Take A Break

Antonio received a call from Lieutenant Gilbert and quickly drove to the station. When he walked in, his colleagues all stood up and clapped, “Welcome back, Marino.”

“We missed you, dude.”

“Of course you did,” Antonio muttered beneath his breath before he smiled at them.

“Thanks”

“Let’s hang out at the bar tonight, okay? There will be some hot chicks,” one of them said, and he nodded.

“Marino is a one-woman man; he will never cheat on his woman.”

“You know me so well.”

“Enzo Marino,” Lieutenant Gilbert called from his office door. Antonio smiled at his colleagues before he went to Lieutenant Gilbert’s office, and Leo was present as well.

"Sergeant,” Leo saluted with a respectful tone, which made Antonio happy. He nodded and sat next to him.

“We are all glad you are back and ready to take on fresh cases.”

“Of course, I am here to stay; the shadow is behind bars; one case less to worry about.”
