Chapter 1

History

"A Century ago in this Bacein. There was a bloody war that killed countless warriors. Two warring factions called Toset and Kablan. We can say Toset was on the side of power while Kablan was for peace in the world.

Each faction had three clans. Skargaz, Toro and Kempo clans for Toset who were really greedy and killers of peace.

They were never whole human back then. However, Kolan, Zake and Skaletta clans were the heroes forever even now.

After the war ended with the victory of Kablan in the sacrifice of the Kolan clan, all the clans were scattered over the nations and had their own lives instead of thinking about the war again that cost their loved one's life.

Now all those clans are called Mafia clans or somewhat underwo.....Vito!", the bald white skinned professor with a grey mustache, chubby cheeks, snubbed nose, dressed in light blue and a suspended leather holder across his shirt with a name label on his sleeve 'Riktor Gorr' who is triggered and snaps out his finger against a young tall male student who has a brunette quiff haircut with his clean shaved tan skin and a grey uniform, peaky nose, being sleepyhead during the lecture of Professor Gorr.

Riktor takes a black filthy duster from the board and throws it at Vito which hits his head like a bullseye board.

Vito gasps out of fear and wakes up quickly while speaking out of his mind, "Shut your ass up, Goalie!".

The whole classroom turns as silent as a space in the Milky Way until the professor breaks the silence, "Is this place applicable for sleeping and speaking reckless words, Mr Vito Skaletta?"

Vito shakes his head and grits his teeth, "No, sir. I am very sorry for this. I won't do that again, I promise and what was the lecture again?"

The whole class busts out of laughter following his words before the professor raises his index finger. They get quiet and Riktor points his finger against the board that shows a chalk-written topic 'The Second Nation War'.

Vito grits his teeth and nods his head quickly, "I am very sorry for not noticing that sir. Please pardon me".

Professor scoffs strongly and gives him an evil glare, "First, you slept during the lecture, and then you forgot what the topic was. That's not something a student shall have in themselves, and this is not the first time to spare your inconsistency, Vito Skaletta. I hereby give you 3 hours of detention during the soccer tournament. I hope this will give you the motivation to focus on your study."

Vito gasps and shakes his head stiffly, "No, please, sir. Don't do that, I promise I will not sleep. I will be focused, please, it's my hard-earned tournament I got there, please, sir"

Other students in the class laugh at him as a young male of blonde flow haircut, grey eyes, with his fair olive skin tone, straight nose and oval shaped jawline, speaks up who seems to be a handsome one of them, "Well, seems like someone gonna cry like an infant", the whole class laughs out.

Professor eyes that boy and frowns deeply, "Seems like someone wants to share the part of the punishment from the football guy... You are detained for 4 hours, Nasaf Skargaz".

Nasaf grits his teeth and sits down silently to avoid further penalties from Professor Gorr.

A young girl with a light brown beehive hair cut, a fair skinned, round black eyes, thin lips with a roman nose and a curved eye brows, who is known to be the most talented female student of Professor Gorr gets up as she is apparently shy before speaking up, "Sir, I would like to speak if I may."

Professor turns to her, "Oh, dear. Isn't that my favorite student, Mariada Reis? Speak.", he leans backwards to relax and eyes her with curiosity as he knows that she isn't much of a public speaker.

Mariada takes some moments to breathe and nods, "Sir, with due respect, I believe he should go to the tournament instead of having detentions. This time I will take responsibility for his issues. I hope he will not do that again."

Everyone in the classroom goes silence at her words.

Vito turns to her in surprise before shaking his head, "Mariada? Why are you helping me?"

Mariada blushes and looks away from him to hide her face as she did not talk back out of her shyness since she loves him secretly that Vito do not know.

Bullies in the class began laughing at him before one of them stands tall who seems chaotic and chubby with a bald head among them, a label on his student id 'Gruff' as he taunts Vito, "Silly, lad. She was helping you, you should have thanked her instead of spilling your dumb-mouthed-query."

Professor again lifted his own index finger while his expression seemed to be life-threatening against those bullies taunting Vito, his voice getting louder and scarier than his puffing moustache, "Such an insolence! Taunting a student during my presence! You speaking idiots are detained!".

Riktor took some moment of silence while they were silent as well to avoid getting more detentions.

Professor's mustache puffed up before speaking up, "Alright, fine, Mariada, you are my top favorite pupil, so I grant your request. If he breaks the rules again, I won't take your words further.". He then glances at Vito using his deadly look, "Take her mercy and apologize to her or else, I will fire your soccer-butt!".

Vito nods his head before turning to Mariada with his apologizing look, "I am certainly sorry for my rudeness. Please forgive me, Mariada Reis."

Mariada pauses in embarrassment before she hides her face and nods her head with her shy voice, "Don't apologize, Vito. We are friends after all, and friends always look after each other".

Nasaf mutters in jealousy as he glances at Vito, "This guy had my girl wrapped around his head. He will pay for it", speaks as he grumbles before clenching his fist.

Skaletta Manor

At the main hall, a middle-aged black-pompadour-haired man, a peaky nose and pale white skin with dark blue colored eyes gazing over his newspaper.

A slight frown on his eyebrows rises as he reads the article that was about the weaponry incident before he turns to his left, "Daiko, get me a telephone right now, gotta call Masaf Skargaz urgently".

An old olive skinned bald man with a Hungarian white mustache, a transparent white old-fashioned spectacle before his light brown-lens eyes, Hungarian mustache, as he walks with the help of a red thick cane towards him named Daiko.

He speaks gently to him, "Yes, Vaan Skaletta. Certainly", moves the wheeled table towards Vaan and brings the telephone with a round dials to him, "Wouldn't you be upsetting your stomach of hunger, Boss Fifth? I bet my life that everyone want you healthier than pouring your mind for the sake of destructive weaponry.".

