By the time Felix got home, it was late in the evening and as expected, Meq Carlos was nowhere to be found. After a long shower, he took care of the baby.

As much as he wanted to ignore the child, Dice had nothing to do with his problems. The poor baby just had the misfortune of being born to a mother like Meq.

Just as Felix was just about to settle in for some well-deserved rest, still reeling from the shocks of the day, a loud roar stopped him.

"FELIX!!!"

Sigh… Damn it.

It was none other than Kate, his so-called mother-in-law.

He dragged himself into the living room and found Kate painting her nails. Typical Kate Carlos.

"You called, ma’am?" Felix asked in a neutral tone, his hands tucked casually into his pockets.

Kate looked up, surprised by his demeanor. Their eyes met, and for the first time in a long time, Felix didn’t look away. He held her gaze steadily. Something was different about him today.

Previously, he couldn’t even stand in her presence without trembling, but now… he looked her right in the eye.

What the hell came over this idiot overnight?

Kate was tempted to scold him for his newfound boldness but instead cut straight to the point.

“There’s nothing to eat in this house. Go make something for me,” she ordered, still dripping with entitlement.

Not to disrespect her, Felix nodded but without shivering or being afraid as before.

“All right. What would you like to eat?” he asked, raising a brow.

"Hey! Will you get your filthy hands out of your pockets?! I'm talking to you! Are you insane?!!!”

After listening to whatever Kate had to say, Felix rolled his eyes and removed his hands from his pockets.

“Happy now?” he said with a smirk, then turned and walked into the kitchen, leaving a dumbfounded Kate staring after him.

"What the..."

Felix prepared a plate of meatloaf and ketchup, served it to her, and returned to his room.

He then lay down on his bed, thinking about the events that unfolded right in his eyes today.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed. A message from P****l lit up the screen.

"An amount of $20,000,000,000.00 has been credited to your account."

Felix sprang up immediately he saw the contents, his eyes flew wide open.

He nearly screamed but managed to slap a hand over his mouth just in time.

What in the actual world?!!

It wasn't $20,000.

Nor $20 million.

TWENTY. BILLION. U.S. DOLLARS.

A whopping sum of 20 billion US-dollars!!

Then a call came in from an unknown caller as he answered.

“Son, have you seen it?” came the deep voice of his father, Kimber Kim.

"Ye... Yes... Yes, dad... That's way too much!!!" He stammered in his speech, voice full of disbelief.

“Oh, come on, son. What I sent you was just chicken change. Use it as pocket money for now. Also, I’ve already bought the company.”

Felix’s heart pounded as he beamed. “Thanks, Dad… I really appreciate it,” he said, his voice almost breaking with gratitude.

“Enjoy your day,” Kimber Kim said, then ended the call.

Felix stared at the balance again to be sure he wasn't daydreaming.

His life had just taken a wild turn.

After a few minutes, he received a text message from the number which he saved as, "Father”

“Boy, I forgot to add something. There’s something about that company you need to know.”

A second message followed immediately:

“Let’s meet at my villa. I’ll have someone pick you up.”

---

Casa Grandeur Villa

Under a blanket of blooming white stars reflecting the dark sky, a black car sped along the quiet outskirts of MoperVille and pulled into an exclusive gated villa.

Casa Grandeur was the most famous, upscale and trend-setting villa complex in MoperVille City. Mountains and rivers surrounded the area and blessed it with exceptionally beautiful scenery.

Felix stepped out briskly, halting when he saw the same butler from the other day, dressed in his formal uniform at the entrance.

“Welcome, young master. The elder master is waiting for you on the terrace.”

He directed Felix to the posh terrace at the side of the building. There, he saw his father, legs crossed on a curved designer sofa, sipping a cocktail while flipping through a folder.

“Good evening, Dad,” Felix greeted. Kimber Kim looked up, smiling as he set down his glass and papers.

“Hey, son. You’re here already,” he said warmly, standing to ruffle Felix’s hair.

Felix sat beside him. “Yeah, Dad. You mentioned there’s something I need to know about the company?”

“Yes, Felix.” Kimber’s face turned serious. He handed Felix the folder.

