Felix, already done with his bath, heard her shouting but ignored her completely. In fact, he acted like he hadn’t heard a thing.
"Hey, dickhole! Have you gone deaf or something?!" Meq growled from her room. Still, there was no response from him. "Someone needs to put this harlot in her place. I’m not her pathetic slave anymore," he muttered under his breath, smirking to himself. Left with no choice, Meq cuddled Dice, petting the baby until he fell asleep. Her face was tight with fury. How dare he ignore her? That wasn’t like him at all. Once Dice was sound asleep in his cot, she stormed downstairs. She threw open his door and began to hurl insults at him. "What the heck has gotten into you? Were you not the one I was talking to upstairs? Huh?! Don't start thinking too highly of yourself cause you're just a wretched poor thing I pulled out of the trash!” Felix, now dressed with his shirt half-buttoned and hanging open at the collar, looked up slowly. "Huh? Were you speaking to me… or to ghosts?" he asked icily as he glanced sarcastically around the room. That single response hit her like a slap. Combined with the mockery in his eyes, it left her speechless for a moment. She furrowed her brows, wondering what gave him the audacity to do that. "Wait, was it me you just gave that response to?" She questioned incredibly. "No… it was for the crazy person standing in front of me," he replied, lifting a brow coldly. Her big eyes went wider that they almost fell out of their sockets as she became even more surprised. Was this really Felix Drake? The same loser she knew?! He noticed her shock and scoffed as he buttoned his sleeves. Boiling with rage, she raised a hand to slap him, but he caught it in the air. "Don't even dare." He tossed her hands away. "And by the way… 'Miss.' Yes, I called you miss. Since, according to what I heard today, we’re not married, you’ve got no right to raise your hand at me,” Felix stated coldly as she gazed at him from head to toe, completely blindsided. This is so so so not FELIX DRAKE! Her face was blood red from anger as she barged out of his room, picked her purse and slammed the door on her way out of the house. Felix stood there for a moment, stunned by his own words. It wasn’t like him to talk back or even stand up for himself. Where did that courage come from? Maybe… his father. He felt like a huge burden had been lifted over his shoulders after finding his father. As if he knew he was thinking, a message beeped into his phone as he opened it and read it. "Let’s meet up, son. My driver will pick you up." Wait... His father? But how did he get his number? He didn’t dwell on it. Felix quickly stood up and went out of the house. He couldn't risk letting anyone know about his true identity. He saw a black Porsche driving towards the house as it halted the moment it spotted him. He advanced towards them, and two men in leather jacket and pants stepped out and bowed respectfully. The driver followed, dipping his head as he opened the back door. Felix felt flattered. He wasn't used to such dramatic scenes. It felt like he was a King that was being served by his guards But kept his expression stoic, squared his shoulders, and stepped into the car like he belonged there. The Porsche car started, and tore down the streets of MoperVille City. As they moved further, he noticed they were taking an unfamiliar route. Probably the outskirts? The car finally diverted left and a long driveway came into view. At the sides of the driveway, the beautiful vineyard of the Kim's estate stretched into the horizon, intensifying the beauty of the place. Felix looked ahead and saw the soaring skyscraper that extended far above the massive gate to the building. The gate opened slowly to reveal an opulent estate, sprawling farther than the eye could see. His jaws dropped and eyes widened. The length of the mansion was roughly 10,000 square metres or more, he guessed. The width of the whole estate extended far that he didn't even see the end. The building had a large circular fountain at it's front and a beautiful bold inscription at its peak, "KIMBER KIM'S FORTRESS.” "Welcome, Young Master. This is your first time in your home. All bow to the Master.” Felix entered the building and was received by the smiling Butler, Butler Dec who was standing the door side. Suddenly, a long line of staff formed on either side of the grand foyer: security personnel, gardeners, cleaners, chefs, maids, valet and more, putting Felix in the middle. They all bowed 90° to who just stood frozen in awe. What… was happening? Where is he? No, what on this Earth was he? Was his family that rich? Obviously, he was asking a stupid question. He didn't need a soothsayer to confirm it. "We are all happy to see you again, Young master Kim. Here, we should go in now,” Butler Dec said, motioning for him to enter. As he walked in, the employees dispersed off to their various duties, each wearing a smile at the arrival of their long, lost Young master. … “Holy heavens!" Felix's mouth was wide agape, his