Chp 313 - No Ordinary Car

The drama of the morning only seemed to increase as Jasmine burst into their room, just as Millicent finished dressing. She had been distracted by Jason and dressing up had eventually taken more than an hour.

Sending up a prayer to the heavens that she was fully clad, she turned towards the girl and smiled “Hey, beautiful. What’s up? What is with the rush?”

“Grandpa is here,” Jasmine said excitedly. “He brought a woman with him”

“Brought a…Heinrich is here?” Millicent asked in surprise.

“Yes, he is. He wants to see Daddy and Isabel was acting weird” Jasmine said thoughtfully.

“Oh yes, weird is the least of it,” Millicent thought anxiously. Then to Jasmine, she said “Go and tell Heinrich that we will be there soon”

Jasmine skipped out of the room, her school tie swinging like a pendulum on her neck. Millicent turned to face Jason as he came out of the bathroom.

He looked toward the door and asked “Was that Jas?”

“Oh, it certainly was. And…well, you have a visitor” Millicent sai
