​The shaft leading down to Floor 8 was not a physical opening. It was an absolute gravity well—a dark, screaming void where light curved and the air itself was crushed into dense, glowing violet crystals.

​Leo dropped into the abyss without taking a single breath, his bare, silver-sheened shoulders cutting through the crushing atmosphere like an obsidian wedge.

​Behind him, Bram and Chen fell through the howling air, held together only by the absolute limit of Bram's glowing blue runes and Chen's protective shroud of razor-sharp black mana.

​From the dark, starry expanse above, the ceiling began to descend.

​The black plates of his Void Armor didn't just wrap around his arms—they expanded, covering his chest, shoulders, and legs in a terrifying, spiked suit of black-and-crimson void-steel that absorbed all light and gravity in the room.

​Leo squeezed his fingers into the black star-metal of the titan's fist.

​With a single, effortless flex of his 363 Strength, Leo crushed the Sovereign's colossal iron fist into a twisted wreck of scrap metal.

​The titan let out a deafening roar of agony as its arm collapsed inward, hydraulic void-fluid spraying across the void like black rain.

​"My turn," Leo said.

​He leaped off the floating stone fragment, breaking the sound barrier ten times over in a split second, appearing directly in front of Malakor’s three-hundred-foot helmet.

​He pulled his right fist back, loading it with the full 12,500 kinetic charge combined with the absolute weight of his new stat ceiling.

​He landed lightly on a floating quartz ledge, his heavy dark coat fluttering around his ankles, looking down at the dark, bottomless abyss leading to Floor 9.

​Chen and Bram pulled themselves up onto the ledge, gasping for breath, staring at Leo with eyes filled with pure, unadulterated awe and terror. In less than two hours, a single carrier had dragged Class Zero through eight floors of the Deep Abyss and slaughtered a High S-Rank Sovereign with his bare hands.

​Leo slowly turned his head, his crimson eyes glowing brightly under the shadow of his hood.

​"Take ten seconds," Leo said flatly, flexing his gauntleted fingers. "We have two more floors before this breach is fully cleared."
