" You are the most arrogant and most stupid man I have ever come in contact with. I should have seen this coming." Seraphina said angrily.

Kael said nothing but simply laughed.

" You honestly think I would stoop so low to sleep with someone like you?" he asked

The room went quiet at his word.

Kael's words even made Seraphina more pissed.

" You can talk all you want but you would never be above me. You are some gigolo who is looking for someone to rip off. It is only a matter of time before you come asking for some cash."

Kael laughed.

This time it was humourless.

" If only you knew who I really am." he said with a stern gaze.

" I don't care who you are, I don't care where you are from! GET OUT!" Seraphina barked, pointing her hands towards the door.

" But this is my room. I got this place." Kael said gently.

"Did I stutter? Or did you not hear me?! Get the fuck out of here!" she yelled again

"Alright... alright. You don't need to yell." Kael said a bit worked up.

He walked towards the table, grabbed his wallet and wristbands and was soon on his way out of the room.

The moment he stepped into the hallway, men were visibly seen standing firm on both sides.

Each of them bowed as he walked past them. Kael murmured to himself, checking his watch again.

" What the hell is this? I came here to meet my fiancé and..." Kael paused running his hand through his hair as he walked into the elevator.

The elevator made a ding sound taking him down to the lower level.

" You are here, young master!"

A man in his late forties rushed forwards towards Kael.

Kael's eyes darted back and forth. He could see some of the people staring at him wondering why a man who was dressed commonly was being addressed as Master.

Kael said nothing but simply walked away from prying eyes toward an extreme corner.

" Do you know why I go out dressing this way, Dennis?" he asked

Dennis shakes his head slightly. " I am sorry, Young Master. I should have been more discreet." he said apologetic. " I only wished to serve you."

With that, Dennis snapped his fingers and the men immediately dispersed.

" I don't want my cover blown, Dennis. I am a nobody and I will like to remain as such." Kael said with a stern gaze.

Dennis gulped real hard.

He still don't understand why a man who could give life to the dead would like to stay hidden from the world.

A part of him wanted to ask but he knew asking Kael questions was going to get him more riled up than usual.

" Since you don't want to be acknowledged sir, then can I at least make you comfortable?" Dennis asked

Kael said nothing but simply walked why Dennis followed like a loyal dog.

" I have gotten the rare master card, Young master." he said again.

Kael stopped abruptly.

He gave Dennis a hot look, " And how many time do you want me to tell you to stop calling me that when we are in the open?"

Dennis bent his head to the ground.

" Forgive me."

Kael said nothing but kept walking. " You were saying.." he said casually without looking at Denis.

They walked to a table and they both sat down.

Dennis slides a master card through the table towards Kael's front.

" This card is a limited version made for only you. It has unlimited spending and you can spend as much as you want.

You are free to use it as you please."

Kael stared at it before taking it off the table.

" Also, this card also comes with concierge service that only you are entitled too. It also has access to grant you entry to any top hostels and also give last minute reservations at any parties. It grants access to top securities and also, it grants you access to travel in private jets."

Kael simply nodded like everything Dennis had said meant little or no importance to him at all.

" Also, I am going to arrange a suite for you. You can retire to it anytime you feel bored or you want to relax. It is under a password only visible to you."

Dennis slid a car key across the table towards Kael again. " Here is the latest Ferrari spider. It is designed to your taste. This is just one of the many cars that await you in your villa."

Kael nodded.

" Would that be all?" he asked staring at his face.

Dennis coughed slightly, adjusting his glasses before speaking again.

“Just one more thing… sir,” he said carefully, lowering his voice. “There has been movement from the Council. They’ve started asking questions about your whereabouts.” he said trying to keep his tone calm.

Kael’s steps slowed, his expression hardening almost instantly.

The casual indifference he wore like a mask began to crack.

“And?” he asked flatly.

“They suspect you’re back in the city,” Dennis continued. “If they confirm it, they might… intervene.”

A faint smirk tugged at Kael’s lips, but there was no humor in it.

“Let them try.”

Dennis hesitated. “It might not be that simple this time. There are rumors… that they’ve found someone capable of matching you.”

