"Actually, there's no need to go through all this trouble." Ethan stepped forward.

"What's wrong, our dear son-in-law?" one of the women, Phoebe, asked warmly.

Ethan was quite the catch himself. However, his words left everyone frozen in place. "In fact, the Moore family hasn't helped us as much as you think. The reason they partnered with Elite Group today is that their patriarch is seriously ill. I happened to come across an ancient remedy that eased his condition, so the Moore family owes me a favor."

"When they asked what I wanted, I simply said I wanted a sky full of roses and a necklace. Beyond that, I didn't ask for anything else. Now, that favor has been repaid, and the Moore family is unlikely to assist us again. In fact, Morgan Moore probably won't even talk to me anymore, considering I'm just a nobody. " Ethan shrugged, "So, the partnership between Elite Group and the Moore family ends here. If you want to collaborate on development, you won't achieve much."

"No, it can't be." Piper shook his head vigorously.

"How can it not be? Explain this: why would I, a useless person and a mute, have the heir of the Moore family, the rulers of Panama City, personally call me Mr. Ethan? That was just a courtesy. Once the favor was returned, he wouldn't even spare me a glance, after all, I'm just a useless person." Ethan continued.

"Yes, I am a useless person."

"This!" Piper suddenly questioned everything. He had traveled a long way, even bringing his father, Wyatt, the head of the Thompson family, and purchased so many things just for this collaboration. Now, to be told that the collaboration was off?

"You traded the favor of saving the Moore family head for a few roses, a cheap necklace, and a 'Mr. Ethan?" Piper stared at Ethan in shock.

"Uh-huh." Ethan nodded.

"Ethan Blackwood, I used to think you were just a useless worm in the gutter, but I never imagined you were also a fool. You had such a great opportunity and you exchanged it for those things. You're truly a waste, a fool-no, worse than a fool, you're even less than a waste." Piper spoke with barely contained rage.

He had already believed it. The others, upon hearing this, were equally furious, especially Phoebe. "What was I thinking, calling you a good son-in-law? Pfft! Someone like you doesn't deserve that title. You're a worthless fool! Ha, fools belong with fools. That's a match made in heaven, a perfect couple!" Phoebe's tone dripped with sarcasm.

When she mentioned "fools belong with fools," one was clearly referring to Ethan Blackwood, and the other was undoubtedly Jasmine.

"Give me back my stuff! You don't even deserve to use it," she snapped. As for Dylan, he stormed right up to Ethan Blackwood and snatched back the watch he had just given him. That watch was worth several thousand dollars!

This fool, this waste of space, had no right to wear it!

Wyatt's face was twisted with anger. He felt he shouldn't have come here at all. He shot a glance at Jasmine and said, "The daughter of a loser is just as useless. You've blown such a great opportunity. Elite Group will never grow strong, it'll be lucky if it doesn't go bankrupt. No, it's definitely going to fail." With that, Wyatt stormed out, clearly furious.

He didn't want to stay for even another minute. Piper Thompson and the others left as well, but they didn't just leave; they took back the gifts they had just given the beauty jade and the Dior clothes leaving nothing for Jasmine.

They didn't want to leave her anything at all. As they were leaving, the young Dylan Thompson even mocked, "Elite Group? A tiny little company that will never grow big. Ha ha..." Their laughter was filled with scorn and arrogance.

Indeed, the Nion Group was a major player. How could Elite Group possibly compete? Once they were gone, the hall fell silent. Jasmine turned to Ethan and blinked her almond-shaped eyes.

"Did you bluff them?" There was no way he hadn't helped. So many orders, funding, and those three top talents. Ethan just smiled and replied, "What do you think?" It was a mix of truth and exaggeration.

He had indeed saved Liam, which led the Moore family to repay him. However, there was one thing that was different: the Moore family was quite afraid of him now and was still atoning for their past actions.

He was afraid of upsetting him. The reason for this was simple: saying it this way would make the Thompson family reconsider their cooperation with the Elite Group.

As Ethan Blackwood downplayed himself as a loser, he was simultaneously leading the Elite Group to surpass the Nion Group step by step, leaving the Thompson family members utterly confused.

"Did you do this?"

"No, I'm just a loser."

"Right, you're just a loser, but why is our group going? This scene was quite amusing, wasn't it? Why go for a quick kill? Instead, it was better to slowly push Jasmine his own wife-into a corner, making them go from disdain to shock, then to disbelief, and finally to despair.

To the point where they wouldn't even know what was happening. It was all about the slow torment. "You really are something. Guess what? I won't." Jasmine pouted.

"Oh, by the way, after dinner, when I go upstairs, I need to tell you something."

"Sure." Ethan nodded. Just then, Salome finished cooking and came out, looking around. "Where is everyone?"

"They're all gone."Jasmine Thompson replied.

"Ethan Blackwood, you're on dish duty later," Salome said as she stepped out, glancing around to confirm something before speaking.

She had heard everything from inside. This Ethan Blackwood seemed to be someone who owed a favor-once it was settled, that was it, no strings attached. So why should she be afraid of him?

"Okay," Ethan nodded.

