Power System! Spoiler Alert!
READ!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!
I. Character Mechanics Characters, including humans and intelligent races, are defined by a set of attributes, a progression system, and unique abilities. A. Core Attributes * Stats > Measure fundamental capabilities like Strength, Agility, Endurance, Intelligence, and more. These are the raw building blocks of a character's power. * Level > Represents a character's overall experience and growth. As characters gain experience, their Level increases. When a level up happens the awakener get a permanent 3 attribute points to all attributes categories permanent while obtaining a free 2 undistributed attributes points for them to decide which to put them * EXP > Experience Points are accumulated through various actions and are required to increase a character's Level. * Rank > Indicates a character's overall threat level, ranging from F (lowest) to SSS (highest), with a "???" rank for ultimate unknown power. B. Character Abilities Characters possess a variety of abilities that define their unique combat style and potential. 1. Talents * Definition > These are unique powers inherent to individuals. They are a primary source of a character's distinct capabilities. Types of Talents: * Manipulation: Influencing elements, energy, objects, forces, and abstract concepts. * Alteration: Changing the properties or form of matter, energy, or living beings. * Cognitive/Sensory: Affecting the mind and senses. * Creation/Conjuration: Bringing forth new entities or substances. * Temporal/Spatial: Influencing time and space. * Special/Unique: Unprecedented or hard-to-categorize effects. * Rarity/Power > Talents are ranked from F (Basic) to SSS (Divine), indicating their potency. * Unlocking Potential > Characters can unlock hidden potential within their Talents through rare events, personal breakthroughs, or synergy with dungeon cores. 2. Racial Traits * Definition > These are inherent bonuses or abilities directly tied to a character's race (e.g., Mutated Human). * Progression > Racial Traits can evolve through significant events like awakenings or hybridization. 3. Class System (Humans & Intelligent Races Only) * Availability > The Class System becomes available to characters once they reach Level 50. * Purpose > A character's Class defines their skill style, combat path, and how their abilities progress. Class Rarities: Classes are not all equal; their rarity indicates their potential and accessibility: * Normal Class > These are standard and widely accessible (e.g., Warrior, Mage). * Elite Class > More potent and flexible, these are rare among common characters. * Hidden Class > Requires special conditions to unlock and is often unlisted. * Unique Class > As the name suggests, only one individual can hold this class at any given time. * Monarch Class > Represents world-defining powers and is considered the legendary tier of evolution. Class Mastery Tiers: Beyond rarity, the true power of a Class is determined by its Mastery Tier. A higher Mastery Tier significantly multiplies a character's effective power. * Novice (★) > Base Power > Just learned. Poor control. * Adept (★★) > 2-5$\times$ Power > Has refined one path. * Expert (★★★) > 10-25$\times$ Power > Skilled with versatility. * Master (★★★★) > 50-100$\times$ Power > Dominates class use. * Grandmaster (★★★★★) > 100s$\times$ Power > Transcends typical limits. * Legend (★★★★★★) > 1000s$\times$ Power > Breaks rules of the class. * Transcendent (★★★★★★★) > Reality-Influencing Power > World-affecting mastery. * Divine (★★★★★★★★+) > Incalculable Power > God-like. Causes phenomena passively. Condition for upgrading up mastery: * Ascending Stone * Near Death Experience. Strange Events. * Enlightenedmen (Mastery over class, training, repeated action, or acquiring new knowledge) > 💡 Important Note: Class Mastery is crucial. For example, a Normal Class at Legend Mastery is far more powerful than an Elite Class at Novice Mastery. II. Monster System Monsters operate under their own distinct set of rules regarding threat levels, innate abilities, and evolutionary paths. A. Monster Rank (Threat Level) Similar to characters, monsters are categorized by their threat and power level: * Ranks > F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, ??? B. Monster Class (Inborn) * Definition > Unlike