“We don't want you in this company again. Get out of here” The HR of Goldberg manufacturing company said as she looked at Alec Baldwin in disgust. She had never seen someone as irritating as him in her lifetime.

Not once or twice had they lost a contract all because of him. He dressed so shabby and was always on repetitive clothes which seemed like a dent to the company.

Often times, all because of him, the company would make sure to gift out clothes to each workers to wear on specific days but Alec would prefer his tattered blue shirt on black blacks and worn out shoes.

“But what have I done?”

“This is the fifth time we are losing a contract and it's all because of you! We can't keep paying you since our efforts are fruitless” The HR said in anger.

“But it isn't my fault.”

“Please let me have my job back. I promise you that I will change” Alec pleaded.

He needed this job to pay off his girlfriend's school fee and if he didn't get it, he was doomed for. This was the only way he could keep his girlfriend.

But Sheila, the HR cared less about that as she typed a contact on her phone and dialled a number. Instantly, Alec walked out of the company. He knew that she was about to call the security.

At that moment, his phone rang which disrupted him from what he'd seen. It was his girlfriend, Sophia. The only thing that gave him joy even though she seemed like she was giving him attitude for a while.

“Hello dear” Alec said and smiled.

“Where are you? I need to talk to you” She said harshly.

“I am right in front of my company.”

“Oh, there you are!” Alec heard a voice, he turned around to see his girlfriend.

“Babe, what are you doing here? I am not expecting you today?” Alec said and smiled.

Sophia scuffed instead.

“Let's break up”

“What do you mean by that? Are you sure that you would never regret your decision?”

“Regret my decision of being with a poor man that can't afford to take care of my needs? Are you crazy? Huh? See this bag? I got it from XXX” Sophia said.

XXX was one of the fastest leading brands that dealt with bags and shoes. Only the wealthy could afford it. He knew that was what Sophie had always wanted all these while but he couldn't afford it. Her fees were too expensive after all.

“But I love you, Sophia. You are the best thing that ever happened to me”

“Well, you are the worse I have ever come across with*

“Is it because of that man?” Alec asked. He knew she was flirting with the HR's husband for a while now. And they seemed happy together.

“What's your business if it is? What matters most is that I don't love you anymore. You're broke, ugly, wrinkled and stupid. You have nothing to offer me. I curse the day I met you” Sophia said. It broke Alec's heart because this was a woman he has spent his all on. In fact, because of her, he didn't have anything good to place himself.

“Here's the stupid ring you gave me!” She said, threw it to his face and walked out of the company. Alec looked at the HR's husband from a distance. He could see him smirk as he walked towards while he gave him girlfriend a peck.

“Don't take so long”

Apparently, Alec heard what she had discussed with her new lover.

“Hey”

“What do you want? You have my lover already” Alec said, feeling so much heartbreak.

Alec had been with Sophia for five years. They'd met in college when they both had nothing. Even though Sophie had let Alec know that she would never let him touch him, he still respected her decision of waiting till they got married.

“She was never your lover and we have been together for over five years now.

“What?”

This was the same year that the HR got married to her husband and the same year he met Sophie.

“She's beautiful. I love her and want nothing more than to fuck everything in her.”

That broke Alec's heart.

“And you think she would give you a chance to do that?”

“What do you think? We did it last night”

Alec laughed sadly. Sophie lied to him for five years? She claimed she'd never been touched by any man.

“I claimed her innocence five years ago!”

However, he wasn't sure he could withstand everything that had happened to him as he suddenly developed a heart attack which he had been battling with since he was young.

Few hours later, he'd had his eyes opened to a luxurious hospital room which he had never been to in his lifetime but something felt wrong somewhere. He seemed to be hearing things within him.