eyes running around the house. The interior was even more breathtaking. Two massive crystal chandeliers, one gold, one silver, illuminated the entire European-style mansion. The dazzling specks of lights danced off the furniture. Almost all furnitures were made of gold. There was even a golden statue of a little boy at a corner. Some stuff didn't even know the names of were everywhere. Everything sparkled with absurd luxury. He’d never imagined a place like this could exist. If the outer part was beautiful, then the interior will be perfect. "Young Mas—" Butler Dec’s voice snapped him out of his daze. Felix quickly adjusted his posture, trying fruitlessly to compse himself. He suddenly felt too underdressed to sit. His worn clothes were out of place among all this gold. With the way he looked, he didn't even fit for a cleaner in such a place. "You may sit. The master will join you shortly," Dec said with a slight bow, then excused himself. He didn't have the courage to taint the seats with the rags he put on, so he stood, still admiring the place "My son!" Felix turned as Kimber Kim strode toward him, arms open. "Welcome to our home, boy!" the man exclaimed, pulling him into a tight hug. His face was filled with smiles and fatherly love. Felix returned the hug. Finally, he saw one thing he was familiar with. Felix first broke the hug, still overwhelmed. "Dad… are you really this rich? Everything’s gold and other expensive materials! It’s like another universe in here." Kimber Kim laughed and gestured for him to sit. "Relax. Take a seat, son." Felix sat, albeit stiffly. "You’ve forgotten everything, haven’t you?" Kimber sat down gently. "Don’t you remember? I’m a Quadrillionaire." "What?!" Felix sprang up from his seat, slightly scaring the old man. Felix couldn't keep acting calm and composed anymore. "Yes, Felix. Haven’t you heard of Limbed Co., Hess Power Co., and Harriboard Corporation?" Felix nodded slowly. "Those are owned by the richest man in MoperVille…" Kimber smiled. "That would be me." Felix’s eyes welled up slightly. "You’re that man?" Kimber Kim reached across the table and took his hand. "And you, son… are the heir to every bit of my wealth I’ve earned in this world.” Felix eyes widened hearing what he said. He couldn't believe it. He was going to be A Quadrillionaire's Heir! The mere thought overwhelmed him. He never expected any of this to happen. From a worthless thing who once slept on floors to a Filthy rich man. As in, in a blink of an eye, he had suddenly become a vieux riche! All the wealth of the Kim's was going to be willed to him and handled by him. He was going to be the most respected and honoured man in the city, taking over from his dad. "Son, for now, we are going to keep your identity a secret; till the empire’s anniversary when you will be announced as my son and the heir to Kimber Kim's wealth.” "Whoa. Dad all these seems like a dream to me. Infact, I don't dare have such a dream... I mean, I thought I was just a bastard with no parents, not knowing I had a father out there. Even though I thought of it, I never expected that you'd be so wealthy." Kimber’s expression softened. "It was all my fault for letting you into trouble in the first place. People are out there watching for you, son. You own everything because someday I will be gone." Those words touched Felix's heart. He hadn't gotten all his memories yet and it hurt him a lot. But one thing was clear: he wasn’t powerless anymore. He heaved a sigh as he suddenly recalled how badly he was always treated by his wife and her family. Being treated like her nanny and houseboy. His mood got even worse when he remembered what happened the day before. How his wife cheated on front of him and still denied him. He suddenly came up with a plan. "Dad… I have a request." "Anything, son." "I want you to buy A.X. Corporation." Kim raised a brow. "That’s all?" Felix nodded confidently. "Yes. That’s all I want… for now." However, he has made his firm resolution— REVENGE. …Latest Chapter
217: Nothing.
The night bled into dawn before they even realized. The rain had stopped already. He did not return.*Felix stood at the warehouse gates, his eyes scanning the ground. They decided to come back to East Valley city and search the fight scene again. He found Jake’s phone smashed against a crate. Blood, though they were just small dots, had dried near the wall. But that was it. There was nothing else.“Are you sure this is the spot?” Kimber asked, his flashlight cutting through the dim light.“Yes.” Felix’s voice was flat. “This is where he fought Mark. I can feel it.”The guards spread out, sweeping the area. The place was spotless. The hundreds of bodies that had fallen were gone. The crates were neatly restacked and the floor was scrubbed clean. It was as if nothing had happened here.“Damn it!” Felix kicked a metal barrel. The clang echoed into the distance. “They cleaned it up! Everything! Every fucking trace!”“Son,” Kimber said softly, “don’t—”“No!” Felix cut him off, frustrated
216: Where’s Jake?