character classes, Monster Classes are fixed at birth (e.g., Brute, Shadowspawn, Reaper Maw). * Evolution > While fixed, a monster's Class can evolve under specific, rare circumstances: * Phenomenal events (e.g., mana storms, anomalies). * Devouring higher lifeforms. * Exposure to dungeon cores. C. Monster Progression (Biological Evolution) Monsters advance through tiers, significantly increasing their power compared to Ordinary monsters of the same Rank. * Ordinary (★) > Weak creatures. * Elite (★★★) > 5-10$\times$ stronger, can outmatch humans. * Unique (★★★★) > 10-50$\times$, special traits. * Boss (★★★★★) > 50-100$\times$, often rule dungeons. * Variant (V + ★) > Mutated versions with variable threat. * Transcendent (★★★★★★★) > Hundreds-Thousands$\times$, warp reality. * Divine (★★★★★★★★+) > Incalculable. World-scale threats. D. Monster Mastery (Instinctual Evolution) Monsters also achieve Mastery, but their progression is instinctual and biologically driven, impacting their combat effectiveness and influence on the environment. * Lesser > Comparable to Novice-Adept (Human) > Basic instincts only. * Feral > Comparable to Expert (Human) > Tactical evolution (e.g., pack behavior). * Greater > Comparable to Master (Human) > Gains resistances, combat strategy. * Prime > Comparable to Grandmaster (Human) > Biological adaptation; dominates ecosystems. * Elderborn > Comparable to Transcendent (Human) > Territory corruption, aura projection. * Apex / Divine > Comparable to Divine (Human) > Breaks dungeon rules. Can cause disasters. > 🆚 Mastery Comparison: A Rare-rank monster with Prime Mastery can overpower an Epic-rank monster with Lesser Mastery, showcasing the importance of Mastery. III. Human vs. Monster: Comparison Here's a quick overview of the fundamental differences in power sources and progression between Humans (and other races) and Monsters. * Power Source: * Humans & Races > Talents, Stats, Class, Gear * Monsters > Class (Inborn), Rank, Mutation, Instinct * Power Growth: * Humans & Races > EXP, Training, Breakthroughs * Monsters > Devouring, Phenomena, Dungeon Absorption * Class Progression: * Humans & Races > Level 50 Unlock, Rare Class Rarities * Monsters > Inborn, Evolves rarely * Mastery Progression: * Humans & Races > Skill-based & conscious * Monsters > Instinctual, mutation-based * Divine State Impact: * Humans & Races > Reality-warping combat * Monsters > Natural disasters, global changes IV. Equipment System Equipment plays a vital role in augmenting a character's power. It's categorized by tiers, indicating its rarity and effectiveness. Tiers: * Crude/Broken * Common * Uncommon * Rare * Unique * Epic * Legendary * Mythic Properties: Equipment can provide various benefits, including bonus stats, enhanced durability, magical effects, and skill enhancements. V. Dungeon System Dungeons are critical locations within the world, offering challenges and rewards. They are ranked by threat and indicate the level range of monsters found within. A. Dungeon Rank: * Ranks > F ➝ SSS, mirroring character and monster ranks. B. Portal Color (Visual Indicator of Rank): * Green > F-Rank * Light Blue > E-Rank * Blue > D-Rank * Yellow > C-Rank * Orange > B-Rank * Red > A-Rank * Black > S-Rank * Void/Dark Purple > SS-Rank * Prismatic/Ethereal > SSS-Rank C. Level Range (Recommended Character Level): * F > 1-50 * E > 51-100 * D > 101-150 * C > 151-250 * B > 251-350 * A > 351-500 * S > 501-750 * SS > 751-1000+ * SSS > 1000+ D. Rewards: Successful completion of dungeons can yield valuable resources, including: * Talent Crystals (Enhances talent rank, it takes a whole lot of it to evolve rank of talent, the drop rate is so rare that chances are 1%) * Dungeon Cores (You can obtain dungeon cores when you destroy one) * Rare Materials (A rare drop, can be use to enhance and create weapons) * Ascending Stones (A super rare drop from boss monster that can be use to evolve and upgrade class mastery) * Item Drop (The most common but has a rare drop also from defeating all sorts of monsters whatever the rank is) * Monster Cores (A rare drop from monster that can enhance attributes, how rare is it? Just think how Zander couldn't even get one even after defeating a whole bunch of it.) VI. Currency * Nova Credits > The standardized currency used throughout the world for trade, upgrades, healing, and accessing information.Expand

