However, before Victor could control Sophie, she had walked up to him in anger.

“What are you doing here?” She asked.

“The same reason you are also here”

“If you are here to beg me, I wouldn't take you back. I am happy in my new relationship!” Sophie said firmly.

Alec laughed shortly at first and burst out laughing. Everyone thought he was really crazy. Crazy enough to think that what she said was funny.

“Alec hasn't really changed a bit. He still follows Sophie like a puppy”

“I can't believe that he would attend this party to ruin our mood.”

“All the men here contributed money to make sure that our Queens deserves the treat here but Alec, being the loser that he is only shows up to eat. It only shows that he is nothing but a loser still”

“Who gave him the card? I thought I was told that he wouldn't be able to enter because he couldn't afford ordinary transport to the venue of getting the cards?”

The more Alec heard the statement, the more he laughed. He wasn't angry but he was happy he was being talked about. That way, he was in the spotlight. He could even afford to gift out money. That way, he would earn his reward quickly. He thought and continued laughing uncontrollably.

“He is crazy!”

“He is already permanently silly”

“You know that feeling that comes when your mates are in a higher level than you and you can't get there, it makes one crazy!”

Alec eventually stopped laughing.

“I am not here for you”

“Really? You must be kidding. We both know you can't do without me. You're still off. You haven't changed!”

A part of Sophie knew that something about Alec was off but the bitterness that she spent so many years with him and there was nothing to show for it couldn't let her think so sharply.

She was intelligent and Alec could testify to that.

“Like I said, I am not here for you. You aren't even up to my taste”

“Awwwww”

Everyone screamed out. They obviously were enjoying the scene. Who would have thought that the two poor lovers of then would look down on each other that much?

“Not up to your taste?” Sophie asked and laughed sarcastically.

“Who wants to be with someone like you? I regret ever dating you!” Sophie spat out while Alec smiled. He wasn't here for her after all.

“But don't you think he looks a bit different?” Someone asked Sophie as she sat down in anger.

“Looks more different in poverty!”

“I thought you guys were lovers?”

“We broke up a long time ago!”

Only her know how much she badly wants to dissociate herself with this man!

“Alec, it's obvious you are not looking so rich after all these while. Would you like us to make some donations for you?” One of the men asked. It was obvious that sarcasm was laced in his voice.

Alec cared less about that as he started getting bored of the party. It seemed like it was a party that was intentionally organised just because they wanted to know the status of everyone.

Not saying anything else, he walked out of the party and was about to enter his car when he saw some ladies gushing over it like some sort of a gold.

Somehow, it didn't take so long before most ladies rushed to admire the car including Sophie.

Alec became so much disgusted when it seemed like it was being touched too much. He didn't want any scratch because the car was like a baby to him.

Instantly, he pressed on the button, jerking the car back to life. They instantly turned around in shock.

“Are you the owner of the car?”

“Obviously” Alec said proudly as he walked towards his car.

They had look of confusion on their faces as they stared at him. How on earth did he get such money?

“Your parents are so poor that they could barely eat in a day and you are not well to do either. Where did you get the money from?”

“Surely it's from his boss” Someome concluded.

“Alec, we both know that you were fired days ago and now, you own a car?” Sophie asked and scuffed. She was really sure that it was nothing but a showoff and besides, no matter how much Alec twisted the situation, he was still very much in love with her.

“Oh darling, didn't you ever know that I had been rich all these while?”

Oh my! Was that why he had questioned her the day she broke up with him, asking if she wouldn't regret her decision? This man must be moving mad for telling great lies to him! She thought in fury.

“Of course but we were bestowed a certain amount of money only to be unlocked by me!” He said and left immediately, getting more bored while they all looked at him in awe.

Alec made his way back to the hotel immediately as soon as he left, racing speedily, leaving behind other cars. He had another thought in mind. Since he badly wanted to spend the amount he had so much within him, Alec thought of what else to do. The system hadn't said anything ever since they had a first contact. He badly wanted his reward.

Soon after, Harrison who wanted to have a good favour in the presence of his boss walked up to Alec as soon as he noticed that he was around and lowered his head.

“Sir, would you like me to give you a feedback of everything after you had left? I will gladly do that” He said.

Alec was about to dismis him when two staffs walked up to him.

“Sir, there is a commotion at room 105. One of the staff had an issue with the customer and demands that she meets with the new owner of the hotel” The staff said hurriedly.

It was his time now and he wouldn't let any staff or customer tarnish that. One of his aim was to make sure that his hotel rose up like a giant.

“Let's go there!”
