The floor shattered like brittle ice beneath a siege hammer.
Colossal, black-iron tendrils lashed across the falling vault, grinding centuries-old stone to powder. Debris cascaded into the abyss below in a deafening roar of dust and violent tremors.
Japh didn’t hesitate. The divine core within his chest flared, and the silver runes along his Aeon-Strider Plate ignited with blinding radiance. In an instant, his perception of time dilated—the falling rocks slowed to a crawl, suspended in mid-air like floating embers. Activating the suit’s full power, a five-fold burst of speed surged through his limbs.
He lunged forward, a silver blur amidst the ruin. Catching Lira around the waist just as the flagstone beneath her collapsed, Japh kicked off a falling monolith, leapt across forty feet of empty air, and slammed heavily onto a stable stone balcony overlooking the Sunken Palace’s inner plaza.
The dust settled slowly, drifting over the ancient plaza like ash. Across the shattered expanse, standing before a massive, pulsating extraction rig, stood the High Warlord. Heavy black tendrils writhed from the rig behind him, coiling like parasitic serpents around the corrupted stone sarcophagus.
As the echoes of the collapse faded into a suffocating silence, the Warlord reached up. Hydraulic hiss and grinding metal filled the air as he unlocked his heavy iron visor and pulled it back.
Japh froze, the breath catching in his throat.
The face beneath was not a stranger’s. It was weathered, scarred, and framed by graying hair, yet every jawline, every contour of the eyes, and every bone structure was an exact, mirror image of Japh’s own face—aged thirty years by corruption and dark ambition.
"You always did move fast when pushed, my boy," the High Warlord said, his voice deep, resonant, and disturbingly familiar. He looked past Japh’s raised spear, his gaze softening into a cold, proud smile. "Did you really think it was a coincidence? The Sentinel matrix didn't bow to an anomaly, Japh. It recognized the divine blood in your veins. Our blood."
Lira gasped behind Japh, her knuckles turning white as she gripped his shoulder. "No..."
"It’s good to see you both again," the Warlord said softly, stepping closer. "My children."
Japh’s voice shook, tightly coiled with disbelief. "You're lying."
"Am I?" The Warlord gestured to the ancient sarcophagus behind him, its glowing seals flickering with volatile energy. "Do you think just anyone could bypass the Founder’s barrier? Unsealing the core required a sovereign sacrifice of pure, uncorrupted Founder lineage. Years ago, to shatter the first seal and gain the knowledge of these ruins, I had to give up what was most precious to me."
He paused, his cold eyes locking onto Japh with absolute detachment. "I sacrificed your mother. I drained Aris Lohrenetia of her life-force, line by line, until the ancient gates opened for me."
The name hit Japh like a physical blow. Aris Lohrenetia.
"And Kornite?" Japh choked out, his hand trembling on the shaft of his celestial spear. "Leaving us there... hiding us..."
"Was never about hiding you," the Warlord cut in smoothly. "It was a long-term cultivation. I needed your latent bloodlines to mature in peace until the day you sparked enough divine voltage to pinpoint the final barrier. You were the key, Japh. You always were."
A trap. Everything had been a trap.
A violent shockwave of pure rage erupted from Japh's chest. His divine core violently surged, spilling golden sparks across the balcony, the silver plating on his armor warping under the sudden, erratic heat.
Control yourself, boy! Zeus’s voice roared within the depths of his mind, sharp and urgent. He is provoking you! Blind anger will break your concentration—if your divine frequency destabilizes, the speed suit will lock and crush your spine!
Japh forced a breath through gritted teeth, struggling to suppress the tempest raging in his veins.
"Look at what we could accomplish together," the High Warlord said, holding out a gauntleted hand. "Join me, Japh. Fuse your pristine divine voltage with my dark bloodline, and we will rewrite the order of this entire continent. Or..." He cast a dark glance toward Lira. "...I can harvest your sister’s blood right now and claim godhood alone."
"Touch her," Japh hissed, "and I'll tear you apart."
"A pity," the Warlord sighed. He raised his left hand, spreading his fingers. "Ancestral Override: Sequence Zero."
A harsh violet pulse erupted from the Warlord’s hand. The Aeon-Strider Plate on Japh’s body instantly shrieked with metallic strain. The silver plating violently locked in place, the ancient suit recognizing the senior Founder bloodline issuing the command. The suit turned into a physical cage, its kinetic reserves violently reversing as the Warlord began siphoning the armor's stored energy directly off Japh’s body.
Japh fell to one knee, paralyzed, every muscle strain screaming against the mechanical deadlock.
"Watch closely, my son," the Warlord murmured.
Behind him, the massive black parasite attached to the extraction rig reared up. A crimson wave of thorny, writhing tendrils burst forth, piercing through the air—spearing straight toward the defenseless Lira.
Immobilized by his father's blood-lock, his armor seizing, and his energy draining away, Japh glared at the approaching strike. He reached deep inside, grasping the raw, burning core of his divine power, preparing to force it past its absolute breaking point before the plague could touch his sister.