“I ran a background check. There’s someone inside A.X. Corporation working for a spy connected to one of my firms.”

Felix’s eyes narrowed. “Huh? A spy?” He read the contents of the paper, then looked back up. "Have you found out who this person is?... And the spy?”

Kimber shook his head. “Not yet. But if we can find the person working for the spy, we can find the spy, and then we can trace them back to the real enemy. I can't wait to get done with all this and teach that motherfucker a lesson he will live to remember in hell!”

Felix continued to read through the documents in silence as his mind worked. Then, he came up with something and immediately turned to his father. “Be a liar to catch a liar, be a spy to catch a spy."

"Huh?" Kimber Kim frowned, not understanding his son's parables.

"Dad, what if I go undercover and work at A.X to catch the spy myself?”

Kimber’s eyes lit up. “Ohh… that’s perfect! That’s my son speaking!” His tone brimmed with pride, causing Felix's face to flush a little.

“Thanks. I’ll go in as an intern.”

“Good. You’ll start tomorrow. My COO, Scott, will handle everything,” Kimber said, referring to his right-hand man, Scott Hitler.

“Got it, Dad.”

They chatted for a little more while, enjoying the cool breeze in the starry night until it was time to bid goodbye.

  • 213: I own your eyes now

The sound of Mark’s laughter echoed across the warehouse, bouncing off the cracked walls like a nightmare that refused to die. Felix stood in place, every muscle in his body ready. Jake’s hand twitched near his gun. The others spread out, forming a loose semicircle around Mark. Something was off about Mark. He definitely wasn't the same spoilt brat he knew months ago. “Been a long time, Felix,” Mark stepped closer. “Ahhh...Who would have guessed that the Carlos' houseboy was the son of the quadrillionaire? I was so stupid to not have noticed.” Felix’s eyes darkened, clenching his fists. He didn’t like getting reminded of that. “You haven’t changed at all.” “Oh, I have.” Mark tilted his head. “You just don’t like what I’ve become.” “You mean a stalker?” Jake growled. Mark smirked. “Big words from the guard dog.” Jake’s jaw flexed, but Felix lifted a hand slightly, stopping him. Mark chuckled, his gaze sliding back to Felix. “You know, I still remember the orphanage whe

Shadow straightened. “That’s him?” Jake didn’t blink. “It’s him.” Xander leaned forward. “You sure?” Jake nodded. “Positive. I’ve seen this bastard too many times in the footage. Same height. Same wrist mark.” The Reaper tilted his head slightly. “Where was this taken?” Jake’s fingers flew again. “EastValley city, near an old warehouse district. The cameras caught him three nights in a row, between midnight and two a.m.” “Pattern,” Shadow said simply. “Yeah,” Jake breathed. “He’s staying somewhere near there. Maybe an apartment, maybe a hideout.” The room went quiet for a second. Only the whir of the computers filled the air. Then Silas spoke. “We’ll move tonight.” Shadow hesitated. “We don’t even know what’s inside that warehouse—” Reaper gave him a cold look. “We’ll find out.” Xander cracked his knuckles, a grin flickering across his face. “It’s been a while since we stretched our legs.” Phantom looked up from his earpiece. “Already scanning the area. “He’s been texting me… weird, scary stuff. He says he’s watching me. Sometimes he describes what I’m wearing, or where I am.” Felix’s hands clenched into fists on the table. “Why didn’t you tell me?!” He couldn’t believe that bastard had the guts to start stalking her again. His face went red from anger. “I didn’t want to worry you,” she said, voice cracking. “You already have so much on your plate, and I thought maybe if I just ignored him, he’d—” “Elsa!” His tone was sharp now. He tried to control it, but he was still furious underneath. “He’s stalking you. That’s not something you keep to yourself!” Her eyes stung with tears. “I know, I just—” He leaned forward, his voice low but trembling with anger. “If anything happened to you—” He stopped himself, shaking his head. “You should have told me the second he texted you. I don’t care how small you think it is. Anyone who scares you, ANYONE, becomes my problem!” The intensity in his voice made her chest ache. He cared so
