134: The boomerang effect

The Thompsons had been finding it hard to get a prosecution. They promised Jen that she would never be able to afford a lawyer as far as they were still alive, but it seems their word was starting to have a boomerang effect.

Any place they went to, any law firm they visited, any prosecutor they went to, all of them refused to take on their case. It was frustrating, and earlier that day before, they finally got a positive feedback from a law firm they contacted to handle their case but at the end, it turned out to be from some group of young, non famous, inexperienced prosecution.

That was not what they wanted. They needed a big and reputable law firm that would fight the case and win without stress. A big name that would even scare the defence counsel.

The only dual lawyer that they had in mind was unavailable, which was Derek Wilson. As they learnt about that, they decided to go for the disciples under him. They discovered that the only person next to Wilson was Kingsley Quince.