Vaan Skaletta scoffs and takes a smoky cigar from the cigar holder and takes a puff of it briefly, "How would you think I will upset my stomach intentionally? My mind is infinitely times more upset than my damn belly.

The Government just started a plot on banning weaponry instead of helping poor people in need where they need them the most. Such a situation is not fair. Now I have to think about saving my business.".

He sighs before shaking his head and blowing a cloud of smoke as he lifts a telephone and dials 4275 and puts it beside his ear while waiting.

After the phone is accepted, Vaan clears his throat before speaking, "Howdy, my ally. Did you witness such insolence on the front page of Daily Bacein?".

Skargaz Manor

A gentleman, slightly older than Vaan, white-skinned with a clean shaved with a black flow haircut, a roughness on his face is apparent, nods his head while drinking a glass of beer, "Why not, mate? We should kill the fucking governor", he throws the glass of empty beer against the wall.

Van notices the noise of glass shattering from the phone and scoffs, "Come on, Masaf, wouldn't you kill a person right in front of you accidentally? Stop thinking about killing humans instead. Think about diplomacy. We need to fight for people."

Masaf Skargaz shrugs his shoulders and looks for a bottle of beer while keeping the telephone beside his ear, "Keep asking, Vaan. There is nothing more than war. Diplomacy is for children. We say a triangle is a triangle, then they should listen. In the case of the government, even a greatest diplomat cannot please them using their proofs", he coughs deeply before gulping.

Vaan Skaletta sighs deeply before taking some moments in thinking without pulling out the telephone handle.

Masaf Skargaz scoffs at his silence and speaks slyly, "What happened, my friend? Did your sack just drop off?".

Vaan chuckles slightly before leaning back to the sofa and taking a sip of a coffee cup that had a high amount of caffeine, "Come on, Masaf. This one is coming from a man who always loses his temper and kicks other's arse who just mispronounced his name?", he scoffs while shaking head, "Grow up, man, come to your senses. All I want you to be my powerful ally rather than being the one being hated by the society of Nilandoria.

Masaf pauses to his words before coughing slightly, "You didn't have a life like me who always gets his prestige dead all the freaking time because of my father's past hardship he pulled durng his reign. Well, here I am, the sucks-essor of himself!", snaps his finger before clenching into fists.

Vaan sighs deeply before speaking slightly, "Look at yourself. Work on your temper then everything will be changed, ally."

Masaf rolls his eyes and mimics his words silently while listening to him, "Then let's talk it out in person, will yah? What do you say?", he smugs while pulling out his revolver.

Vaan thinks for a moment, "I have a meeting with the new clan called Kadiz regarding the weapon business. Perhaps they can be our new ally."

Masaf nods his head before signing his signal on a lady butler to bring him a coat, "No, it's not your meeting rather ours. Or I will kill ya, Vaan."

Vaan disagrees, "I'm not that dumb to have you meet a new family in our town. The first Impression is the permanent impression, remember"

Masaf clicks his tongue, "'New Family'. Not gonna miss this party". He hangs up the phone before smirking at himself.

Vaan pauses before looking at his telephone before speaking up, "Masaf. I am not kidding. Masaf? Ugh this damn you.", he turns to the butler, "Get me the hat and suit, get my horse ready. I have to ride on the way to the Kadiz Manor, after all, they are new here. I have to give them a warm welcome in the city.".

Daiko clears his throat and nods his head, "Definitely, Boss Fifth. However, I would like to recommend you to take some henchmen with you as a precaution, please."

Vaan scoffs and shakes his head, "You are always as cautious, you know that? Never mind, I trust them, their aura seems like a very optimistic people. I love them. One of their ancestors used to be my Grandfather, Yerek Skaletta's ally. So, please halt your suspicions"

Daiko sighs before walking towards him and takes an empty cup before cleaning up the desk, "I insist, Boss Fifth. Of course, you will not hurt your old man's favor"

Vaan nods his head, "Alright, Daiko. Seems like it's harder for me to make my point to you than having the government agree to my terms" , he takes up his old watch and wears his old brim hat that is the Skaletta's tradition of wearing it before he leaves.

Walking towards the exit, he snaps his finger at the guards while they prepare the stable to bring the horse colored light brown with white hair, a breed called Aegidienberger, out of the stable.

A young man in his 20s undercut blonde hair, comes to Vaan with a bunch of files to him, "Boss Fifth, I have found out that there is someone behind the decision of the Government regarding the idea banishment of weaponry".

Vaan pauses briefly before frowning deeply, "Splendid work, Jean. Who is it? From any clan?".

Jean takes some moments to breathe before shaking his head, "That's from the opposite party in our Kigrif Party. They claims that weapons are the reason of humanity's destruction."

Vaan snaps at him, "Well, it is also a weapon to protect people. Bacein isn't the country to wage a war. Why are they so afraid of us? Dammit!"

Jean shrugs, "Well, Boss Fifth, they claims to be pacifists", he sighs.

Vaan shakes his head before looking at his horse coming towards him, "I think the Maskin clan might have something to say about it. Kigrif Party has always been the coward of all time. They fear us. Alright, after the meeting with Kadiz clan, make an appointment to Maskin Family for me, Jean"

Guards prepare the stairs for him to get to the Aegidienberger while he took the mini stairs beside it.

Vaan caresses its mane before holding the rope, "How are you, Vera? You ate well?", he turns to Jean, "Keep me posted every single moment".

Jean nods his head before putting his fist to his own chest slightly in respect to him before Vaan leaves the stable towards the road while Vera neighs.
