CHAPTER ONE

Just when he thought that all was lost for him, he got a message from the delivery office that they needed an emergency delivery that night.

And as the company's junkyard, who else was fit for the job? But that didn't matter to him anymore.

He knew that such jobs were instant pay. His wedding anniversary with the person who meant the whole world to him was just a few hours ahead.

And the bracelet that he wanted to get for her was about 50 bucks and after all his savings, he could only get forty-nine.

"I can't allow what happened last year to repeat itself." He said to himself

"He pulled off swiftly from the point that he laid and got into the only shoe that he had. That was open-mouthed at the tip."

When he got to the company, it turned out that it was an engagement ring for a couple that had a party that night but lost the ring

"Must be pitiful." He thought. "I have to get this to them as soon as possible before it's way too late." He thought in his head

Sighs.

"I wish that I could get one of these for Beauty. Whoever owes this must be rich." He thought aloud.

He rode at alarming speed but he didn't mind. Stream of sweets flooded down from the corner of his eyes and his hands ached.

But he didn't even feel the pain because it was all for his beauty.

And soon enough, he was at the event center and he was directed to where he was going to make the delivery by the guards at the post when they saw the parcel in his hands.

But when he got there, he fell backward at the sight that he saw before him.

For a few moments, it was thought the whole of his body was out of words.

He shivered hard and his lips quivered while he ran his hands through his eyes to see if what was before him was actually real or he was just hallucinating.

It was his Beauty at the far end of the hall, flirting with a Beast that soon pulled his kiss away from her and walked to the other end of the hall to greet the guest that continued to flock in at regular intervals.

His heart raced fast, beating against his chest as though it was going to burst through as he was still trying hard to figure out what was before him for a moment.

"This can't be true." He mumbled.

"And she was dressed as a bride?"

For a moment, Ethan could not comprehend what was going on in the hall.

"Did beauty have a twin that I didn't know anything about?" Random thoughts ran through his mind.

Opening his mouth to speak, his words quickly fluttered into multiple shutters as he tried to gather back his words.

"This has to be a dream." He whispered to himself, pinching his cheeks as hard as he could.

"I can still feel the pain. That means that I am not dreaming."

A gasp escaped from his mouth making him fall backward slowly, accidentally hitting a waiter that was behind him and spilling wine all over himself.

"What have you done you bitch." The waiter growled at him With his face hot red with anger

The single act brought the attention of the manager of the event centers towards them, making him turn to walk briskly towards them with a frown on his face.

"And what are you doing here? Trying to make a scene? The manager growled at him almost in a whisper because he was trying as hard as he could not to attract any form of attention.

"Do you want to chase away everyone from this hotel with your bad odor?" He growled loudly out of anger.

The sound quickly brought the groom's attention and staring at his hands, he noticed that he was holding the make-up ring parcel.

Staring right into his eyes even in the not so bright hall, Ethan recognized him immediately

It was the upcoming billionaire that recently had the largest company in the City to invest in his dream at such a tender age, Marcel by name.

"There you are. What took you so long in the first place." He walked gradually towards Ethan and tried to take the Parcel away from him but Ethan held on firmly to it.

"And what do you think it is that you are doing?" He inquired trying to get it away from Ethan but his grip on it was way too tight.

He kept on staring in the direction of Beauty or seemed to be way too busy that she didn't realize what was going on.

Until Marcel had to yell loudly at him, making everyone that was around turn gradually towards him.

Their eyes crossed paths and her face turned pale almost immediately.

"Beauty!!!" These were the only words that he could spit out of his mouth, still was startled that he behaved like someone that had paralysis

Marcel stared at him angrily like someone who was only there as a spy or to ruin his engagement party.

"Who the hell are you?" His anger flamed up and when he noticed that he was not listening to him, he turned around towards Beauty.

"Do you know this guy from anywhere? Or invited him here by any chance" He inquired trying to keep cool.

Ethan stared right into his eyes waiting for the words that she was going to say but she was hesitant for a while.

"I haven't seen him anywhere." She finally uttered.

The words struck him like a flash of lightning and I could feel tears forming at the corner of his eyes but he pushed them back almost immediately.

"You don't know me?" He made a face at her filled with so much tears at the cost of her betrayal.

Now he could feel his anger rising so bad as thoughts about his past flashed through his mind.

It was obvious to him now that he had only been using him all those while and nothing else.

The late homecoming and the silly excuses. He clutched his hands trying to control his anger. He should have known earlier but he was so blinded by love.

"Now that she has cleared the air. I am not going to give you another moment here. You are going to leave the place right away or I might have to order the guards to take you out." He pushed Ethan backwards but he was unaffected by the push.

"I can't believe that you can do this to me, Beauty. After every single thing that I have done for you?"

"I don't know what you are talking about." She tried to hide it from everyone.

But he could already see through her. Her hands shuttered and her legs quivered.

