By the time he got home, it was late in the evening. And as expected, Meq Carlos was never around. He took a shower and did the honour of taking care of the baby.

Inasmuch as he wanted to ignore the child, Dice didn't have anything to do with his problems. He just had the worst luck, being born to a mother like Meq.

Just as he was about to get his good-evening-sleep and recover from the shock he received today, a loud roar stopped him.

"FELIX!!!"

Sigh... Oh, damn. It was none other than Kate, his so-called mother-in-law.

He walked into the living, and met Kate painting her nails. Typical Kate Carlos.

"You called for me, ma," Felix said in a casual tone, his hands tucked into his pockets.

Kate looked up and saw his behavior. Their eyes met but Felix kept staring into her eyes. There was something different from Felix today.

Before, he couldn't even stand in front of her without looking down but now, he was looking directly into her eyes which he was afraid of doing for a very long time.

What came over this idiot overnight?

Kate felt like yelling at him for the new behavior but just decided to say the reason why she called him.

"There's nothing to eat in the house. Go prepare something for me to eat," Kate ordered, still acting bossy.

Not to disrespect her, Felix nodded but without shivering or being afraid as before.

"Alright, so what do you want?" Felix raised a brow.

"Hey, will you get your hands of your pocket!... Am talking and your shitty hands are inside your pockets?! Are you insane??!!!"

After listening to whatever Kate had to say, Felix rolled his eyes and removed his hands from his pockets.

"Happy now?" He smiled to Kate then went into the kitchen leaving a dumbstruck Kate on the couch.

"What the..."

...

Felix prepared a plate of Meatloaf and Ketchup for Kate, served her and went to his room.

He, then lay down on the bed, thinking of the events that unfolded right in his eyes.

Suddenly, a message beeped into his phone from P****l.

"An amount of 20 billion dollars has been credited to your account."

Felix sprang up immediately he saw the contents, his eyes flew wide open.

He almost screamed out loud in surprise if not for his hands that were covering his mouth.

What in the world!!

It wasn't $20,000.

Nor $20 million.

A whopping sum of 20 billion US-dollars!!

A call came in from an unknown caller as he picked it.

"Son, have you seen it?" Came the deep voice of his father, Kimber Kim.

"Ye... Yes... Yes, dad... That's way too much!!!" He stammered in his speech, voice full of disbelief.

"Oh come on son, what I sent to you was just chicken change. You should use it for the meantime as your pocket money. Also, I already bought the company."

"Thanks... thanks a lot dad. I do appreciate it," his face was full of smiles.

"Enjoy your day," Kimber Kim smiled then cut the call.

Felix stared at the balance again to be sure he wasn't daydreaming.

His story had finally been changed.

After a few minutes, he received a text message from the number which he saved as, "Father"

"Boy, I forget to add something, there's something about that company you need to know."

Another one came in immediately.

"Let's meet up at my Villa. I'll get someone to pick you up."

...

Casa Grandeur.

Under the white blooming stars reflecting the dark sky, a black car was moving speedily along the outskirts and entered into a somewhat exclusive Villa.

Casa Grandeur Villa was the most famous, upscale and trend-setting Villas in MoperVille City. Mountains and rivers surrounded the area and blessed it with an exceptionally beautiful scenery.

Briskly, Felix walked towards the Villa and halted when he saw the Butler from the other day, dressed in his formal uniform, at the entrance.

"Welcome Young master. The elder master is at the terrace waiting to see you,"

He directed Felix to the posh terrace at the side of the building where he saw his father, legs crossed in a curved sofa, sipping a glass of cocktail while going through some papers.

"Good evening dad," he greeted Kimber Kim with a smile as the latter raised his head as he dropped the glass and papers on the cocktail table.

"Hey son, you're here already," he stood up, a wide grin forming on his old face as he patted Felix's hair.

Felix took his seat beside Kimber Kim, "yeah dad.... Besides you said something like there's something I need to know about the company?"

"Yes Felix." Kimber Kim's expression turned serious as he sat down, then tossed the papers he was reading to Felix.

"I did a background check and found out that there's someone in A.X. Corporation working for the spy at one of my companies."

"Huh? A spy?" Felix frowned and read the contents of the paper, then looked back up. "Have you found out who this person is?... And the spy?" He asked and Kimber Kim shook his head in the negative.

"If we can get that person working for the spy, we'll be able to get the spy and hence, the main enemy. I can't wait to get all these done with and teach that motherfucker a lesson he will live to remember in hell!"

Felix thought for a while then came up with something. He immediately turned to his father, "be a liar to catch a liar, be a spy to catch a spy"

"Huh?" Kimber Kim frowned, not understanding his son's parables.

"Dad, what if I work in that A.X to catch the spy?"

" Ohh... That's perfect!... You know you're just like me!" Kimber Kim's tone was full of proudness for his son, causing Felix's face to flush a little.

"Thanks..."

"I will be working there, as an intern in the company"

" Alright that will be okay, You should start your work by tomorrow, my COO, Scott will handle everything." Kimber Kim said, referring to his right hand man, Scott Hitler.

"Sure, dad."

They chatted for a little more while, enjoying the cool breeze in the starry night until it was time to bid goodbye.

He could feel her reaching into his pockets as he returned fire, the sound of gunshots ringing in his ears. “Don’t tell me you didn’t bring me a spare gun! What am I going to use?!” Elsa shot at him when she noticed his pocket empty, her eyebrow raised in disbelief and a hint of frustration on her face. She felt like slapping him for forgetting something so important, her annoyance mixed with adrenaline. Felix glanced at her, guilt and exasperation on his face. He wanted to kick himself for not being more prepared. “Never mind,” she waved her hand sharply and began looking around the cluttered room for something that could help. He didn't see any sign of Diane Fox among the wealthy and glamorous guests. He frowned slightly and discreetly waved over one of the nearest Vasley employees. He leaned in close so he could be heard over music. “Excuse me, have you seen Miss Diane? I didn't notice her with the Fox family earlier.”The worker shrugged without much interest. “Last I saw, she ran off the moment she got in. Probably hiding and crying in one of the empty sitting rooms, if you ask me.”Vito frowned in thought. He quickly sent a short message to Felix:“Diane is missing from the main event. Employee thinks she's hiding alone in an empty room. Let me know what you want to do next.”After sending the message, Vito put
