Almost reaching to the Destroyed Fate mountains, Lazy Wafula started to feel the strong bloodthirstiness. It seemed like they were about to meet the beasts. The beasts seem to avoid the area around the shelter for some reasons which baffled him because the system had told him that low tier shelters tend to be attacked by beast hordes. Shouldn't those beast be roaming around the shelter while giving the cultivators a difficult time to chase them away?

The earth of this cultivation plane seemed to be alive as of now, it was releasing a dark mist which made him revitalized as if he had drank something cool after walking in the desert for a long time without finding water anywhere.

"Beep"

"Level one bood energy +1"

'The heck! Just walking around the area can make one fill the blood energy bars? ' Lazy Wafula was astounded. He never imagined that he can gain blood energy just by being in this place.

"Beep"

"Host should know that the dark mist can only fill the level one bar though at a slow pace. probably you can end up finishing to fill it up within a year if you depend on it and that is only filling up level one. So, host should not think about cultivating with the dark energy because it is a slow process. Find the concentrated blood energy from beasts. That will help you level up faster." 

'As expected.' Lazy Wafula had thought that he can just sit there meditatively and then the dark energy can fill his empty bars, but it seemed like he was overthinking it. He can not outplay the system.

The trees in the undead cultivation plane looked sinister as he can see some of them bore fruits that look like internal organs of different beings. Some trees had faces others had a resemblance with skeletons and so on. Lazy Wafula and Fey Wesonga had became used to such a sight and nothing can stop them from advancing.

Just a few minutes away from the Destroyed Fate mountains, they started to meet beasts. The first beast to come out was a creature with a single hind leg and two fore limbs. The creature had no hair on its smooth scrunched skin. Its head had little flesh as almost the entire head was taken by its skeleton. Its eyes were hollow and lifeless. But don't look down upon this creature, the creature just like a monkey, can move across the trees as if it was on the ground. It released an echoed laugh and dashed towards them while jumping from tree to tree. This creature never stopped laughing which got in Lazy Wafula's nerves.

"How do we share the blood energy of this beast?" Lazy Wafula asked Fey Wesonga, his eyes not leaving the laughing maniac. 

Fey Wesonga paused for a moment, he was expecting Lazy Wafula to ask him the strategy that they were going to use to bring down this beast but the guy was asking him about dividing the meal and they had still not yet gotten their hands on this meal. The guy was proud and impulsive for sure.

"I think this beast should be yours for the taking. After all, we can not share blood energy. The next beast will be mine. We alternate that way." Fey Wesonga answered finally. "But how are we..."

Lazy Wafula didn't even wait for Fey Wesonga to finish what he was talking about and he activated his attribute turning himself black like ink and because he didn't have a weapon, he decided to use his hand like one. Fey Wesonga seeing that Lazy Wafula was preparing to fight, he didn't dare to be left out and he also activated his attribute which made his pores to release dark pungent smoke to the surroundings. He summoned a huge axe which had some skulls embedded on its handle.

While Fey Wesonga was still pondering about where to start from, Lazy Wafula didn't wait for the beast to reach them, he jumped as if he had wings and grasped a branch before swinging himself and then threw himself to where the beast was. At the same time, the beast was also in the process of jumping to another branch making them to meet each other midair.

Without waiting for further ado, Lazy Wafula swung his palm like a knife to the little beast but his palm passed through the after image of the beast before he slashed his hand on another branch snapping it in half. The tree which he was on released a shrill and shook itself from side to side wanting to shake off Lazy Wafula off it. Suddenly, Lazy Wafula felt a gut feeling and instinctively without thinking much about it, he allowed himself to fall to the ground with a thud. The space where he had been earlier was then occupied by sharp blades which were aimed for him. The blades suspended in the air and without finding anyone there, they retracted from where they had came from.

"Fuck! That beast tricked me into angering the tree. It wanted to use the tree to finish me off. Fey Wesonga, you should be vigilant! This creature is so conniving." Lazy Wafula warned him.

