"What’s wrong with you?" Yasmin seemed to have noticed Ryan's indifference towards her and was surprised for a moment, because Ryan had never treated her this way before.

"Nothing, I'm just tired after wandering around outside for two days." Ryan shook his head, still ignoring Yasmin's gaze.

To outsiders, it seemed that he had only gotten separated from the team while searching for food and disappeared for a day.

Only Ryan himself knew that in this short day, he had experienced the entire process from birth to death and from death to birth. Both his mentality and personality had undergone tremendous changes under the pressure of death.

"Okay, then. Let's go back and join the others." Yasmin didn't know why Ryan suddenly became so cold towards her, but because of her pride as a beauty, she also lost the desire to continue the conversation.

In Yasmin's eyes, Ryan was definitely an extremely ordinary person. Just like his name, he had an ordinary family background, ordinary abilities, ordinary looks and height, and ordinary work ability. He was a person from a completely different world from herself.

Just because Ryan once chased after her, and even tried to please her repeatedly, he was able to maintain a seemingly good relationship with her. Of course, all this was based on the premise that he was a drooling dog.

But now, Ryan stopped licking her boots, and his attitude was cold. He was even unwilling to pay attention to her.

The atmosphere suddenly became a little awkward. Fortunately, there were many survivors on night patrol following Yasmin. Seeing that Ryan, who had disappeared for a day, was found alive, they all came forward enthusiastically to express their concern and happiness.

"Thank you for your concern. I'm fine." Facing these people's questions, Ryan's attitude was of gratitude but it remained cold. He just nodded indifferently, squeezed through the crowd, and walked towards the gathering point inside the cafeteria.

Ryan would not be like this in the past. Perhaps it was because he had experienced a life-and-death experience that made him tend to be more indifferent.

Soon, he squeezed through the crowd and re-entered the gathering point.

After three months of being a hiding place, the interior space of the cafeteria had also been transformed to a certain extent. The hall on the first floor was used to store groceries and various daily necessities, and there were many survivors guarding them.

The second floor was the living area for the survivors. It was divided into small rooms with wooden boards. Most of the survivors slept upstairs.

As for the third floor of the warehouse, it wss the living area for a small number of important people, including Wallace.

After the end of the world, the survivors were divided into three categories: one were the deviants with awakened veins for evolution. The second were the potentials who had the chance for evolution after they awaken their veins. The last were the commoners with no ability to evolve.

Before the recent events, Ryan's room was also on the second floor, so he subconsciously walked towards the stairs, intending to return to his original room to rest for a while.

In a few hours, a wave of zombies would appear according to his system notification. Although he has completed the initial evolution, his current abilities do not allow him to face a zombie tide independently, so he must come up with a solution as soon as possible and complete the two tasks while ensuring his own safety.

However, just as he stepped onto the stairs and was about to return to the second floor of the warehouse, a fat guy appeared in front of him again, blocking the staircase. "Ryan?"

Ryan stopped, looked up, and stared at the person standing on the steps. He raised an eyebrow and responded indifferently, "Yes, what do you want, Lucas?"

Lucas was also Ryan's former colleague, but their relationship has always been bad. Especially after the apocalypse, this fat guy who once pursued Yasmin like Ryan, actually turned to Wallace in order to survive and became one of his most loyal brothers.

Of course, there were more reasons why Ryan hated him. On the previous day, when he was ambushed by Wallace and kicked into the zombie swarm. The guy closest to Ryan was Lucas. Not only did not help him, but there was disdain in his eyes when turned around and ran away behind Wallace.

"How come you're still alive?"

"Hmm?" Thinking back to what happened the other day, Ryan's eyes suddenly turned cold, "Why do all of you seem to want me dead...?"

"Hey……what do you mean? Nobody wishes you dead..." Lucas obviously didn't expect Ryan to say that. He was stunned for a moment, then he forced a smile from his round face, "I'm just curious to know how you survived those things?"

"Maybe it's just pure luck, or maybe I'm already undead, just like them." Ryan ignored this guy and said. He was about to continue walking forward, but after taking only two steps, he stopped again.

Just because, in the corridor leading to his room, a tall and familiar figure appeared, which made Ryan narrow his eyes into blades.

It was Wallace!

At this moment, Wallace was surrounded by several minions of his who he liked to call little brothers, walking towards the stairwell with a smile on his face. When he saw Ryan who was left behind, came back, he was obviously shocked for a moment and the smile on his face gradually froze

However, this guy didn't ask Ryan how he got back like the others did. He just froze for a moment, then showed his signature arrogant sneer. "I'm quite surprised that you could make it back."

"Yeah, I didn't expect that I would still be able to return to this place alive either." Ryan was also smiling, but his eyes were narrowed into slits, but his gaze was as sharp as a knife. The murderous intent in his heart kept beating, making him clench his fists tightly. The burning anger was almost devouring his sanity.

Ryan, struggling to hold back his anger, almost pounced on Wallace, but in the end, he still managed to control himself and endured it.

