“Father!”

Lucius abruptly burst out of his car without waiting for it to come to a complete stop, acting as though the world were crumbling around him, his frantic yell echoing through the estate.

Bolting toward the mansion, he ignored the Scoan servants, who instinctively averted their eyes, knowing well that this version of Lucius—unrestrained and desperate—was the most terrifying to offend.

Without acknowledging anyone, Lucius stormed through the grand halls, slamming open the doors as he made his way to his father’s bedroom.

Finally, he entered, and just then;

“Who dares?!”

A deep, enraged voice erupted from within the room Lucius had just invaded.

In the following second, the patriarch of the Scoan family and Lucius’s father, Augustus Scoan, a man in his early sixties sprang upright from his bed, yanking a duvet to cover his nakedness.

“Father!”

Lucius, ignoring the man’s fury called out again, finally stopping before him.

  • Chapter 544 – Bloodfang Viper’s Strike (Bonus Chapter)

*****[ The Owed Bonus Chapter ]Despite Bloodfang Viper’s terrifying and cold aura, Xavier didn’t summon his energy. He didn’t adjust his stance, and even more, he didn’t tense his shoulders even a bit.If anything… he looked more relaxed. Some might even say lazy.“Is he… asleep standing?” someone whispered in disbelief. It didn’t make sense. But before they could think much:“I’m taking it you’re not going to apologize for the disruption you caused this city tonight, no?” Xavier asked calmly. His voice was steady… eerily so. The words weren’t shouted. They weren’t aggressive. Just plainly stated… as though he were asking whether someone intended to clean up after spilling a drink. And yet, the silence that followed was deafening.Every head in the crowd whipped toward Xavier, their jaws slack with disbelief.A few nearly stumbled backward, as if the sheer absurdity of the question had physically struck them.“Did he really just ask that?” someone whispered hoarsely.“

  • Chapter 543 – I Like You

*****Everyone had originally assumed that Bloodfang Viper had only decided to kill Xavier because he had already seen Xavier, thinking that the task was originally meant to be carried out by his subordinates. After all, that made more sense. But now? It was certain, it was certain that the mission was going to be concluded by Bloodfang Viper himself.A deadly hush spread through the onlookers like poison gas. The revelation twisted their stomachs and froze their limbs.Suddenly… they didn’t just fear for Xavier. They pitied him.‘If it were me, I’d have chosen a coma over certain death,’ many thought grimly, exchanging glances filled with unease. But then… Xavier’s voice rang out once more.“So…” he repeated, coolly. “What did you choose? Coma… or death?”That sentence shattered the silence like glass underfoot.Gasps echoed around him, and everyone stared at Xavier in a daze… utterly unable to comprehend what they had just heard.‘He… was throwing the 'offer' back again?’

  • Chapter 542 – I Don’t Fail Missions

*****Lyria’s words hung heavy in the air for a moment, infused with desperation and raw vulnerability. It wasn’t just a plea anymore. It was a lifeline thrown from the edge of despair. And yet, Xavier didn’t budge. He didn’t utter a word.He didn’t even blink. For a fleeting second, the faint smile on his lips flickered—but then it returned, unwavering.Lyria’s heart cracked at this, and the hope she clung to instantly crumbled in her chest. She had known Xavier to be proud… but this wasn’t pride anymore. This was conviction. And that terrified her even more.Even little Lola… still trembling from the earlier carnage, stepped forward, her tiny frame shaking. Though she was young, her instincts screamed that something was very wrong. Her eyes, wide with childlike fear, searched Xavier’s face.“Uncle… please don’t let anything bad happen to you,” she whimpered through choked sobs. Her voice was soft, but it cut through the tension like a blade. It struck Xavier right in t

  • Chapter 541 – Please Take A Step Back

*****“Wow,” a voice said slowly, almost laughing in disbelief. “No one has ever dared to turn my threat back on me before.”The words struck like a thunderclap, electrifying the air.It was as if lightning had cleaved the atmosphere in half—sharp gasps erupted across the villa like a chain reaction. Everyone jolted backward involuntarily, as though an invisible blast had ripped through their spines.Tremors shook even the sturdiest figures, faces turned pale, lips parted in horror, and breath caught in countless throats. All eyes turned, almost in unison, toward the source of the voice.Bloodfang Viper. The demon himself had regained his composure. He now stood tall, having shed his earlier disbelief. His composure had returned, but it came with a spine-chilling aura. His once-surprised face had twisted back into a wicked grin, though his eyes gleamed with something dark and unreadable. Not rage. Not curiosity.Something far more lethal.Everyone present knew it then. This wasn’t a w

  • Chapter 540 – He Has Gone Mad!

*****Hearing the five’s words, Mistress Ayra didn’t as much as frown at the suggestion. Instead, she merely chuckled—a soft, chilling sound that slithered through the dark like a whisper from the abyss. Then she stretched slowly, like a cat rising from slumber, her voice rich with amusement and something more elusive. “Even when the ending seems certain… sometimes the process reveals more than the outcome. I want to see it. I need to understand what motivates him. Where does that madness come from… and why do I feel it’s not just insanity?”There was a cryptic note at the end of her words, one that sent a chill down the spine of even her most veteran assassins. Yet, they didn’t comment. They merely exchanged glances, rolled unseen eyes, and fell back into silence.'What could possibly be special about a reckless fool too deluded to see his own doom?'They didn’t know. And frankly speaking, they didn’t care.To them, Xavier was just another overconfident man-child playing hero i

  • Chapter 539 – Who is This Lunatic?

*****Silence seemed to reign like a tyrant, suffocating the very air around the Myron estate at this very moment. It wasn’t simply quiet… it was unnatural, the type of stillness that seemed to mute the world itself, where even the wind dared not blow, and the chirping of insects ceased as if the earth held its breath. And yet, within that heavy silence, no one within the Myron family residence reacted. No one could. They were too overwhelmed, frozen not by fear, but by an overwhelming cocktail of disbelief, dread, and awe. Why?Xavier’s words.…Somewhere not too far from where Sage Myron, his family, and their guards stood dumbfounded, six enigmatic silhouettes hovered in the night like ghosts of the void. They had become one with the darkness, woven into the fabric of the shadows themselves.Even if one stared directly at these six figures, they would appear as nothing more than an indistinguishable part of the night. This concealment wasn't mere stealth… it was an art.