Kael stopped walking completely. For a brief moment, silence stretched between them.

Then he chuckled.

“Matching me?” he repeated. “The world really hasn’t learned.”

He slipped the card into his pocket and twirled the car key once before gripping it firmly.

“Prepare the suite,” Kael added. “And keep watching them. I want every detail.”

“Yes, sir.” Dennis replied.

As Kael turned toward the exit, his thoughts briefly flickered back to Seraphina—her anger, her defiance.

A strange glint crossed his eyes.

“Interesting woman…” he murmured.

Then he stepped out, unaware that their paths were far from over.

The whole room froze. Eyes followed the strange man like he was a god when he moved. "Who is that?" Leo said with a smirk. Kael's gaze furrowed a bit. He remembered Dennis's word again. Someone was trying to play his role, but then all he had to do was relax and see how things were going to unfold. A golden chair was immediately brought towards him to sit in. The man was wearing a glove on his right hand, and his gaze was quite serious. The music quieted down a bit. "You all gathered here waiting for me. Didn't you?" his voice echoed. His feet clinking against the marble floor. Joe walked forward; he slowly bowed his face to the ground. "We didn't know you were going to grace us with your presence, mighty one. Welcome." Kael laughed gently, covering his mouth. One of the guards saw him and gave him a cold face. Seraphina's gaze landed on this strange man and rushed towards him with her knees bent. "Please, I need you to heal my father. I am ready to give you everything t

Both men looked back and were stunned. "What are you doing, Peter?" she said, slowly walking towards them. Kael paused. He didn't know the woman, but she was pretending to know him, and not only that, she was prettier and well-dressed. By now, Kael knew all the families who wronged him by sigils and even crests. His eyes landed on her breast, and he could see the sigil she carried.A silver crest shaped like a coiled serpent wrapped around a crown."Stand down!" she barked at the man holding the baton. "Sure thing, Miss Veronica. I didn't know he was with you," he said with a bow.His gaze landed back on Kael, and he immediately bowed. "I am sorry. I failed to recognize you. Kael's gaze furrowed slightly. Recognize me? No one knew who he was. Not even the Locharts. So whoever this woman was must be mistaken. "You should have shown him the card. Did you not have that, Peter?" She asked again. Kael coughed before he simply adjusted his cuffs. "I am sorry, Miss, but I think y

The Locharts stepped out into the night with a black SUV waiting patiently inside the mansion. Its engine purred to life like a beast the moment the chauffeur saw Seraphina, Leo, and Marcus walking towards the car. "I can't believe we are doing this." Seraphina said with a smile. "You need to behave, little sis; I don't want Leo thinking we need him so badly." Leo said with a corner of his eyes raised. Marcus stopped, just a few steps away from the car. "And what about Kael? What do we do?" Seraphina frowned. "You do have a way of ruining my night, don't you?"Marcus looked at her and then back at Leo. "We don't want him around, but yet he is your husband. What if something bad happened? Leo laughed. "Really, Marcus? A guy who could shoot that long distance and a man who could fight. What possibly could go wrong?" Seraphina walked into the car without another word. "You need to ease up, man. Kael is nothing that old man paints him to be." Leo said, "Do you even think a man lik

The Lochart's mansion felt like it was going to collapse anytime soon the moment Arthur walked back in. "How dare you?!" he barked, staring at Seraphina."What did I do now, Grandpa?" Seraphina said, rolling her eyes. "Do I need to babysit a grown-up man?" Arthur's face lit up with rage. "Vivan!" he said with venom. "Is this how you raise my granddaughter? A woman who talks back at her elder?" Vivan smirked, rolling her eyes like she didn't care about what her father had just said. "Dad, you need to understand that Kael is not a kid. Why would he do that? Did he even understand the gravity of what he did? How dare he challenge Leo?" she said. Arthur let out an air of frustration. "Oh my god! Do you even know what is at stake?" Leo laughed. "Grandpa, whatever it is that is bothering you, we can handle it." Arthur turned, his cane tapping the ground in frustration. "And what exactly have you been doing? Have you seen the chart? Our business is dwindling. Our stocks are dropping,
