AMELIA DOES NOT DESERVE YOU
Mr William always made sure that he called Amelia to greet her, at least twice a week, and it was obvious to his wife and other children. He liked Amelia and could not hide it, even before he got to know that she was his child.

He believed Amelia was brilliant. Mrs William still had some ill feelings toward Amelia.

A close family friend of the Williams was told about Amelia and Dub's birth, and because of this they acted irrationally towards Mrs William, and labelled her evil for exchanging the children, even though they kept the information secret from outsiders.

This reaction made Mrs William feel somewhat ashamed, careful and suspicious of anyone who came around her, believing that their family friend may have leaked the secret in some way.

Mrs William also felt pained anytime she remembered that she had no male child to call her own; even though Dub still contacted her and related with her well as his mother, she still felt like she was no longer his mother.
