A woman screamed just as they fell. “Argh! There's a dead body!” Her eyes stared fearfully at Elodi, who was pale and slumped weakly on the floor.

The crowd panicked, trying to get away from the sudden shocking situation. A woman in a hospital gown was being carried by a man covered in bloody wounds, and of course, their opinions ran wild in their heads.

Amidst the panic, Theo's hand slowly and weakly reached out and touched the shoe of a man nearby.

His lips trembled as he whispered weakly, “Help, please help me.”

“Hey, what are you doing! Get your hands off him, you bastard!” The guard of the man whose leg Theo had touched reflexively grabbed Theo’s hand.

Meanwhile, the man was stunned by his aide's excessive reaction towards Mattheo, who needed help. “What are you doing?” He reprimanded his aide sternly.

“But, sir, he looks like a dangerous person.” The man replied quickly, but then fell silent when a cold stare was directed at him.

He then turned his attention to Mattheo. The man was neatly dressed, with a large, sturdy build despite his age, which appeared to be well over forty. Unlike the others who had stepped back, he knelt beside Theo to check on him. “What happened to you, sir? Did you escape from the hospital?” He noticed the clothes Elodi was wearing.

“No, the hospital refused to help.” Mattheo tried to get up from his position on the floor, but it took time; his hands were shaking, and his vision was spinning.

“Please, take me away from here, sir. I have to save my sister.”

He didn't have time. Elodi was in critical condition. If he missed this chance, it might be too late.

The old man named Mark Spencer nodded his head, for some reason sensing something about Theo. He glanced at his aide. “Get that lady into the car,” he said, trying to help Theo up.

His aide looked hesitant. "But, sir, we don't know them. What if they are bad people and this ruins your reputation?”

Reputation? Mark stared sharply and sternly at him. “Do you think they look threatening?" He glanced around, indirectly reprimanding the people who were avoiding helping and looking away, and they seemed to avoid his gaze with guilt and awkwardness.

Mark looked at them with disappointment, but didn't dwell on it. He glanced back at his aide. “Don't talk so much and do as I say.”

Theo and Elodi's bodies were moved into the car. They were seated in the back with their heads leaning against each other, more precisely, Theo leaning her head on his shoulder.

Mark glanced back at them as the car drove off. “If that’s not the hospital you want to go to, can I take you to one I know? Both you and your sister look like you need help.” He looked at them with concern.

Theo looked at Elodi anxiously, his hand continuing to rub her cheek attentively. “Anywhere is fine, sir, but can we stop at the herbal shop first? I need something.”

“Find the nearest herbal shop.” He didn't say yes, but immediately gave the order to his assistant, who nodded.

As soon as they arrived at the herbal shop, Mark turned back. “Tell me what you need, sir. My aide will buy it for you.” He reached into his wallet and quickly took out a bill.

“No, let me buy it,” Theo positioned Elodi away from his shoulder and prepared to get out.

But Mark reached back and stopped him. “It will be faster if my aide does it. You are very weak right now.” He had been watching and realised that something was wrong with Theo's leg.

Theo then mentioned what he needed, and despite his sour face, the aide wrote it down without objection. He didn't want his boss to reprimand him again.

Once he was done, he immediately ran out to get it.

As for Mark, he stared at Mattheo with a questioning look. The types of herbs he mentioned were not well known to the general public.

He began to question who Mattheo was and decided to observe him further.

Upon arriving at a hospital room, Mattheo immediately asked them to provide a stove and a pot for him. Mark furrowed his brow in confusion but then ordered his men to comply.

While Mattheo was busy preparing the mixture and pouring it into the pot, Mark felt like he recognised the method. He tried to recall it, but his memory was vague and he couldn’t make sense of it.

He remained silent and watched as Mattheo placed Elodi, who was barely conscious, into the tub, then submerged her in the boiling water he had prepared earlier, pouring it into the bathtub mixed with the water inside, ensuring it was warm enough.

Nothing happened at first, until he saw Matheo press down on his sister's back. The dots were faint, but he was shocked when he saw a white light with a symbol he recognised appear from where Mattheo had pressed, and then Elodi's body reacted.

“Oh my God!” He was sure his eyes weren't deceiving him. The symbol was the one he had been searching for and which had disappeared from ancient medical civilisation. Mark leaned weakly against the doorway, watching what he saw.

He witnessed it himself, after which Elodi's pale face gradually returned to normal as her blood circulation resumed smoothly. He then approached them with slow steps.

When he was sure that Theo was no longer as busy as before, he gently patted him on the shoulder. “Sir, may I know what illness your sister is suffering from?”

Theo, who was sitting next to the bathtub where Elodi was soaking, nodded weakly. “She has cancer, in its final stages, sir.”

Mark opened his mouth, shocked and speechless, and nodded stiffly. There wasn't much that could be done at this stage, but just now he had seen a miracle in the change in her condition, which seemed more alive.

He then continued, “Then may I know your name and where your family is from?”

Mattheo startled, realising his mistake for not introducing himself. He tried to stand up more politely, but Mark quickly caught his arm as he was about to fall, losing his balance. “Matheo March. I come from the March Burgler family.”

The name was no longer officially behind his name, but his father always reminded them of their origins so they would not forget.

Hearing this, Mark's face turned pale, and he immediately sat Matheo back down while bowing respectfully to Mattheo. "It is a great honour to meet you, sir. I am Mark Spencer.

My family was the right hand of the previous March Burgler clan.” He introduced himself.

“Sir, you must leave immediately. People have gathered for your seminar." His aide appeared and stood behind him.

Mark glanced at him. “Cancel the event, I'm staying here.”

The aide was taken aback. “But sir, this seminar is very important for your reputation.”

“Tell them I have something more important and urgent to do. And don't argue,” he said coldly, showing no sign of tolerance.

The aide had no idea what importance he was referring to, but reluctantly, while glancing at Mattheo with a sneer, he nodded and withdrew.

Meanwhile, Mattheo felt guilty, and the introduction made him stare at Mark in confusion. He had no idea what Mark was talking about. His family had never had a right-hand man, except for the butler who had been employed since he was a child. But that man was not from the March family.

“I think you're mistaken, sir.” Mattheo got up uneasily.

He was quite familiar with the famous name Spencer. The man was quite powerful in the medical world and had a lot of influence, so he couldn't act carelessly in front of him.

Unfortunately, when he tried to get up, Mattheo felt a severe pain in his left tendon. He fell with a roar.

Mark approached him quickly and checked his condition. He glanced at Mattheo with a deep sigh. “The tendon in your left leg is in bad shape, sir. You probably won't be able to walk because you've been forcing it since earlier.”

Like being struck by lightning, Mattheo was stunned. At the same time, Elodi opened her eyes, turned toward him, and looked healthy. Theo didn’t know whether he should be happy or sad about this situation.
