Chapter Thirty-Six: Outside world (part seven)

**Flashback**

Standing by the side of a building in the dead of night were several military men who held their weapons firmly and kept watch around an armored vehicle.

They all looked like they were waiting for and also not waiting for something or someone.

From the near distance, a man clothed in a black shirt and gray trousers, slightly visible, walked up to them.

As he got closer with each step, his boot thudded the ground silently as he tried not to draw attention to himself, his men, who were also clothed in black, trailed behind him.

They too had weapons of their own as they walked alongside the man.

The minute they got in front of the vehicle, the headlights were turned on, temporarily blinding them.

Soon, a military man, who looked like a commander, came out of the vehicle and got in front of it with several of his men.

As both groups of people stared at each other with no one uttering a word yet, the military commander breathed into the cold air.