Sure enough!

Salome felt a sense of relief. This Ethan Blackwood was still the same old loser. Afterward, Ethan finished washing the dishes and headed upstairs.

By the time he reached the top, Jasmine had already finished her shower. She was wearing a sheer white nightgown that revealed her fair skin, delicate and soft as if it could break with a touch.

Her long, silky black hair, freshly washed, cascaded down on either side of her face. Her small face was breathtakingly beautiful. "Sweetheart, when you called me up here, were you hinting that I could finally sleep in the bed tonight instead of on the floor?" Ethan asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice as he approached her.

Is he really going to jump on him?

Should he?

Ethan was eager to take action. However, Jasmine shot him a glare. "No, that's not it. I just want to officially tell you something. Today, it was all a misunderstanding on my part that led to that situation. We're not at that stage yet, are we? Besides, I've never been in a relationship before, and I don't want to rush into anything like that."

The Main Thirteen Needles-this technique was buried deep in their memories. Among them, there were practitioners of both traditional medicine and Western medicine, as well as those who were skilled in both. However, when they heard about the Main Thirteen Needles, they were all taken aback. This was a technique recorded in ancient texts that had long been lost to time. It was something their master's master had once spoken of. Once the needles were inserted, if one looked closely, they could vaguely see the character "Main" emerging. The Main needles seemed to work as one, guiding the body and blood to flow along this character, beginning to revive. The blood started to surge. Suddenly, Adrian Jackson spat out a mouthful of blood black blood, pure black, clearly indicating stagnant blood. Afterward, Adrian's expression relaxed. He no longer felt the discomfort he had before. "This... this is how the stagnant blood was forced Out!" The three elderly men stood frozen in p

"What!" Holland Brigg's, who was on the ground nursing his hand with a look of despair and anger, suddenly heard those words. His expression changed dramatically as he struggled to get up and looked at Ethan Blackwood. "Are you serious?"Ethan Blackwood didn't want to explain himself. In the next moment, Briggs realized that it was likely true. This guy had the ability to heal his master. After all, Liam had been cured by him. If he could heal his master, then he could save him. But instead, he was here causing trouble. "Mr. Ethan, I, Holland Brigg's, was wrong this time. Please, Mr. Ethan, don't hold it against me. Just punish me; my actions have nothing to do with my master. Do whatever you want with me. Please, you have to save my master." With a thud, Brigg's dropped to his knees in front of Ethan, bowing his head in apology. Bang! Bang! Bang! The ground shook with the sound of Briggs forehead hitting the floor, a visible blood mark appearing on his skin. Ethan B

What! The Moore family members were taken aback. "How dare he, Briggs!" Liam slammed his hand on the table in frustration. Uncle Adrian, also known as Adrian Jackson, who was still nursing his serious injuries nearby, looked equally confused. Why was his disciple here? Just then, a furious voice rang out from the doorway: "Liam Moore, you old fool! I heard my master was seriously injured, and yet you had the audacity to invite that injured person into the Moore family and even host a banquet for him!" With each word filled with anger, a group of men dressed in white martial arts uniforms entered, led by a middle-aged man brimming with vitality. His fists looked incredibly powerful, capable of easly taking down a professional security guard with just a few strikes. Surrounding him were a dozen or so men, clearly his disciples, who followed him in. Bang! After kicking a security guard aside, Briggs Holland turned to Liam and said, "Liam Moore." "What do you mean, Ho

"I have feelings for you, but even though we've been living together for four years, it's really just the beginning, isn't it? I want to give you a chance. I think, over time, I will truly come to like you, but not right now." "This angel heart necklace... I think I should keep it for now. I don't want you giving it to another woman. If one day I really do fall for you, then l'll wear this necklace and show up in front of you. How does that sound Jasmine peeked out, her eyes sparkling with a hint of hope as she asked. "Sounds good," Ethan nodded, though a pang of pain shot through his heart. He understood the reason behind her hesitation. Jasmine had lost her father in a car accident during college, making her the eldest in her family. She had always acted maturely. She had focused on her business studies and had never been close to any other boys. Perhaps he was the first. Because of that, she was inexperienced in this area, and at that moment, the powerful CEO felt like a li

At the back of the room stood an elderly man, around seventy years old, with a somewhat stern expression. This was Henry Thompson, the head of the Thompson family, also known as Wyatt. He stepped forward, intending to greet Jasmine Thompson, but she remained motionless, which made him want to explode with anger. "Niece, call me Grandpa," Piper Thompson, her uncle, urged. "Grandpa? Haven't I been disowned from the family? What right do I have to call you Grandpa? Don't you think?" Jasmine replied coldly. Yes, she had been disowned. Her entire family had been struck from the family tree. Call him Grandpa? Ha! "Uh... what happened back then was a misunderstanding. We were reckless, we were reckless.." Piper quickly interjected. At the same time, he shot a glance at Wyatt. Wyatt frowned, clearly reluctant, but still said, "Yes, a misunderstanding." "Niece, please let us in. It's not right to wait out here at the door, is it?" Piper continued. That makes sense!
