Joe Maiden hurriedly bowed, "Sorry, Young Master. I have never lied."

"Then what did you say just now, huh?" Brian gave an annoyed expression.

"Young Master, I apologise. Although Mr. Alfred Jones also works at J-Corporation, it doesn't mean that you will always meet him."

"Joe, you told me earlier that I would meet him. So, which one is true?" Brian sat with his arms crossed as he gave his new secretary an exasperated look.

"You and Mr. Alfred are not on the same floor, Young Master. You will only meet Mr. Alfred on certain occasions such as important meetings."

"Different floors? Are you sure?" Brian tried to confirm.

"Yes, Young Master. Would you like to go to the company to see him?" Joe Maiden looked very excited.

Brian replied quickly, "No. Not now. Not now."

"After you get the DNA test results."

Brian would have retorted but he couldn't. As a man he couldn't possibly tarnish his own honour by breaking a promise he had made.

The next morning, a doctor brought Brian's DNA test results. When he read the results, he was stunned.

"99.99% match."

Joe Maiden widened his smile, "Just like what I said."

"You are Mr. Simon's biological grandson."

Brian gave no response.

"So, are you ready to go to J-Company, Young Master?" Joe Maiden looked so hopeful.

Brian certainly couldn't avoid it anymore, so he had no choice but to agree.

"I will prepare all your needs immediately."

In just ten minutes, all of Brian's needs were ready. Brian was led to wear a luxurious, high-quality suit. A male servant helped him choose a watch that was certainly not cheap.

The shoes were also carefully selected by Joe Maiden. In addition, Brian's hair was also neatly styled. Plus, Joe showed him dozens of luxury watches with various famous brands and fantastic prices.

Brian only chose randomly because he didn't want to linger.

After everything was done, Brian Jones was stunned when he saw his own appearance in front of a large mirror.

Was it really him?

Where was the poor, shabby, dirty young man?

Why did he now see only a handsome young man who was so clean and tidy?

"You look very handsome and dashing, Young Master." Joe Maiden looked proud of his ability to make his young master look so charming and charismatic.

"I look like the grandson of the richest man in the world." Brian made an offhand comment but Joe strangely laughed.

"You are indeed the grandson of the richest man in the world, Young Master."

Brian twisted around and was really happy as if he was wearing such light clothes. He could move around comfortably.

"We're leaving now."

"Yes, Young Master."

Joe Maiden selected a limousine for the vehicle he would use to take the young master to J-Company.

"Joe, who should I meet?"

"The managing director and also your secretary, Young Master."

Brian chose to remain silent during the journey that took no more than five minutes.

When he arrived in front of the J-Company building, Brian looked at the very tall building.

Never had he dreamed that the company with dozens of floors belonged to his grandfather who now had ownership transferred to his name.

Joe Maiden directed the young master into a separate lift.

Brian was a little surprised. "Why we use this lift?"

"This gold-painted lift is reserved for executives only, Young Master. You and the directors."

Brian chose to ask another question. "What floor is my father's cousin on?"

"The 24th floor, Young Master. You are on the 25th floor. The 25th floor is only occupied by you."

That explanation made Brian Jones quite relieved.

As soon as the lift opened, he was greeted by several bodyguards, two female employees and also a middle-aged man who Brian guessed was the managing director Joe Maiden had referred to earlier.

"Welcome, Mr. Jones," they greeted him simultaneously.

Brian nodded.

"Damian Clayton. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." He extended a hand towards Brian and Brian welcomed him.

"I'm Chloe Lawrence, your secretary, sir."

"Brian Jones."

"Thank you. Can we just talk?" Brian said as he looked at Damian. He didn't seem to want to linger there.

Damian quickly nodded in understanding.

The grandson of the J-Company owner must be very busy. He was so happy that he had the opportunity to meet with Brian Jones.

Brian entered his grandfather's rrom as Joe had directed.

Once he was inside followed by Damian, he asked for the door to be closed.

Meanwhile, outside the room, the two young women looked at each other.

"He's so handsome." Jessica, Damian's secretary who forgot to introduce herself, looked amazed.

"I couldn't agree with you more. But, unfortunately, he is still very young. Do you think he has finished his studies?"

Chloe looked thoughtful, "From her very young-looking face, I think he's still studying at university."

"Oh, then what about this company?" Jessica began to worry.

Chloe clucked her tongue, "What are you worried about? He may not have graduated from university yet. But, he's Simon Jones' grandson, so of course he knows what he's doing."

"I hope so." Jessica nodded.

But then she began to feel anxious, "But, I'm worried that Mr. Alfred will interfere with him. You know he's very ambitious to get this company."

"Who doesn't know that? When the news of Mr. Simon's death broke yesterday, didn't he say in the media that he would probably inherit all of Mr. Simon's assets?" Chloe was exasperated.

Jessica added, "It turns out that Mr. Simon's grandson showed up, I'm pretty sure he must be furious."

"He must be-"

Chloe couldn't continue as they suddenly heard the lift door bell open.

Alfred Jones stepped out of the lift along with two of his bodyguards.

Chloe swallowed hard.

As Alfred Jones made his way to the door of the CEO's office, two guards stopped him.

"I'm sorry, sir. You can't go inside."

Alfred glared in annoyance. "What do you mean, you forgot who I am? How dare you confront me!"

"Please forgive us, sir. We're just following orders."

"Orders? Orders from whom, from my insolent nephew?" Alfred was furious. His face had turned red.

Alfred went forward again but the two main guards were still blocking him.

"Are you looking to die? I just want to see him. Move aside!" Alfred snapped loudly.
