It was like a hangover after a raging night party. Their heads were aching and their eyes were heavy, so much that they couldn't make out were they were. It was as if they had too much of 'that good wine' and the choking smell in the room made things worse.

"This smells like Nega" Orie groaned as he managed to get up

"What's that?" Shiro asked as he also stood up

"It's actually a 'who" Orie replied

"And he's the king of Dahüd"

Slowly, everyone recovered from the drowsiness and were able to see clearly. Before them was a man sitted on what could only be described as a throne.

It's cushions were pure black and every other part of it was made of gold. The man sitting on it was just as magnificent. His skin was gleaming dark, the brown in his eyes were as the middle part of a sunflower, and his hair shot straight up and was flat at the top. There was no jewelry on him but the mere sight of him brought gold and diamonds into one's thought.

Just by looking at him, one could tell that he was no ordinary person. From the shoes he wore to the cigar he smoked, the only thing they could think of addressing him as was "BOSS"

With a smile he looked at them and said in a very calm and relaxed voice "I'm John Joseph Jamal Jnr"

"But you can call me Nega"

There was silence for about a minute and everyone just stood stunned in admiration. It lasted until Orie made a move broke the silence.

"Negaaa!!!" He said in a low crooked voice as he walked to the king with his hands wide open his knees pointing in different directions, leaving a wide gap in between his legs.

To the surprise of everyone, the king, Nega stood up did same thing walking towards Orie. When they got to each other, they shook hands and hugged while the others stood in a daze.

"How you doing?, market boy" Nega asked as he hugged Orie.

"I see you're still calling me that" Orie replied with a smile

"Anyway I'm doing doing fine" he added

"Sorry for game situation" Nega said apologetically as he pulled away from the hug.

"We were supposed to turn it off" he added

"Don't worry about it" Orie replied

   "I kinda enjoyed it"

   "So... What's the emergency?"

Meanwhile, the others were murmuring to themselves about the entire situation.

   "Wait a minute" Shiro said

"Do they know each other?" Mia asked

"He's a very mysterious fellow" Natsumi commented

"He knows a lot of gods so kings shouldn't be a problem"

   "By the way" Yamato said

"Doesn't thas guy have a familiar aura?" He asked

"I feel like I'm powerless in his presence"

"Like I need his permission to do anything at all as far as I'm in his domain"

"Now that you've mentioned it" Shiro said

"I kind of feel the same" Mia added

   "Isn't it obvious?" Victor said

"The child we protected in the game is the same person standing with Orie"

"You can even tell by nickname"

"The name 'NEGA' is not just for show"

   "So" Orie said

   "What's the emergency?" he asked

Nega was silent for brief moment, then he answered.

   "The thing is," he said

"One of our fellow priests is dead"

"And there is something strange about his death"

SHIN SEKAI SECRET: Mia lived in Victor's house all her life but she didn't know how they were related.

"well, Mr Addison" Ellie said as the camera faced Orie. "What are your thoughts on the current state of the match?" "I'm really not sure" Orie replied "To be honest, this is the first time I've seen Her like that so I don't actually know what to expect" "But if I had to take a guess..." "... I'd say I'm glad she wasn't like this in our match" Natsumi missed her first strike, and her second, and her third, and her fourth, and... all her strikes, she missed all of it. As it turns out, Kurobe had quite the reflex and was really good at evasion and keeping the distance. Every time Natsumi got close, he quickly evaded and put distance between them, pushing her back, attacking from blind spots, setting walls between them and a Whole lot of moves that prevented him from getting hit but that didn't stop his opponent from trying. With each passing second, Natsumi got closer to landing a hit on Kurobe. At first it was him feeling the little breeze as her fist fle

  • Cold hard truth

Many things can anger a fighter. An opponent that toys with them, someone that just won't stay down and in many cases, a direct insult. But none of those things were happening to Kurobe, he was facing something far more annoying; an opponent that isn't paying attention to him. At first glance, it looked like Kurobe was dominating the match without giving his opponent any chance to counter, but there were many times since the beginning of the fight where Natsumi would have been able to strike back but did nothing instead. She had barely moved from where she was standing at the start and she was in deep thought. All Natsumi did from the beginning of the match was to fend off the incoming attacks while thinking about what Orie had said to her. "I have finally seen your true self" "I finally know you" She couldn't muster up the courage to ask him what he meant because she was too afraid of his answer. She was afraid of the truth. "If the real me is a monster...

  • Tears of a beautiful summer

Orie was finally on the offensive. His wind blasts weren't doing much damage but they were strong enough to throw his opponent off balance and disorganize her attacks. He was able to close the distance bit by bit with each successful blast and every one of them hit. Before Natsumi could tell what was going on, Orie was standing directly under her. "White" orie said with a smile as he looked at her from below, then he spun his staff and struck the floor with it. Natsumi immediately turned to guard against it but no wind came from Orie's direction, it came from above and pushed her down. As Natsumi struggled to stand up, Orie began walking towards her and spoke. "I wondered why my prayers weren't working on you" "It would stop you for a brief moment then she'd take care of the rest by will power" "After this encounter, I think I finally figured it out" "The reason why my prayers don't work and who you are" "You are Natsumi" "You are not a spirit tha
