip, Jonah repeatedly glanced at Mikael with a furrowed brow.
"What's wrong?" Mikael finally asked, unable to bear it any longer.
Jonah shook his head. "You look very different."
"Different how?"
"Oh, well ... you usually talk a lot, but since you woke up from your coma, you've been much quieter, and I even feel like you're not yourself."
Mikael raised his right eyebrow. "What do you mean, not like me?"
"You're too calm and ... somehow I feel like you have an aura that intimidates people. I even feel impressed and intimidated by you."
Mikael immediately turned to his friend who was driving the car, "Isn't that a good thing?"
Jonah smiled awkwardly, "I'm not saying it's bad, but ... I'm just not used to it. Ah, never mind. Besides, I think it's good that you're like this."
Mikael wanted to ask more questions but decided against it.
His main goal this time was to get to the house as soon as possible and claim something that belonged to Mikael Summer.
When they arrived at the Brown family's house, Jonah got out of the car with him.
"I'll accompany you."
Mikael didn't refuse and let Jonah walk with him towards the entrance.
But when they arrived at the front door of the house, Mikael was surprised to see his two bags placed in front of the door.
"Mike, aren't those the bags you bought with me last month?"
Mikael nodded.
"Why are they placed in front?" Jonah asked again in a surprised tone.
Before Mikael could answer, the closed door in front of him suddenly opened from the inside.
Jenna Brown, Mikael's wife, opened it and stared boredly at Mikael.
"Jenna, what did you do with my bag?"
Jenna sighed lazily, "I packed your things. Please leave!"
Jonah was stunned. He was about to respond to Jenna, but Mikael was much quicker than him. "I'm not leaving, Jenna. At least not now."
Jenna gritted her teeth in annoyance, "Mike, you really don't know yourself. I already told you that I want a divorce. Are you so stupid that you can't understand it at all?"
"I don't want to have a husband from a lowly class like you," Jenna added emotionlessly.
Jonah clenched his fists when he heard the insult to his friend.
Usually Mikael would remain silent and instead busy himself persuading his wife to reconcile with him.
Jonah knew that Mikael was indeed foolish and willing to accept all kinds of inappropriate treatment from his wife.
However, this time Jonah heard Mikael say coldly, "Jenna, I'm not saying that I don't want to divorce you."
Jenna frowned, looking surprised.
Mikael smiled faintly at the confusion on Jenna's face. "Don't worry, we will definitely get divorced. But ... before that happens, there's something I have to settle with your father."
Jenna was stunned.
Mikael turned to Jonah, who looked surprised by Mikael's change in attitude, "Can you pick me up tomorrow morning? Jonah?"
"Tomorrow morning? Yes, Mike."
"Okay, see you tomorrow morning," Jonah added.
At first, Jonah accompanied Mikael to face the Brown family. But after seeing for himself how Mikael could defend himself, Jonah thought he didn't need to be there.
"See you tomorrow." Mikael replied.
After Jonah left the house, Mikael immediately took his two bags and entered the house without even glancing at Jenna.
"Mike, who gave you permission to enter the house? You-"
"Jenna, I'm going to sign the divorce papers tomorrow morning. That means ... for now, I'm still your husband. I have the right to enter this house because it belongs to your grandfather, who told me I could stay here as long as I wanted." Mikael replied without looking at his wife.
Jenna was stunned. "Mikael, you ... how dare you-"
"Where's your father? There's something I need to talk to him about," Mikael cut Jenna off impatiently.
"Dad's not here. He won't be home until tonight," Jenna replied curtly.
Mikael nodded slightly, then chose to go to the guest room and enter it.
Jenna, who saw this, became even more confused.
During their marriage, this was the first time Mikael had seemed indifferent to her. He didn't even look at her with his usual gentle gaze. Instead, he looked at her coldly.
Usually, Mikael would try hard to persuade and coax her when she was angry or upset.
However, at this moment, Mikael seemed completely indifferent to everything.
"In fact, he wants to sign the divorce papers tomorrow. How could he change his mind so quickly? What ... could it be that he has cheated on me and found someone else, so he can easily get rid of me?" Jenna felt angry imagining that.
Overcome with anger, Jenna immediately called her parents, who were still outside the house.
She told them what Mikael had done.
They arrived at the house sooner than Jenna had expected.
Bobby asked, gritting his teeth, "Where is that loser?"
"He really has no self-awareness. How dare he enter this house without my permission?" Liza put her hands on her hips.
Jenna sighed wearily.
"He's in the guest room right now, Dad. I think he's really strange." Jenna began to explain, frowning.
"Strange?"
Jenna nodded, "Mom, he agreed to divorce me."
Liza immediately clapped her hands and smiled brightly, "Wow, that's great. Finally, he knows that he's not good enough for you."
Bobby laughed mockingly, "He knows he's a loser, that's why he now dares to back down and let you go, Jenna."
Jenna sighed wearily, "But ... he said he wants to talk to you, Dad. He will sign the divorce papers once he has settled something with you."
Hearing that, Bobby’s face, which had initially looked bright, suddenly turned purple.
“That little bastard! How dare he try to negotiate with me!” Bobby growled angrily.
Curious, Liza asked, “What does he want to settle with you, Bob?”
Bobby rolled his eyes. "He must want that old watch."
"Old watch?" Jenna furrowed her brow.
"Yes. That old watch belonged to him, and I confiscated it after your grandfather died, Jenna. But that watch ... I don't remember where I put it. Maybe I threw it away."
Bobby's explanation immediately made Liza think. "If the watch is gone, what if that loser refuses to sign the divorce papers?"
Bobby snorted.
"What ... should we try to find a fake watch that looks like his old one, Dad?" Jenna suggested.
"Right. Let's just buy a watch that looks like it for a cheap price." Liza nodded in agreement with her daughter's suggestion.
But Bobby shook his head. "Why do we have to go through all that trouble?"
"But, Dad. What if he ...." Jenna's face was filled with worry.
“Don’t worry! If he doesn’t want to sign, just leave it. You don’t need his signature, Jenna. Because tomorrow I’ll make sure he won’t be able to get out of bed again.” Bobby grinned.

