Mr. Famous's face gleaned. "Yes! Should there be a problem?"
Emily blinked with a sense of disgust twisting it's way into her stomach. The rest of the family went into the Villa while Quinn remained in the waiting room. "Grandpa, tell me this is a prank. It's someone else right? I mean I can even accept a farmer if he is well to do. Not a pathetic looking one." Her voice tightened. "Dead people don't tell jokes and I am already closer to that." Mr. Famous said gravely. Emily squeezed her hands tightly. She never wanted to get married to someone that she didn't even know in the first instance, talk less about someone who looked like they had just been picked off from the gutters. "He is poor, stinks, and has no future ahead of him! I can't get married to him. I believe if we give him a good amount of money, he would break the agreement without blinking." With a firm stance, Mr. Famous shook his head. "I have already made my decision, Emily, you are getting married to him." A glitter of rage flashed through Emily's eyes as she attempted to walk out of the room. However, Mr. Famous could cough loudly, gripping tightly to his chest. Quickly, Emily, together with the rest of the family rushed forward towards him, while his breathing stumbled. "Grandpa. Are you okay?" Emily inquired with a worried face. "If you don't get married to him. I would not." Emily's hands palmed her face. She could not be responsible for her grandfather's demise. "Okay." Her head dropped over her shoulders in a defeated stance. Mr. Famous's face brightened. "You should get registered today." A wave of shock ran through the hall. "Grandpa?" "Is there any problem?" His brows were raised. "No. There's not." She frowned a sighed before walking off from the room. She sprouted off from the room and met Quinin still sitting. After having been informed, they went off to the district registration headquarters. "After we are registered." "You mean married?" Quinin continued walking without a hint of emotions to his face. "Registered.. We would leave our separate lives. Only acting like we were married before my grandfather. You have no business with my private life. Consider this, strangers with mutual benefits. If you dare break any of these rules I will break your head." Quinin nodded his head, expressionlessly. When they got into the office, stares flickered at them as they stood to get their registration. "He's the bodyguard? Or..." Embarrassment rushed through the whole of Emily's being. "He's the one that I'm getting married to!" She returned. "Oh! I would have never noticed. I would need your names and your details..." A deep voice cuts through the halls. And a manly frame stood in between Emily and Quinin. His face cut into a smirk as he stared at Emily. "Hello, beauty. I was walking down the halls." Emily cuts into his speech. "Cool. Happy married life." Emily said with raised brows. "Oh no. I'm not getting married. I'm here to save people of your nature from their terrible marriage life." The stranger stated. "Where's your supposed husband!" He stared around in search of Emily's fiancee, his face not even landing on Quinin for a moment. "Are you too dumb not to realize that her fiance should be standing beside her?" Quinin said calmly. Finally, his eyes stared at Quinin. A hint of amusement rushed through it. "That makes it better. It would be easier for me to get you wouldn't it!" He smiled. Emily frowned deeply. She might hate Quinin right now. However, she wasn't going to sell her dignity to just anyone. "As you can see, we're here to get registered." "That doesn't matter!" Vince gripped Emily's hands tightly until it burned bright red. "You're coming with me!" He said, holding her hands tightly to get her away from the hall. A small crowd had gathered to watch. Most of them were happy that someone was bold enough to drag the damsel away from the farmer. However, he could not move another inch. He turned around catching a glimpse of Quinin holding tightly to his hands. "Are you courting your death? Let go of me right this instant." Vince roared. "Why should I? Because of your little bark!" Quinin seemed to remain unfazed by the words. "Because you don't want to know what I would do to you if you don't." Vince's eyes deepened with rage. Quinin immediately lets him go and a smile cuts through both sides of his ears. The weight of a thousand tons of disappointment instantly fell on the crowd, especially Emily. "I can't believe that he would let the woman that he is getting married to go just like that!" The crowd hissed. "Let him be frightened. He was never worth the beautiful damsel if you ask me!" Another commented. The noise that ran through the hall was immediately halted by a loud bang. It happened so fast that most people didn't know what had happened. They could only see Vince at the other end of the room, sizzling with pain, rendering them all breathless and fazed. He drew Emily back and focused on the agent. "Can we get on with the registration now?" She nodded her need swiftly with her eyeballs still out from their sockets. When they were done, Vince brought his cell phone from his pockets, placed a call, and three dozen guards with a trademark imprinted into their clothings. immediately appeared in the room. Hearts shifted. Everyone recognized the logos. It was from the third most powerful man in the City. Mr. Han. A cold chill ran through Emily right from her legs. She recognized who the young man was now. He was the visiting son of Mr. Han who had been away from the country for quite a while. Seeing the shock on her face, he smiled. "Now you recognize who I am now, right?" Emily could barely move her stiff lips to speak.

