Chapter 05

Ryu realized that Bella’s refusal was because she was worried about his condition. This made him feel a little helpless, and in the end, he chose to lie down on the bed.

Slowly, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

At night...

Bella returned to Ryu’s room while carrying a tray of food. Just as she entered the room, she was stunned to see the young man lying on the bed.

“It’s better not to disturb him.” Bella muttered softly, then she placed the food on the table near the bed.

However, just as she turned around, she was stunned to see the young man calmly staring at her.

“Eh, you’re not sleeping?” Bella was briefly stunned before asking the question.

“I already slept, tonight I probably won’t be able to sleep.” Ryu replied while sitting on the edge of the bed.

He took the food and ate it casually. Even though it was a bit bland, he didn’t really care.

As for Bella, she stood while waiting for Ryu to finish his meal.

It didn’t take long before Ryu ended the meal and placed the tray back on the table.

“Can’t I be discharged tonight instead?” Ryu asked while furrowing his brows.

Bella shook her head. “Just follow the proper procedure. Why do you seem so eager to leave?”

“Who would enjoy staying in a hospital?” Ryu replied with a rather deep question.

Bella fell silent, then she nodded in understanding. “Indeed, I sometimes think the same as you.”

“However, if I leave this job, who will support me? My family? My future?”

Bella shook her head briefly, then she took the tray with the empty plate. She walked out of the room where Ryu stayed.

As for Ryu, he only watched Bella leave. Just as the door closed, he muttered softly.

“So that’s how it is...” Ryu seemed to understand something, but he was not someone who would interfere.

He wanted to return soon, because he needed to take revenge, especially for that betrayal.

“That damned bitch! Just wait for my revenge!” Ryu stood and stretched. He started exercising for a while.

He got down and did push-ups casually. He didn’t push himself too hard, only reaching a hundred times before moving on to other movements.

It took nearly thirty minutes for Ryu to finish the workout. His body was drenched in sweat, and he even had to remove his clothes.

[Ding!]

[Mission accomplished.]

[Physical points increased by one.]

Ryu felt a warm current filling his body. He clearly felt as if he was reborn, and he enjoyed that pleasant sensation.

“I feel a bit stronger.” Ryu muttered softly, then he noticed that his sweat had dried and his body odor was unpleasant.

So he stepped into the provided bathroom and cleaned his entire body.

Just then, Doctor Eliza and Bella walked in. Their eyes widened when they did not see Ryu in the room.

“Nurse Bella, where is the patient?” Doctor Eliza frowned, her sharp gaze fixed on Bella.

Bella was also surprised. “I don’t know, Doc. Earlier, he was on the bed.”

Doctor Eliza’s expression turned displeased. However, the sound of running water made them turn toward the bathroom.

Doctor Eliza only began to feel something strange when she saw the floor wet with some liquid. “Sweat? Did he exercise?”

Bella, hearing that question, instantly recalled Ryu’s earlier words. “Ah, earlier he asked about wanting to exercise...”

“Doesn’t he know his condition just recovered?” Doctor Eliza truly felt a headache with that new patient.

Just as they were debating, the bathroom door opened. Ryu stepped out with only a towel wrapped around him, revealing his upper body.

Seeing the two women in front of him, Ryu slightly furrowed his brows. “Why are you here?”

But there was no response. Both their faces turned red, though Doctor Eliza recovered faster—after all, she was a doctor.

“What were you doing?” Doctor Eliza asked Ryu directly.

“Of course bathing, what else?” Ryu answered casually, then he walked to the wardrobe in the room.

He saw white clothes and black long pants.

“Oh, I didn’t expect the hospital to prepare a change of clothes for its patients.” Ryu smiled lightly as he said that.

“Are you really fully recovered?”