His brow furrowed slightly. Before Mikael could do anything, he heard Leon Verdict speak, “You … won’t salute Deputy General Henley, Cadet?”The atmosphere around them instantly grew tense. How dare you!”Leon smiled irrit

Mikael Avery finished his dinner without seeming in a hurry. He set down his last spoon calmly, paying no heed to the chorus of jeers still echoing around him. Chapter 20
Dilon let out a long sigh, his gaze softening as he looked at Arion. “Don’t twist it like that,” he said softly. “You’re still my friend. You always have been. That hasn’t changed.”Arion fell silent for a moment, but his jaw tightened. “But you just said we’re here to compete.”“Yes,” Dilon replied firmly. “As participants, we are rivals. But that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped considering you a friend.”The explanation made sense, but for some reason it only made Arion even more annoyed. There was something in Dilon’s tone-too rational, too cold that made him feel like their relationship was being weighed, not lived.“I don’t like the way you think,” Arion muttered finally.Dilon frowned. “Arion, it’s not what you think. You’re just-”“It really doesn’t matter if you consider me a rival too,” Arion cut in quickly. He turned around, then walked away, choosing to sit on the other side of the room. The distance between them, which had been just a few steps, now felt like a chasm.Dilon fel
Chapter 19
“Isn’t that … Diana Avery?”“Diana Avery? General Avery’s sister?”Another soldier remarked, “Of course. Who else has the surname Avery apart from those siblings?”Mikael’s attention, which had previously been focused solely on his younger sister, was now divided by the indistinct whispers of the recruit candidates. The recruit candidates began to whisper, their eyes fixed on Diana.“Goodness! She really is beautiful! Absolutely stunning!” a young man in the back row whispered, nearly choking with nervousness as he stared at Diana.“If she weren’t beautiful, how could King Philup be so smitten with her?” replied his friend, stifling a laugh.Mikael Avery’s composure was instantly shattered. His fists clenched at his sides. He knew exactly what their stares meant. Every graceful step Diana took seemed to fan the embers of anger in his chest.‘Bastard! Anyone who dares to look at her with impure thoughts will regret it,’ Mikael thought, his jaw clenching. He glanced briefly at Sean Henl

Sean Henley stood tall on a small stage facing hundreds of prospective soldiers. His gaze swept across the long line with the air of an officer accustomed to judging people solely by the way they stood. Most of the young men looked nervous. It was clearly written on their faces. Some swallowed hard, some rubbed their palms together, and some even tried to stand straighter when they realized they were being watched. But one person stood out. Sean paused for a moment. His gaze fell on a man in the middle of the line.Mikael Summer. The man stood casually yet still upright, as if he weren’t participating in a selection process that could determine his future. Jesse Colyn was still staring at the man who had just been called, even after Mikael Summer had stepped away from the examination table. That faint smile kept lingering in his mind. There was something about him that felt so familiar.Jesse furrowed his brow, looking confused. For some reason, an image of someone suddenly popped into his mind.‘Why does he remind me of General Avery’?That faint smile and that calm gaze… for some reason, they felt very similar to the late war general of the Kingdom of Arans. But two seconds later, Jesse shook his head slowly.“Impossible,” he muttered softly.General Avery was gone. Everyone in the Kingdom of Arans knew that. Besides, the man who had just been called clearly had a different face.Maybe it was just a coincidence.
