Nothing. So she slowly steps outside and closes the door behind her, stepping under the protective shelter of the staircase. The rain continues to pour on, even heavier than before.

Suddenly she hears loud, thunderous footsteps coming from her right. She looks over and catches sight of Daniel running out into the street. The rain suddenly stops and the air grows quite humid. Regina takes a couple of deep, calming breathes and tries to control her breathing as well. After a minute she hears the sound of tires rolling on wet concrete. She turns her head to look in the direction where she heard it and she freezes in place as she realizes what’s happening.

A car is speeding down the road, heading straight for Daniel. She watches as it speeds up and approaches him. She can hear the engine revving loudly as it gets closer and closer to him.