"This is the trick you poor bums use, isn't it? Get this broke ass out of this place." He ordered the guards.

The guards walked towards him, releasing a splitting slap on his face that made him fall backward and spit out the blood that had formed on his lips.

The guard tore the parcel away from him and handed it over to the groom, pulling Ethan away from the place like some pieces of thrash.

But he kept on staring at Beauty until she was forced to push her eyes away from him.

Meanwhile, Marcel walked over to her and kissed her slightly on her forehead but that was not enough to put out her fears.

He noticed that she was every bit worried and that bothered him so much.

"What's wrong?" He inquired staring right into his eyes.

"I just feel a little bit sick. I have never experienced such a thing before." She explained to him, burying her head deep into his hands.

His face twisted into a frown almost immediately as he pulled away from her and from the expression that was hanging on his face beauty could tell that something was about to go wrong.

"What are you about to do?" She inquired With a worried look on her face.

"What does it look like I want to do? Teach that fool a lesson of cause for having the guts to ruin my engagement party." He ventured.

"You don't have to do that. Just leave him alone, let's continue with the party." She tried to stop him but he was not going to listen to a single word that she was trying to pass across to him.

"I can't let any bum disrespect my Love and go scout-free so easily." He ventured, pulling away from her.

Meanwhile, Ethan walked outside with his anger gradually melting away and he could feel the pain in his eyes as she was the only person that had really cared for him.

He just discovered that it was all a fake.

He felt that he had meant a bus stop where everything else in the world ceased to exist.

"How could you do such to me beauty." He could feel the tears stalk right in his eyes but he  a weakling that would tear because of a woman.

He pushed it back and it was like alcohol thrown into the soft parts of his inner self as he crawled in pain and anguish.

It was not her fault after all. Who wants to leave with a scumbag like him.

Even his parents rejected him at birth. He grew up in a foster home and at some point had to beg to be fed until he finally got a job.

A slight sigh escaped from his lips.

While he continued to walk away, the rain gradually dropped down from the sky, shocking him to his skin but he didn't care as he was lost in so many thoughts.

He heard a strange patter of feet behind him and he turned around slowly to see who it was only to notice that

He turned around slowly to see who it was, only for him to notice that it was the guard that he met initially and this time, he was not alone.

"What do you want from me?" He inquired.

"What do you think that we want from you? Putting you in your place of course." He glared at him.

Due to the hard work that he had to go through every single day, he had a great body structure but there was no one that he could win all of them alone.

It was just way too impossible.

But it was better for him to die than for him to stand there and watch himself being beaten up by a group of thugs.

They launched at him kicking him at every single side while he tried to wade them off but there was Certainly no way that he could do that.

They continued to beat him, bursting his lips until he started bleeding from every single part of his body.

"Maybe this is going to be my humble end. And even though murder was enough, no one would notice when someone like him died. It was more like social cleanings."

He was already staggering and the Last pounce was already advancing swiftly towards him, one that could have put an end to his life forever.

But instead, it was held by a really strange force.

Ethan could not help but look helped slowly, his heart pounding hard against his chest as though it was going to burst through.

But he could hardly see anything before him because his blood-clotted eye eyebrowed his views.

"What do you think that you are doing? Do you want to kill him?" He heard a voice overhead him but he was really confused.

"And who do you think you are?" The guards sneered back at him but the stranger only Smiled.

The others seemed to notice who it was as they gradually fell backward slowly, free guards advancing from the car.

"Don't you think that I should be the one asking that question?"

For the first time, he noticed that badge that was on the car on the man and he noticed that he was the heir of the richest man in the City.

The Grafton business group.

He shivered knowing fully well that he would be getting into a whole lot of trouble getting into any beef with him.

Turning around, he noticed that the others that he came along with were already far gone.

Seeing that he was alone, he broke into a swift run.

The stranger fell towards Ethan with sympathy in his eyes.

"What did you ever do to them to warrant such inhumane treatment?" He mumbled.

But Ethan was so weak that he could hardly say a single word.

"Young master, you are not fine. We have to?" His assistant wanted to say but he stopped him.

"Get me a new shirt in the car. He must be really cold." He muttered and the assistant walked away

He tried to help Ethan change into the new clothes but then something really strange happened.

He noticed the birthmark on his back and his Lips broke down in shock.

For a moment, he was frozen on the spot where he squatted.

Fresh tears flowed down from his eyes as he stared at the man that was right before him trying to hug him but realized that it was only going to curse him with more pain.

"Son?" The words flooded out of his mouth.

The words rang in Ethan's head for a while and he was really confused. "Why would a total stranger be calling me son? When am I an orphan?" His weak self could not restrain his thoughts.

"Or did I hear wrong?" He thought again.

This time, his head was light as though he was going to die. He could already feel the heavens open, and he was fighting hard with his death.

He heard yells but could hardly make meaning out of it as he slammed to the floor and passed out.