Back at the warehouse, Silas ripped open a sealed door leading to an escape tunnel. “Path clear!”“Go!” Shadow ordered. The seven of them began retreating through the tunnel, covering each other as they went.Felix looked back one last time at the chaos, the blood and the smoke. His heart was heavy as blood flowed from his thigh. He didn’t mind taking hits. He would do everything possible to protect his Elsa. They disappeared into the tunnel, leaving behind a burning warehouse and hundreds of fallen soldiers. They burst out of the back of the warehouse. Rain poured down in sheets, soaking their clothes and making the ground slick."Fuck." Felix bent over, placing his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. His lungs burned, his arms ached, and blood dripped from a cut near his jaw. Everyone else looked just as wrecked, groaning. Their faces were smeared with dirt, blood, and sweat."How did that bastard manage to hire top-class mercenaries, for one girl? And just to keep abus
215: Got you
Something suddenly clicked in his head. He tapped his comm. “Phantom, Shadow, overhead lighting, now!”“On it.”Moments later, every light in the warehouse shut off completely and everywhere became dark.Phantom moved like a ghost in the pitch black, his night-vision goggles flickering green. Gunfire broke out but Mark’s men didn’t even know where it came from. One by one, their rifles became silent.Shadow was pure death in the dark. Every step he took was silent. You only knew he was there when you heard a body drop.Felix’s mind flashed back to the orphanage. He remembered the cold floor. He remembered the hands that shoved him. The boy who took each blow and kept counting breaths. Felix pushed that old fear into his fists and let it go. He never wanted to be that small again. He spun, ducked, and tackled a shooter who tried to attack him. Just as things were turning in their favor, a drone hummed overhead and a pale light scanned the floor. Phantom cursed. “Fuckkk. Those are dro
214: was he missing something?
Gunfire exploded from above as Phantom opened fire from the rooftop, covering their flank. Shadow rolled behind a crate, pulling out his knife. Silas and Xander dove for cover, returning shots. Jake grabbed Felix by the collar and yanked him down. “MOVE!” Bullets tore through the walls, sparks flying. Mark ducked behind a pillar, laughing even as chaos erupted around him. “Welcome to my world, Felix!” Felix’s teeth clenched as he raised his gun. “Then let’s end it.” The warehouse became a war zone. He ducked behind a pillar as they fired at it, sparks flashing near his face. “Positions!” he shouted over the chaos. “Take cover and return fire!” “On it!” Xander’s voice came through. The lieutenant’s son rolled across the floor, flipping up his rifle. “Shadow, left flank!” Jake barked. Shadow was already gone. The former mercenary slipped through the smoke and vanished behind stacked barrels. Six men came running at him. He slit one’s throat in a blink of an eye, caught
213: I own your eyes now
The sound of Mark’s laughter echoed across the warehouse, bouncing off the cracked walls like a nightmare that refused to die. Felix stood in place, every muscle in his body ready. Jake’s hand twitched near his gun. The others spread out, forming a loose semicircle around Mark. Something was off about Mark. He definitely wasn't the same spoilt brat he knew months ago. “Been a long time, Felix,” Mark stepped closer. “Ahhh...Who would have guessed that the Carlos' houseboy was the son of the quadrillionaire? I was so stupid to not have noticed.” Felix’s eyes darkened, clenching his fists. He didn’t like getting reminded of that. “You haven’t changed at all.” “Oh, I have.” Mark tilted his head. “You just don’t like what I’ve become.” “You mean a stalker?” Jake growled. Mark smirked. “Big words from the guard dog.” Jake’s jaw flexed, but Felix lifted a hand slightly, stopping him. Mark chuckled, his gaze sliding back to Felix. “You know, I still remember the orphanage whe

Shadow straightened. “That’s him?” Jake didn’t blink. “It’s him.” Xander leaned forward. “You sure?” Jake nodded. “Positive. I’ve seen this bastard too many times in the footage. Same height. Same wrist mark.” The Reaper tilted his head slightly. “Where was this taken?” Jake’s fingers flew again. “EastValley city, near an old warehouse district. The cameras caught him three nights in a row, between midnight and two a.m.” “Pattern,” Shadow said simply. “Yeah,” Jake breathed. “He’s staying somewhere near there. Maybe an apartment, maybe a hideout.” The room went quiet for a second. Only the whir of the computers filled the air. Then Silas spoke. “We’ll move tonight.” Shadow hesitated. “We don’t even know what’s inside that warehouse—” Reaper gave him a cold look. “We’ll find out.” Xander cracked his knuckles, a grin flickering across his face. “It’s been a while since we stretched our legs.” Phantom looked up from his earpiece. “Already scanning the area.