Below, the artificial sun churned like a trapped star, its raw extinction voltage threatening to disintegrate every atom of their flesh."Japh!" Lira shouted over the roaring vortex.Japh reached out, his hand locking tightly around his sister's wrist. The warmth of her skin was no longer obscured by the cold, hollow static of Zeus's divinity. His mind was crystal clear—every memory of Kornite, every scrape, every promise, and his mother's final loving sacrifice burned brightly in his soul."I've got you!" Japh yelled back. "We do this together!"Lira raised the Sol-Caster. Drawing upon the deepest wellspring of her soul-weaving, she unleashed a blinding, solar cocoon of Aris's pure light that enveloped them both. The Siege of the Celestial Capital
The heavy iron clamps of the capital’s execution bay slammed around The Aegis Vanguard with the weight of a falling mountain.A dozen hover-dreadnoughts hovered above the dock, raining crimson suppression fields over the flagship’s upper deck. Automated enforcers—sleek, silver constructs built far superior to the Syndicate's crude armor—advanced across the boarding ramps, their energy blades humming with execution voltage."Surrender the spark, Vanguard Commander," the lead enforcer echoed in a cold, synthesized tone. "The Prime Founder demands the retrieval of the extinction asset."From the shadows of the bow, Japh's eyes burned not with cold godhood, but with sharp, tactical focus."Not today," Japh whispered.Flash.Utilizing the 5\times speed multiplier of the Aegis armor, Japh blurred forward. He became a streak of white-gold lightning, shearing through the first line of silver enforcers before their targeting reticles could register his movement. His double-headed celestial spe

The Forgotten Bond
The silence that settled over the smoking crater of the Sunken Palace was heavier than the thunder that had preceded it.Lira took a frantic step forward, her chest heaving as she reached out to the figure standing at the center of the devastation. "Japh! Please, talk to me!"As her fingers neared his arm, a harsh static of pure, white-gold electricity snapped through the air. The shock violently repelled her hand, leaving her palm stinging and numb.Japh didn't flinch. He slowly turned his head, looking down at her through eyes that burned with a cold, hollow, absolute white radiance. There was no warmth, no memory, no trace of the boy who had scavenged scrap metal to buy her bread in Kornite. To the divine consciousness inhabiting his frame, she was merely a strange mortal breathing his air."Identify yourself, mortal," Japh intoned, his voice layered with the distant, booming thunder of an ancient storm god.Tears spilled down Lira's dust-streaked cheeks. "It's me... It's Lira! I'm
Ascension of the Sun-Goddess
Beneath the shattered second conduit vault, Lira stood ankle-deep in rushing water, gazing at the floating orb of white-gold light left behind in the broken crystal basin. It hummed with the gentle, unforgettable warmth of her mother's presence.Driven by an unspoken pull, Lira reached out. The moment her fingers brushed the floating spark, it burned without heat. Threads of pure solar light wove around her right forearm, hardening into a sleek, ancient arc-gun forged from celestial white gold and etched with solar runes.A wall of black, parasitic tendrils surged down the flooded tunnel toward her. Instinctively, Lira raised the weapon. Unlike Japh's roaring, erratic thunder, the arc-gun hummed with a stable, absolute resonance. She squeezed the trigger—and a beam of concentrated sunfire punched down the corridor, vaporizing the dark tendrils in a silent, instantaneous flash.BOOM!Above her, Japh erupted through the shattered courtyard like a white-gold meteor, trailing a blinding w

"She’s been the battery of this realm for fifteen years. Every time you channel lightning, every time your core surges, you draw from the very wellspring I forged out of her spirit. Destroy the nodes, and you scatter her soul into the void forever!"Do not waver, boy! Zeus’s voice thundered, vibrating through the Aeon-Strider armor. The shadow speaks half-truths to break your resolve! Your mother's spirit is not a power source—it is a prisoner bound in chains of dark iron!"Shut up!" Japh yelled at the cavern walls, his voi