The All Consuming-Self Chapter 10: Rapid Transformation
A violent, guttural BOOM ripped through the sudden, shattered stillness of the cavern, a shockwave of raw, unbridled energy erupting from Zander’s convulsing, broken form. The Orc King, caught completely off guard, was hurled backward several meters, its massive body skidding across the stone floor with a thunderous roar of bewildered pain and outrage. Zander himself slumped forward, a broken, armless mass of twitching flesh and raw agony. Yet, even in the depths of his unconsciousness, his body began to move, to writhe with an eerie, unsettling animation, driven not by conscious thought, but by the nascent, monstrous power of his newly awakened talent and the gnawing, all-consuming emptiness of his Hunger Pool.[Target Located: Initiating absorption of nearby biomass.]A swirling, nauseating vortex of sickly crimson and black erupted from Zander’s being, a terrifyingly hungry entity that writhed and pulsed with a malevolent, silent intent. It descended upon Kael’s mangled remains wit

The All Consuming-Self Chapter 9: Awakening
The Orc King’s guttural laughter rumbled deep in its ruined throat, a sound thick with cruel, triumphant amusement that vibrated through the very bones of the chamber, echoing in Zander's shattered skull. It adjusted its massive, bloodied foot, shifting its weight, grinding Zander’s armless, mangled torso deeper into the cold, unforgiving stone floor with deliberate, almost gentle pressure. Ecstasy, pure and perverse, flickered like an infernal flame in its single, bloodshot eye, as it savored the raw, agonizing horror etched on Zander’s bloodied, contorted face, relishing every shudder, every silent scream.A weak, almost inaudible laugh, more a ragged gasp of bitter defiance than mirth, escaped Zander’s bloodied lips. “You… you perverted… monster,” he whispered, the words barely audible over the Orc King’s triumphant growls and the distant, fading sounds of the lesser horde. “Enjoying… someone’s pain… this much?” His voice was a thin, reedy thread of sound, but the contempt, the bur

The All Consuming-Self Chapter 8: A Pretender's Demise
Zander fled blindly, his lungs burning, each breath coming in ragged, desperate gasps that tore at his throat. The indelible image of Kael’s pulverized remains was seared into his mind, a grotesque, horrifying testament to the raw, uncaring, and absolute power that truly existed in this brutal world. He scrambled through the cavern, his hands scraping against the rough, damp walls, his nails tearing, a desperate, cornered animal seeking any crack, any shadow, any sliver of hope that could offer an escape. But his unawakened body, never built for such prolonged exertion, began to betray him. Fatigue, a heavy, leaden weight, dragged at his limbs, each step a monumental effort. His vision blurred, swimming with black spots, and a cold sweat drenched him, making his tattered clothes cling uncomfortably. He stumbled, his foot catching on a loose rock – the very same kind of treacherous, unassuming stone that had twice before intervened in his near-demise, granting him a miraculous, undese

The All Consuming-Self Chapter 7: A Power-Up
The Orc King’s massive, bloodstained axe descended with the terrifying speed of a falling guillotine, a colossal shadow eclipsing the sickly blue light of the cavern. Zander, his eyes wide with a pure, animalistic terror, flinched violently, his muscles tensing, bracing for the inevitable, for the split second of agonizing pain before oblivion. But in his desperate, unthinking panic, his foot caught on another loose, unforgiving stone. He felt the sickening lurch as he lost his balance, sending him sprawling backward in a clumsy, undignified tumble. The colossal blade whistled inches, mere inches, above his head, the sudden rush of displaced air from its passage ruffling his pathetic excuse for hair, carrying the faint metallic scent of blood and pulverized stone. He landed hard on his butt, the impact jarring his spine and sending a fresh wave of pain through his already battered body. A strangled, unmanly yelp escaped his lips. It was a near-miss so absurd, so undeserved, so utter

The Orc King, its massive chest heaving with a chilling amusement, let out a series of guttural, mocking laughs that echoed through the cavern, each resonant sound a hammer blow to Zander’s dwindling sanity. Diversion? Keep that thing occupied with Sparkplug’s… potent energies?” Her voice was shrill, laced with the sharp edge of hysteria as she gestured wildly at the towering, monstrous Orc King, its aura of malice radiating across the room. “Are you completely insane, Captain?! That thing could swat us like flies! It’s B-rank, you idiot!” Her eyes, wide and bloodshot, were fixed on Zander, pleading for an answer he didn't have.Kael, his youthful face pale and drawn, finally found his voice, though it trembled
