ECLIPSE

The sudden interest of billionaires in real estate beyond Earth led to a massive gold rush for the moon, then Mars, and eventually, Titan. Given the proximity of the moon, it was easier to settle there. It was first used as a fueling station for the preparatory stage of colonizing mars. Over time, the moon got frequent visitors and it went from an interplanetary gas station to a tourist attraction site.

Mars is still being terraformed and Titan is mainly a lab for extreme research or a hideout for the ultra-wealthy.

The gold rush and the emerging technologies that came with it led to a massive economic boom on the Lunar surface. Over time, the moon became a self-sustaining economy. They gave themselves 'Lunar City'. Visiting tourists became permanent residents.

Although Lunar City sees itself as an independent Republic, Earth holds a different opinion. Lunar City has been trying to assert herself through passive-aggressive means. Earth played both the deaf and blind. A costly mistake.
