“I need some sort of distraction. Call Rex and tell him to come meet me immediately.” William said before ending the call.

About fifteen minutes later, Rex pulled up with three of his men.

He stepped out of the vehicle, adjusting his jacket as he approached William with a calm, confident stride.

“We're here, sir. What do you need us to do?” Rex asked, eyes scanning the area instinctively.

“I need to get into that building,” William said, nodding toward the warehouse in the distance.

“And I need someone to distract the guards so I can slip in and out without anyone noticing,” he added.

Rex cracked his knuckles and grinned. “We’ll handle it.”

He motioned for his men to follow, then leaned toward William. “Give us three minutes.”

William nodded and melted into the shadows behind a line of parked trucks.

Rex and his men strolled up toward the main road that ran parallel to the warehouse.

A moment later, two of them began arguing loudly and dramatically. One shoved th

“There’s nothing to deny,” William replied. Ryker stopped in front of him. “So you admit it? You betrayed me.” “I stopped you,” William said firmly. “I couldn’t let you murder thousands of innocent people just because you wanted to make money. That was never part of the plan.” Ryker’s nostrils flared. “The plan? The plan was for power. The plan was survival. You were nothing before I brought you in. Do you remember that, William?” “I remember,” William said. “And that is why I agreed to your deal, but I never signed up for something like this.” “You ungrateful worm,” Ryker snapped. “Everything you are, everything you’ve built, was because of me. And now you stab me in the back?” Ryker pulled out his pistol and aimed it at William’s chest.“I should’ve killed you when we found you on that island.” The tension in the room thickened.Suddenly, a click echoed. Natasha stepped forward, her pistol raised and aimed squarely at Ryker. “Don’t,” she said, keeping her voice steady. “I won

The night air was cool when Natasha returned to the safe house. William was already waiting. He stood near the window, arms crossed. She stepped in quietly, her expression unreadable. “Well?” William asked. Natasha took a breath. “He doesn’t know.” William’s brow furrowed slightly. “Doesn’t know what?” “That you were involved in what happened,” she said. “He has no idea that you were working with Rayner and Thomford. He still trusts you.” William exhaled slowly and nodded. “Good. That gives us an advantage.” Natasha hesitated. “He wants to meet with you. Alone.” William turned fully to face her now. “Why?” “He says he needs help,” she replied. “He knows the security agencies are after him, and he’s getting desperate. He thinks... if anyone has the resources to help him disappear, it’s you.” William narrowed his eyes. “Disappear?” “He wants to discuss a plan. A way out. Somewhere safe where no one will find him. He believes you can make that happen.” Natasha explained. Willi

William’s phone rang. He glanced at the screen. It was Rayner. He answered immediately. “Did you get him?” There was a pause before Rayner spoke, his voice heavy. “No. He escaped.” William’s eyes widened. “Escaped? How?” “He used a flashbang,” Rayner explained. “He caught us off guard.” William’s jaw clenched. “Alright. Did he find out I had anything to do with it?” “No,” Rayner replied. “We didn’t talk that much before he escaped.” William exhaled. “Good. That gives us a little time.” he said before he ended the call. “Ryker escaped?” Natasha asked as he ended the call. William nodded. “Yes. This makes things a bit more complicated.”A worried look formed on Natasha’s face. “Are you sure Rayner and Thomford are telling the truth? How could he have escaped them? What if they decided to side with Ryker and turn on us?”Roland shook his head as he entered the conversation. “I don’t think so. The international security agencies are already aware of the bioweapon, it won’t make s

Natasha, Roland, and William sat around a small wooden table, their faces illuminated by the flickering screen of William’s tablet. They watched closely the video of the trial run that Rayner and Thomford had sent them. Natasha folded her arms. “You said you didn't want lives to be lost to the bioweapon, right?” “Yes,” William replied. Natasha glared at him sharply. “I find it hard to believe you were really okay with letting those men die just to prove that Ryker was creating a bioweapon.” For a moment, there was silence in the room. William and Roland exchanged a look that made Natasha feel like there was something she didn't know. She raised a suspicious eyebrow. “What is it?” “Well, the men in the video didn't actually die,” Roland replied. Natasha's eyes widened, her voice rising. “What do you mean they didn't die? I could clearly see the bioweapon taking effect and killing them.” “The actual prisoners were released with the help of Rayner and Thomford. The men you saw i

The underground facility buzzed with tension. Soft lights lined the ceiling casting a glow on the polished concrete floors. There were armed guards who stood along the walls, still and focused. Seated were some of the world’s most dangerous men. Crime bosses, black market arms dealers, and paramilitary leaders. These were men who mostly lived in the shadows. Ryker walked into the room where Dr. Frankenbaum was making preparations for the showcase. The Dr. was being watched by two guards. His lab coat was neatly pressed but his face looked pale. Ryker stepped closer to him, his voice low and menacing. “I assume the weapon is ready?” Frankenbaum gave a sharp nod. “Yes, General. The compound has been synthesized and all systems are functioning.” Ryker’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Good. Because if it doesn’t work, you know the consequences.” Dr. Frankenbaum swallowed hard. “You said if it works, I’d be free to leave. That I’d get my wife and children back.” Ryker’s lips curled in

“What are you doing here?” Thomford asked cautiously. “Wait….was it you who sent us the video?” Rayner interjected. “Yes. That was me. I’m glad you accepted my invitation.” William replied. William motioned to two chairs nearby. “Kindly take your seats and I’ll explain why I have asked you to meet me today.” Rayner and Thomford took their seats, both of them still cautious of William. Rayner wasted no time in questioning William “So why exactly are we here? And what was that video all about?” William took his seat across from them. “I want to stop the bioweapon project.” A look of surprise formed on both of their faces. Rayner scowled. “Why? Why now? You funded this damn project. The bioweapon wouldn’t exist without your money.” William didn’t flinch. “And that’s exactly why I’m here. Because I know what Ryker’s planning to do with it.” Thomford crossed his arms. “You’ll have to explain better.” “As you know General Ryker is planning to test the bioweapon across Crenshaw