Now was not the time to completely turn against him. After all, Wallace was also a deviant, and he had acquired the ability to evolve as early as the first month after the doomsday. Added to that were the minions around him, his little brothers, if there wss a head-on conflict, he would definitely come out worse off.

So he chose to endure it for the time being. He just raised his eyes, stared coldly at Wallace, and asked in a hoarse voice. "Why, Wallace?"

The mutated beast mothers saw that it was getting dark, but they did not launch another attack. Instead, they ordered the other mutated beast units to dig various bunkers. After bombarding the human trenches, they suddenly realized that trenches were indeed a good thing.Inside the trenches, the soldiers were too exhausted to think about anything else. All they wanted to do was get a good night's sleep. After a day of intense fighting, their mental and physical strength had reached their limits. To prevent the mutated beasts from launching a night attack, the two wheeled armored brigades that they had been holding onto tightly had been split into individual companies and reinforced at the front lines."The ammunition consumption statistics for today have also come out. The three Eagle Eye Artillery Regiments have basically exhausted all their ammunition. They can't even gather ten shells for each cannon now. Xie Hui, can your supply transport be carried out at night?" Zhou Xuezhi loo

"Cease fire! Cease fire!" the squad leader shouted from inside the trench. The soldiers slowly lowered their assault rifles. Looking at the dismembered limbs outside the trench, the soldiers felt a little nauseous, but that was all. They had grown up and gotten used to it quickly."They seem to have retreated." The soldiers looked at the position outside the trench, which was now completely still. Flames burned on the battlefield, burning corpses and emitting a foul stench. Sparks ignited the flames of life on the corpses, and various broken limbs and scrap wood became the best fuel for combustion. The occasional twitching of limbs atop the pile of corpses suggested that the lucky survivor might still be alive. Inside the crater, a human combat robot was constantly emitting bursts of electronic sparks. The blades that had sprung from its arms were bent, and the huge, hollow wound in its chest was the main reason that this combat robot had stopped working. The combat robot's most impr

Twelve Sky Dome drones maintained their flight altitude at around 7,500 meters in the sky, each carrying a "Father of All Bombs" bomb inside its belly. The massive bomb occupied most of the space inside the fuselage, and the timing and altimeter mounted on the bomb were recording a series of data."Get down, don't run around, are you trying to kill yourself?" A squad leader pulled his comrade back into the trench. The other man had just tried to cross the trench to retrieve ammunition, which the leader saw as tantamount to suicide. The enemy's dense artillery fire had already pinned them down, preventing them from getting up.The soldier didn't say anything, just sat in the trench to rest for a while, and then started running in the trench again. The squad leader set up his rifle and quickly killed several mutated beasts that tried to get close. An assault beast rushed in from the gap in the machine gun fire, and he quickly took it down with a few bursts of fire. The squad leader to

Sun Xucheng, Zhou Xuezhi, and the others came up together and looked at the location Xie Hui pointed to. They realized that Xie Hui's target was the enemy's artillery assembly group. "The idea is not bad, but do you still have enough air power? It is unlikely that you can rely on the forward positions to carry out the third wave of the enemy's offensive.""Of course, no problem. We can use high-powered bombs to bomb these positions. For the front line, we suggest using gunships. As long as the gunships are present, we will have enough power to prevent the enemy from assembling on a large scale. The mutated beasts that have not formed a large-scale assembly are not a high threat.""Gunships can provide sufficient air firepower to the front-line troops at any time. Our only concern now is when the enemy's air force will move. If we commit all our air power first and without reservation, we will naturally have no problem repelling the enemy's third wave of attacks, including any non-ai

The machine gun fortress spewed out tongues of fire, sweeping away the mutated beasts in front of it. The large-caliber bullets killed instantly upon contact and injured even if they grazed the target. Wherever the fire tongues passed, only paths made up of broken limbs and flesh remained. The machine gunner frantically pressed the trigger, holding on tightly, while his assistant kept shouting to him to pay attention to the firing rate."Left front, right front, left front, right front." The deputy used one hand to brace against the machine gun arm, fearing that the enemy would become bloodthirsty and disregard everything. Guided by the machine gun fire, it swept back and forth, forming barrages of bullets to block the mutated beasts' attack and make them pay a heavy price, advancing only a few hundred meters.Inside the trench, the soldiers watched as the mutated beasts launched their third offensive. In terms of both manpower and equipment, the beasts were far more formidable than

The robot vacuum cleaner unearthed energy cores one by one and was preparing to collect more corpses when it received an order to retreat. The robot vacuum cleaner looked at the dark mass of mutated beasts rushing towards it in the distance, accelerated and ran away without looking back, not forgetting to throw a few small gifts on the ground as it ran away. One by one, small objects, no bigger than a human hand, were thrown on the ground, flashing red light. The mutated beasts roared and pounced. Their first task was to drag back the corpses of their own people to replenish their food reserves. This time, the mutated beasts' operation was not affected by artillery fire. The cadets of the Eagle Eye Howitzer Regiment sighed. They had already used up a batch of shells, and new shells had not yet arrived. Their stockpile was already severely depleted. The previous two rounds of attacks had been too intense, causing their shell consumption to fall short of replenishment.Of course, when t
