Evelyn nodded, feeling a bit relieved that her son had a chance. She then asked, "What about relationships?”

Cordelia shook her head and explained, "I remember when I was in Senior High, I liked someone, but that was all. It all stopped at once. I stopped liking the guy and didn't bother making him aware. Evelyn shook her head and advised, "My dear, you aren't a kid. You must create a family sometime. If I may ask, how old are you?"

"I'm 27, aunt," Cordelia replied.

"Oh, my son is 24, meaning you're three years older than him. Even if so, you both are a good match," Evelyn remarked.

Benjamin gave a small nod.“Welcome,” he said calmly. “I guess you’ve already been informed about the change of ownership?”Isabella Marquez nodded respectfully. “Yes, sir. I was notified immediately.”Benjamin turned slightly toward Cordelia and leaned closer, lowering his voice so only she could hear.“I want to make some changes here,” he whispered. “Kindly help me.”Cordelia blinked, surprised. “Me? Why not just do it yourself?”Benjamin shook his head lightly, a faint smile touching his lips. “No. I want you to do it instead.”Cordelia looked at him for a moment, then nodded slowly. “Okay, then.”She shifted off Benjamin’s lap and stood up properly, turning toward Isabella with a composed expression.“Excuse me,” Cordelia said politely. “How many working staff do you have here?”Isabella straightened slightly, professional to the core.“We have different departments,” she replied. “Hotel services, restaurant staff, security, housekeeping, administrative staff, and technical teams

Leon’s jaw tightened, but he had no reply.Inside the car, Edmund’s voice dropped, slower now, heavier.“While I was on my way here after your call,” he said, “I received a call.”Leon frowned. “A call from who?”Edmund exhaled quietly.“From a billionaire,” he said. “From his mother.”Leon scoffed instinctively. “Dad, you’re also a billionaire. Why would another billionaire—”Edmund turned sharply to him.“There are billionaires,” he said calmly, “and there are billionaires.”Leon went silent.“I am not on that level,” Edmund continued. “And you know it.”He paused, then said the name slowly:“Evelyn Hayes.”Leon’s throat tightened.“That woman,” Edmund went on, “is considered a goddess of wealth and power. People whisper her name in boardrooms. Some say she operates on the same level as the Saudi royal families or the Rothschild.”Leon gulped.“She’s so wealthy,” Edmund said quietly, “that if she decided to buy a country—and was serious about it—she could. Some nations’ GDP wouldn’t

Upstairs, inside the hotel room, the girlfriend paced nervously while the young man sat on the edge of the bed, jaw tight, eyes dark with humiliation.“Leon, please,” she said softly, moving closer. “Don’t be annoyed.”He didn’t respond. She touched his arm gently. “Your dad might have just been in a bad mood,” she continued, trying to soothe him. “You know how he is sometimes. He probably didn’t mean to embarrass you like that.”Leon clenched his fists. “A bad mood?” he muttered bitterly. “He slapped me. In front of everyone.”She sat beside him, forcing a small smile. “It’ll pass. He always cools down. Tomorrow, this will all feel smaller.”She leaned closer to him, her tone softening.“Leon…” she said again, brushing her lips lightly against his cheek. “Don’t let it get to you.”He turned his head slightly, still tense, and she took the chance. She kissed him gently, slower this time, lingering just long enough to distract him from his thoughts.“Why don’t I go take a steamy shower

  • Chapter 509: Owner of Hotel Arrives

The older man stopped in front of him, his sharp eyes briefly scanning his son’s face, then the surrounding area—the scattered crowd, the broken glass still visible deeper inside, the uneasy staff.“What’s going on here?” he asked, his voice calm but heavy with authority. The son gestured back toward the dining area. “I’ll show you,” he said quickly. “Some people are causing trouble.”The young man walked alongside his father, his voice rising as he spoke, anger mixed with exaggeration.“Dad, that guy over there,” he said, pointing toward Benjamin, “he came in here causing trouble. He insulted my fiancée, broke expensive wine bottles, and then started acting like he owns the place.”He shook his head, scoffing. “He even hit me—for no reason. And when I tried to handle it calmly, he started bragging, saying he wanted to buy the entire hotel. Like it’s some kind of joke.”He added quickly, layering the story with more heat, “He’s been rude to the staff too, and he’s refusing to apologiz

He leaned forward slightly, studying Benjamin’s face, trying to find the crack—the bluff.“You?” he asked. “You want to buy my hotel?”The lady laughed too, stepping closer to her fiancé, clearly enjoying the attention.“Did you hear him?” she said loudly, looking around the room. “He wants to buy this place.”She waved her hand around dramatically. “Do you even know what’s in here? The restaurant alone pulls insane revenue. There’s the private dining wing, the event halls, the suites upstairs, the brand value, everything.”She scoffed and crossed her arms. “This hotel is worth tens of millions. Even more, depending on valuation.”She looked Benjamin up and down with open contempt. “You couldn’t even buy the parking lot here, not to talk of the whole place.”A few people nearby nodded unconsciously, others whispered.“Yeah, that’s crazy…”“He’s just bluffing.”“No one says that so casually.”The lady leaned closer, lowering her voice mockingly. “So please,” she said, smiling cruelly,

They bumped into each other.”He glanced at the broken bottles, then back at the man. “You know what—forget the argument. I’ll pay for the wines. As a matter of fact, I’ll pay double for them.