Quin intended to end the call, but hearing the words from the Medical director, he couldn’t get himself to do it. But that didn’t make him break his silence. He just listened to hear more. Harry sniffled for the umpteenth time. “Please, Doctor Quin. We are tired of losing anymore children, we don’t want any more to die. Adults are not left out, so many bodies are piled up in the morgue. You need to help us, you have to help us.”Quin grunted. He wanted to get some rest, but it appeared that he was going to have to change his plans. It was impossible to ignore the plea of the middle-aged man when they had already lost a lot of lives.“What do you want me to do, Mr. Lopez?”“We need you to come to our City at once, Doctor Quin! We will make sure that you are compensated for your services. You have my word.” Quin nodded. “I will be on my way then.” He said calmly and ended the call before the middle-aged man could say any other word. He got ready to leave for Pinewood City, packed ev

The documents contained a list of all those Amber’s father had managed to pay. There were over fifty of them, and the amount was over five hundred thousand dollars. Quin shook his head. “Your father is quite terrible.” He said, and then he returned the documents to her. Amber sighed. “He has paid all of them, I promise you. Please come save him, I beg you.” She still had tears in her eyes, and it didn’t look like she was going to let them trickle down her face at any moment.Quin took a glance at Nam, and as soon as he saw his eyes turning toward him, he looked away.Nam was still struggling with the guilt that surged into his body, and looking at Quin’s eyes was going to make it more intense. Quin returned his gaze to Amber. “Your father is a lucky man, Amber. He is very lucky.” He growled, unable to hide the disdain in his eyes.Amber said nothing. She knew that her father was a terrible person, and no matter what Quin said, he deserved it. She hoped that Quin was going to take

It had just been a day since Quin went to the Minister’s residence to heal his son, but that seemed to be enough to get Elliot out of office. He received a call that sent him out of the office, and it was more confusing because he couldn’t find out who was responsible for it. The citizens of Eastside were jubilating. It appeared that it was the liberation they had been hoping for, to be set free from the hands of such a tyrant who was called the Mayor of the City. That afternoon, he was preparing to leave his office after he received the call from the President of the country. With a box in his hands, and his two guards following behind him, he sauntered along the hallway that led out of the Mayor’s office, not certain of how he was going to deal with the massive crowd outside. Quin found his way into the building and emerged in front of Elliot. “Last day in office.” He said with a smirk on his face, and then he scoffed. “I am sure you never thought that today was going to be the

Sabina took a while before she managed to respond.“He came home from the holidays and started complaining that his chest was burning up. We took him to the hospital to get him checked, but they said that he was fine and we brought him back home. A few days later, his situation became worse, and he has needed to be on oxygen since then.” Sabina sobbed again, but that didn’t stop Quin from asking the question he had in mind.“How long has he been like this?” He asked, but it looked like the Minister’s wife was still not able to get a grip on herself. Modric had to answer on her behalf. “It’s been over six months, Doctor Quin. He has been this way since the beginning of this year.” He sighed in despair the moment he turned to face his son. Quin nodded. “This is not something serious, Minister. But I have a condition before I attend to him.”“Anything, Doctor Quin! Anything at all, consider it done.” Modric said loudly, and his wife supported him with a nod. Quin sighed. “Are you sur

Quin maintained a suitable distance while he drove behind the men. He knew that the Minister must have sent for him because he needed him to cure someone if not he himself, but also needed to be very careful. They were going to be driving out of Eastside and going to the neighboring City. But it was just a thirty-minute journey, and Quin had already made up his mind that he was going to see the end of it.Eventually, they arrived at the Villa of the Minister of Defense. Quin parked at the garage just like every other person who drove into the vicinity with a car.His car was far better than the majority of the cars parked in the garage, but that was not what he had in mind.He remained inside his car while he looked around. The mansion was not just tall, it was very beautiful, and it was obvious that the interior was going to be more wonderful. The two men who had been sent to get him had already alighted from the car they had come in, and seeing that Quin had refused to come out

Quin remained standing while he stared at the men one after the other.“Do I know you?” He asked, convinced that he had never met them before. The men shook their heads one after the other. “You don’t know us, Doctor Quin. But we know you. We have heard so many good things about you.” One of the men said, staring at Quin with a smile. He expected Quin to be delighted with what he said, but since he didn’t know who they were, he didn’t know how to react to what he heard. “What do you want?” He asked, unable to hide his eagerness to leave. “We need to talk, Doctor Quin. Will you be kind enough to go with us?” The other man who had not yet spoken pleaded, but Quin said nothing.“Please, Doctor Quin.” He pleaded.“This is very urgent.” His partner added.Quin took a deep breath. “You two are yet to identify yourselves. Do you expect me to go with you wherever you want because you pleaded with me?”“Not at all, Doctor Quin. But this is very important. It is a matter of life and death.” T
