The cake looked very good on the eye. Its many layers and its fragrance pulled Rebecca’s eyes and nose.

She just broke a tiny piece and tasted it. “Mm, not bad.”

A peon came to check every cabin to collect the paper bowls in which the cakes were delivered. Every cabin had dustbins, but the peon still asked everyone.

Eventually, he came to Rebecca’s cabin. “Ma’am, you still haven’t eaten the cake?”

“You can take it.”

“Me? No, no. How can I eat your cake?” he shook his head.

“It’s better than throwing it in the dustbin,” she replied.

“Then I’ll take it,” he took the cake and went away.

Moments later, Cavin came to the peon and asked, “Did she eat it?”

The peon shook his head. “I think she only ate a little piece at the edge.”