While they were still searching with their eyes where the beast had disappeared to, Fey Wesonga felt something and suddenly waved his axe aside which not only missed its target, but it also continued forward and struck the trunk of a tree beside him. Realizing what he had just done, Fey Wesonga turned to flee but it was already too late for him because a small sharp twig from the tree was already launched towards him at an insane speed. Fey Wesonga managed to get his head out of the way instinctively but his shoulder was not lucky because the twig changed its trajectory midway once it missed his head and stabbed his shoulder.

Lazy Wafula ignored Fey Wesonga who was screaming like a pig and slashed his palm at the trunk of a tree behind him. This strike was reinforced with his attribute which made it to burn with a black flame. The tree sensed danger and it thus bolstered itself with some more barks for defence and braced for the impact while ruffling its leaves to create wind so that it can get the pest out from there, but Lazy Wafula was immovable. He had learned the technique of being one with the earth while he was still struggling in planet Earth and he can not be easily uprooted. His palm cut through several defenses like butter before snapping the tree trunk in half. The tree released a painful banshee shriek as it fell, revealing the little beast in its hollow trunk. Lazy Wafula didn't wait even a second, his palm which had still not lost its momentum continued forward and cut the beast in two, his palm was only stopped by by the spiky spine of the beast. The spine had pierced through his palm but he didn't even twitch his face. He had gone through much pain than this one. The beast had breathed its last just like that.

'How do I absorb its blood essence' Lazy asked the system inwardly.

"Beep"

"Just allow your meridians to extend into its body and they themselves will do what is needed." 

With just a thought, Lazy Wafula allowed his meridians in the hand which was still deep in the body of the beast, he allowed the meridians to extend. Just like worms, the meridians tore his skin and came out extendingly to absorb the blood energy of the beast, thus milking it dry.

"Beep"

"Blood energy of Wood River absorbed +2"

"Blood energy of Wood River absorbed +2"

"Blood energy of Wood River absorbed +1"

"Soul of Wood River available. Do you want to enslave it?" Yes or No?

"What do you mean by that. I mean, the enslave thingy that you have just said, can you explain it further." Lazy Wafula was once again left in puzzlement by the system. Was there really more to gain that he didn't knew?

"Beep"

"After absorbing the blood energy of a beast of the cultivation plane, one can also enslave its soul if they want. These souls can metamorphosize into a weapon or something something useful depending on the inherent nature of the beast killed. I think you don't need me to also explain the use of a weapon right?"

Lazy Wafula was flabbergasted. 'So that was how weapons are found?' He turned to see the weapon in Fey Wesonga's hand and now that he was scanning it intently, he can feel some beastly aura from that axe. that has to be a soul weapon. Lazy Wafula quickly said "Yes" and the soul of the Wood River which he had just killed entered into his soul space.

"Beep"

"Soul of Wood River obtained"

"Nature of the soul gained - wood ability enhancement"

Lazy Wafula was stupified once more, he was expecting to get a weapon that will help him but he got an ability enhancement, what was that? He was a person who had an attribute of darkness where can he find wood ability in him to enhance it? He felt like he had just been conned by nature.

"Beep"

"Host should not be disappointed, your constitution is strong unlike that of other cultivators. Your constitution can allow secondary elements to exist in you. Feel yourself first. The blood energy that you have just absorbed from that Wood River had increased your understanding about wood ability a little, so, If you manage to absorb the blood energy of more Wood Rivers, your understanding about wood will soar and then you can use the Wood River's soul to enhance the ability that you had understood."

Lazy perceived himself and he can feel a faint sensation of Wood element in himself. This wood element was so faint that he can not even tap on it but he felt like if he absorb more blood energy of Wood element beasts, his understanding will soar and he can gain another secondary attribute other than his innate dark attribute. He was all glee. To have the ability to absorb other attributes, that will make him a force that can not be reckoned with among his peers because the system had said that this was also a part of his constitution. He knew that there may be no any other person with such a constitution and if there was, then they are only a few.
